Worst first day on my first vacation with my fiance. He took me horse back riding on our first day in Tennessee because he knows how much I love horses. I have had experience riding and caring for horses for decades now. I am 29 years old and these little girls who were as big as me put me on a pony! I didn't really realize it till I turned around and saw that everyone's horses were huge compared to mine. While they were loading us up on the horses one of the little girls was flirting with my fiance. After I got on the trail that's when I realized I had a PONY. When I asked the male instructor why, his response was "because your little". I am 5'2" and 115 pounds, this PONY was struggling up these hills with me. I have so much experience on horses and here I am looking like a child in front of my fiance. If I could go back to that day I would have confronted those girls for what they did because I truly felt like it was intentional With the way they treated me compared to my fiance. Absolutely horrible way to start off our week vacation. I will never go back because if I do a girl might get alot of words from me. Not one second of a good experience there. Paid adult price and didnt even get an adult sized horse and had to deal with flirty teenagers around my fiance.

The trail ride wasn't bad, but I was disappointed with our guide. She wasn't very interactive, and I had discovered later, after I had left, that I had dropped my wallet somewhere on the trail. When I drove back, she was still there and had mentioned that she thought she had seen something fall down halfway through during the ride but acted like she couldn't be bothered to help me find it. So she and another one of her coworkers watched me trek through the woods at dusk with two young kids as I searched for it.

Did a carriage ride and a trail ride. Pretty easy stuff. Good for beginners. Staff was very friendly. Sydney was very friendly and knowledgible. Even let the kids drive the carriage.

Horses in the field came up to the road for us to feed them apples and carrots. Was fun.

A great horse riding experience for the entire family. We showed up with 14 riders ages 10 to 62 and were greeted with warmth and enthusiasm from the handlers. Cades Cove is beautiful and to be able to ride such well taken care of horses in such a picturesque place is something a person should make happen for themself. The handlers were kind and had a great relationship with each horse. There’s also carriage rides. We didn’t go that route, but I saw others enjoying that ride. There’s a lot of stables around the Smokey Mountains (Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge); but let me tell you, this is well worth the drive. Our family could not have been happier. I highly recommend giving these kind people and their beautiful trail horses your business.

We had a great experience here. Our 7 year daughter, who never rode was expertly taken care of. The manager Debbie was super helpful and very friendly. We can’t wait to come back again.

On the trail ride we saw a buck and a hawk. This is the first trail ride I have ever been on where the horses had so much personality and did not just stay in the order they set out on but it was a nice ride and I would recommend this place if you want go on a trail ride

Loved this place. Sydney was great at putting people at ease with the horses. My husband and I had so much fun. Neither of us had ridden before as adults, but that wasn't a problem. The horses know what do, you just chill and enjoy the ride.

My husband and I drove up from Florida, rented a cabin and had our kids meet us up here from their different locations, but some of them didn’t make it after all. Top of the list of things to do was go horseback riding. Last week my son and grand daughter went riding, had a wonderful time, haven’t stopped talking about it. Then my husband’s son flew up and the three of us went riding. Debbie in the office was wonderful, very nice woman who I wish a speedy recovery. The guides were great. We had an awesome experience. The horses were beautiful and well behaved. Would recommend it to everyone.

This was the best experience ever. My daughters and I are not experienced but Alex was super attentive and gave awesome instructions. Debbie was absolutely the sweetest lady I’ve ever met. And my Milly (Horse) was a perfect match. We had such a good ride together. We even had matching hair lol. I loved every minute of our experience we will definitely come back.

This is the best way to experience Cades Cove. It beats sitting in your car for 11.1 miles bumper to bumper. The colors in the fall were a beautiful touch to the trails. Heads up: no cameras are allowed on the trail ride. For the most part, the horses are well trained to follow in line. I was given Billie who had a mind of his own. I didn't mind at all because it gave me a chance to actually interact with the horse.
