Loved this place on the quiet side of the smokies. Thank you for everything!

One of my favorite places I've ever stayed! So clean, cozy, and quiet! I usually struggle to sleep when traveling but everything was so comfortable, I slept like a rock! I even went online and ordered one of the blankets for my own bed at home because of how nice it was! Would stay again.
Rooms: Comfortable with cottage charm! Kimg size bed. Houses were built in the the 1800s, so staying in a historic home was a treat.
Nearby activities: Great coffee shop right up the road. And a lovely nature trail that connects it to the bnb
Walkability: There is a nature trail along the river you can walk to that has a playground on it, and if you follow it all the way it leads to a charming coffee shop!

We booked a room at the Strawberry Patch Inn through AIRBNB. The owner was very nice and helpful. This is a great little place in Townsend, just outside of the park! I would highly recommend staying here when in Townsend!

I just spent the weekend with my family. It is a beautiful two-story cabin right on the water. We choose this spot hoping for a quiet, relaxing place to come back to and unwind after spending time on the more populated side of the mountain. Unfortunately we were at the mercy of the other guests. During our 4 day, 3 night stay, we had three different groups who were particularly loud. The host is adamant about quiet hours beginning at 9:30pm and I was frequently woken up after midnight or close to it, or being woken up before 7am. Our neighbors directly beside us on the shared deck upstairs had a boombox on all afternoon and into the night. I had felt tired earlier in the evening around 7 so in order to take a nap, I had to put in my headphones and listen to YouTube to drown out their very loud music. The host is also very adamant about only smoking at the fire pit and there are “no smoking” signs all around the deck. Those same loud guests were constantly smoking on the deck when my 93 yr old grandfather and my mother who has mobility issues were taking themselves down all the stairs and across to the fire pit. This cabin is lovely and they have it set up so nice with lights strung through the trees, an arch, hammock, lots of seating, and the room was clean and nicely decorated. The drawbacks are the walls are so thin you can hear everything and the possibility you get disrespectful fellow guests during your stay who don’t care to follow the rules or if you enjoy your time there as well.

Loved staying here! We were booked for a night, but extended for two. The host was so kind, helpful and gracious. The rooms are cozy and very clean. Being on the Little River is so serene. I highly recommend and will be back on my next to trip to the Smokies!

Our stay at Strawberry Patch Inn was amazing! It was so relaxing and Wendy was so nice and accommodating to us. The room was way nicer than the pictures and it was super clean and smelled nice. Also, there’s bug repellent plug ins in the room and the porch area, so the bugs weren’t a problem at all. The river is beautiful and very soothing to hear and it’s near the national park so the view was wonderful. Townsend is a really nice place with really nice people and even had some good food places. It’s also only 30-40 minutes to get to Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and Sevierville (take the scenic route/back way; it’s makes the drive so much better). Overall, great stay and will definitely stay again!

Our 2nd time here 2 years in a row and this brought our kids - Beautiful small river front location and walking distance to so many cute local places - Wendy is such a great host - go walk to a riverfront trail or dive into the smokey mountains to go hiking along waterfalls or rivers or skiing. A relaxing sweet place.

Our room had lots of bed bugs. When we told Wendy the response we got was "I don't have bed bugs" and she then went on to blame us saying we left the door open, which we didn't but even if we did bed bugs aren't going to just walk on in. She was very rude and dismissive. She refused to accept the fact that there were bed bugs and even asked us what our "experience" was with bed bugs. These bed bugs also appeared to be fully grown. She acted like we were lying. Can't believe the attitude of this lady. Extremely unprofessional. If you're going to run an Airbnb you should probably take bed bugs seriously.

Be warned, host is rude. Our stay was so uncomfortable we left early and stayed at a hotel. Host offered no full or patrial refund on this misrepresented property. It is a 2-story cabin that has been sub-divided into 8 tiny units! What?! Our door was glass with no covering allowing everyone walking by on the porch to see inside. No ability to control your temperature (remotely controlled) and we were told not to contact the host for help after 9PM nor can you check in after that time. Cannot use fireplace, no televisions at all, slow internet, bedding was cheap, bed was hard, inadequate lighting, walls were thin (we could hear every step above us and could hear them having sex!) and an overall feeling of just old and nasty, even the shower rod was rusted. I could go on about how bad it was IMO but instead I'll just issue a warning. Be very informed before you rent this place. Wasted almost $700 on 3 night reservation.

This was our second time staying at the Strawberry Patch Inn. It was just as enjoyable and peaceful as it was years ago. Wendy was absolutely wonderful! Its away from the hustle and bustle but still a close drive to anywhere. Will be bringing the entire family next time!Rooms: Very clean and spacious rooms.

We stayed for a 3 day weekend. The cabin was the perfect balance between space and comfy. We didn't use the kitchen but the jet tub was huge. There were a few rules(such as a quiet time after 9:30) but they were understandable and made the overall experience peaceful. Wendy was really nice and provided many tips on the area and was available whenever we needed help. Will definitely come back.Food & drinks: The deli restaurant next door is really good and provides a discount and to-go alcohol for guest staying at the cabin.

I booked a room for my parents here for the 4th of July week. They got to the room and it had been cleaned with something that my mother is allergic to. She was hoarse and eyes swelling within minutes. We called and spoke with the owner of the Inn, Wendy, and she would not refund us any money whatsoever. My mother clearly could not stay even one night. I understand charging for the first night, but the remaining nights should have been refunded. If we "cancel" we can be charged even more money. We are now trying to find them a place to stay. Things we were not going to complain about, but now that they have been treated this way I will address them. The temperature of your room is controlled by Wendy. You are not allowed to let your door be open. There is no TV. If you sit outside on the porch to listen to the water, the bugs will eat you alive. I would not even give this place 1 star. Wendy needs to do better. She needs to be considerate.
