Yates Home Store is a family-owned hardware, lumber, and appliance store in Tellico Plains. It is valued for its convenience and for having a little of everything, from lumber to appliances, plumbing, paint, and nails. The inventory range is good. Some find the staff very awesome, helpful, and friendly, offering great support and delivery. However, some workers aren't always the nicest and can seem indifferent, missing the mark on customer service. As the only local hardware store, prices are a bit higher and cannot compete with big outlets, sometimes feeling ballooned. Parking can also be tricky. Despite this, many prefer it over larger chains for its proximity and broad selection.

For convenience in Tellico it gets all stars. For inventory range and availability it gets four stars. It also gets low marks for prices. It's not their fault, and they can't ever compete price wise with the big outlets, but sometimes their prices are ballooned.

The staff at Yates is very awesome. One of the lady's there help me for a hour and a half today to help me find just what I needed.
