If you drink, beware, this is a dry town. Fortunately, we don't drink, lol. But if you are looking for a quiet place to stay this hotel is on the quiet side of the smokies. Can't comment on the amenities here as we did not use any of them. Only stayed one night when our plans for Gatlinburg changed last minute. Staff was friendly and very accommodating.Rooms: Our room said mountain view but couldn't really see the mountains through the trees. The room did include a fireplace but since we only stayed one night didn't use it. Bed was comfortable. New mini fridge and microwave in room.Food & drinks: Dry town. Either bring drinks with you or you will have to leave city limits once you get there.

This lodge is in the most beautiful area, Townsend is a lovely little town. It’s right in the middle of restaurants, cute coffee shops, short drive to Cades Cove, short drive to Gatlinburg and everything so scenic of course. It was very clean and we were super comfortable staying here. Check in was easy and I definitely want to stay here again the next time I’m in town!

House keeping could have been a little better. Other than that I love staying there. Been staying at this same location for many years. Will keep returning!

Great for the price. People were friendly. Nice pool, and hot tub. Breakfast consists of cereal, juice, coffee, and toast. My favorite was the raisin bread. ?

The rooms are clean, very quiet, the staff helpful and friendly, and the prices are outstanding. If I find myself in Townsend again I would gladly stay here again.Rooms: The rooms were spacious, clean, and microwaves and refrigerators were provided. The rooms are extremely quiet and well insulated and the is plenty of hot water.Walkability: There is a pedestrian and bike trail next to the property that allows for a comfortable walk to near by restaurants. Others are just a short drive.

We stayed one night. We found the staff and everyone that we had contact with very friendly and helpful. We probably should’ve mentioned it but we’re not the complaining type,. But with this opportunity, I believe I should mention to you that the room had some nasty looking bugs. One look like a very miniature and almost transparent scorpion. Others were too small to identify. After a careful search of the bed we decided to sleep tonight and leave. Probably would not consider another stay without finding out was done about the situation.

Great lodge, just what was described. Huge property, love the trail between the buildings. Perfect location close to the park and restaurants.

This place was very nice. We were pleased the location and the fact that they had a breakfast was nice. The room we stayed in had a small cook top, microwave and coffee pot. The room was clean and the setup was nice. The guy at the front desk was very nice and was very willing to help in any way. We will definitely stay here again.

Nice lodge but little outdated. Bed had a big dip in the middle. Needs to be replaced. Location was wonderful.

We absolutely LOVE staying here. The rooms are always neat and cleaned. If you need anything, the staff is always willing to help you. We love having access to the indoor pool and hot tub. The only complaint I have on it this time was that the hot tub needed to be closed to allow time for the shock to dissipate. We almost got chemical burn in our lungs from the amount of bleach when we started the jets. We loved having the king bed room. The beds are comfortable. Everything about this place just works. We will ALWAYS stay here every time we come to Townsend.

VERY dated property but mostly clean and well stocked, (considering half their housekeeping staff walked out that morning). We were in building #7, room 7201. It was a large room with a king bed. The toilet was no functioning well but my husband is a contractor so he made it work. The ice machine was down the hill at building #8 so that wasn't very convenient. The bed was comfortable. The patio doors were cloudy between the glass so we couldn't see outside. We ended up leaving at midnight to go home due to something the housekeepers sprayed in the room such as air freshener. My husband and I both developed a rash and VERY itchy skin and I had hot joints due to an allergic reaction. I know that's not their fault but just a heads up.

We stayed at the cabin which was spacious and clean ...but very outdated. All of the furnishings were at least 30 years old. The fold out couch may have been even older. There was a severe lack of end tables/night stands to put items. The bathroom is tiny, no counter space, no towel bars or hooks. The cabin has a wonderful deck which we were really looking forward to enjoying the sunset behind the Smokies. But then the brightest street/security LED light I have ever seen came on about 20 feet away from the deck. We could not spend 5 minutes on the deck after it came on. Also the main bedroom's window faced the light, I had to tape aluminum foil over the window to block it.There were signs up saying the lodge was under new management, hopefully they will be addressing these issues. A fairly small expenditure could turn the cabin into an enjoyable vacation spot.

This is the 2nd time we stayed there. This time is was not good in several ways. First, we hardly got any sleep 4 of the 5 nights we were there because of people in the upstairs room making noise, leaving the TV on all night at loud volume. To make it up, they said they'd give us a 10% discount which never happened. Secondly, we made our reservations online at a fixed rate per night, only to find out at checkout that the rates were variable by day and that they increased by the day. We were never offered any room service and only got extra TP and trash bags after having to ask. They are under new management and it's not good. We will not be staying there again. Unless they change, I would recommend not staying there.

Great location. Booked to go with my kids. Listed indoor pool so we booked so they would be entertained. The indoor pool was an ice bath. We didn’t know this until the kids jumped in it. I went to the front office and they said, oh yes, the heater is broken. Would have been nice if it had said this in the description when I was booking. The TV randomly switched channels on its own. And one person got a hot shower. The office also closed at 5 so I had to reach out to air bnb to get in touch with them. They are under new management and made sure to tell us this and to let us know they were having staffing issues and the staff they had were struggling. We were very excited for this stay and ended up very disappointed. Would definitely recommend calling before booking online to verify that everything is working. I am sure once they update it will be a beautiful place to stay.
