Amazing, above expectations!Compared to other caverns, this one is very wide and open. The largest and longest we’ve seen so far!The Big Room was HUGE! And the waterfall at the end was a very pleasant surprise. The tour was not rushed, which gave us enough time to look around, appreciate the beauty of the cavern and take pictures. Our tour guide Chase was very kind and willing to answer to all our questions. (Remember to bring cash with you for tips!)A must do if you’re in the Smoky Mountains!

Absolutely amazing spot. They are a guided tour which is actually a must, because this place is MASSIVE! you will have an amazing experience and love it! There will be a few times where u need to watch your head because it gets to about a 4 foot clearance. Well worth the $22 to enter and I don't day that lightly. You go over half a mile into the tavern, there is a double waterfall inside with crystal clear water, and pictures that are amazing. 100% worth the entrance.

I have done a lot of caves, and this is one of the best! I absolutely loved it. Our younger male guide (blondish longer hair) was so sweet and very informative while keeping the cave protected. I loved it. If you can't do stairs very well, be cautious. There are like 200 plus stairs. I did t them easily. Don't miss out! Enjoy!!!

Never would have thought that this was a great MUST DO on my list. The family owned operations is welcoming and are so nice. The gift shop and history of the area are so interesting. It's well worth the money for something so interesting and a great exercise with over 400 steps and over an hour under the ground.

The caverns are beautiful and our guide, Brandy, was informative and funny. The amount of water and active waterfall were what distinguishes this cave from others we have seen. There could be safety improvements. The railing is missing in places and too low everywhere. The steps are also narrow. In a wet cave with low ceilings, this can feel unsafe -- especially with a toddler. I'd be surprised if the railing was compliant with OSHA and other safety regulations as it did not seem sufficient.

This was a very cool cavern! It's very well lit, so bringing a flashlight is unnecessary here. The tour guide was very friendly and energetic and informative the entire time we were there. I decided to bring my two toddlers, which was a gamble that turned out well. The cavern includes a waterfall, a wishing well, and a spring running through it. The path can be a little damp and there are lots of stairs so make sure to wear good shoes.

I had a great time. Had I researched it/planned it and known what to expect.. I'm not sure I would have done it. ?? I have a lot of anxiety, and I'm a little claustrophobic. That was REALLY far down and a lot of steps through some sketchy but stable paths... Once I got to the bottom... panic set in... just how far down I was.. and I'm not in the best shape... I talked myself silently out of a panic attack... ? ? told myself people do this all the time!!!! -- BUT, I DID enjoy the tour! It was informative because the guide had a lot of information... It was amazing looking in there, and I can say "I did it!" It was very pretty!!!

This is my third trip back, 3️⃣First one in this century? The walkways are redone. (So is the admission ?️ ?)Good job on the no slip surface. It looks like part of it is even wheelchair ? accessible if you can do some of the steps. This is a huge underground tour. No worries about being claustrophobic It'd be nice if the groups were a little smaller though. ?There's a lot of people!

A great way to spend a few hours. Our guide was Joshua, he had an easy, friendly manner. Was a longer trek than expected and the tour was in a butterfly loop, so we only had a minimal double-back to the exit. The pace was brisk and I knew there wouldn't be time to do any proper photography in there so the phone had to do.Word of advice to some folks, there are quite a bit of staircases to climb and we had a few in our group that struggled. Good exercise in my opinion, but just know it's coming if you decide to go.

OMG I loved it here! I had never been to any caves before. It is a little colder down there, which was great for me! The water down there is filtered, so I had an empty water bottle and refilled there. The water was cold and good. The waterfall was alright. I loved the big room, wow! You have to go! There is so much history associated with those caves, very fascination and the staff is passionate about telling it. One of the pictures is a neat bug we found in the store LOL, I think it's called an assassin bug. One of the photos is the entrance where we being the tour. The photos don't do it justice and I refuse to upload my videos because you need to check it out for yourself.

Our tour guide was Jonah he was great! He was genuinely excited to show us the caverns and really loved his job. He made the experience even better. There are a lot of stairs and slippery paths and it's consistently 58 degrees so bring a jacket. There's lots of great views and opportunities for photos and you can even taste the spring water in the second part if you want. Would definitely recommend!

Last Sunday we visited Tuckaleechee Caverns in Townsend Tennessee. You enter and pay in a gift shop full of cool stuff. Mostly to do with the cave. Rocks, minerals, crystals, shirts, hats, glasses, toys and all manner of tourist knick knacks. Some really good fudge as well. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It's $22.00 to take the tour and that's with a guide for the whole adventure. You learn the history and numerous facts along the way. Really an interesting presentation in all area's of the cave. It is completely paved but is wet and can be a little slick in spots. I reccomend boots or gym shoes. Be able to navigat a lot of stairs and walk bent over if you are tall. The views are really incredible inside. It's a low light environment but has strategically placed lights throughout the cave. There is a river throughout the cave as well as two waterfalls. Impressive stalactites and stalagmites in every part. The great room is also very impressive. We even seen a few bats on our tour. The total darkness part of the tour is really cool. It was a great time and we had a great guide. She pointed out a lot of stuff and was deserving of a tip at the end. These are college kids and could use the generosity. Come prepared to exert yourself a little but see some incredible things. It's 56° inside so dress accordingly if you get cold. It's a great experience and well worth the price of admission. I highly recommend Tuckaleechee Caverns for a unique experience.

Great tour of beautiful caverns. Tour guide was knowledgeable and funny. Tour was leisurely and not rushed. Plenty of history and amazing photo ops. Just follow Google youraelf there as it is down a small country road nestled in a valley. Great souvenirs too!

Enjoyed a great tour! Jonah was a wonderful guide, very knowledgeable, I learned a lot about the cave facts and history from him, and he was engaging and very upbeat, made our time such a joy. Almost didn't stop at this cave but glad we did! The cave is beautiful, relaxed, beginner friendly. With my twisted ankle I managed just fine at the easy pace, some stairs but nothing I couldn't handle. Took about an hour and 20 minutes to complete. Highly recommend!!

What a fantastic amazing experience! I would highly recommend. Such a unique thing to see. The waterfall was my favourite part. Just a heads up, there are a lot of stairs. (Over 85) Wear proper footwear. Bring a jacket. It was 103 outside with humidity and only 53 degrees in the caverns. Also, the stairs are steep and uneven as is the ground (it’s a cave so expected) but if you have mobility or balance issues that’s something consider. Our guide was wonderful and knowledgeable and the fossils and dinosaur teeth on display (found in the cave) were truly amazing.
