“An amazing group of people committed to doing the right thing. Took a car there believing for sure It needed new brakes and rotors…after looking at them they gave me the keys back and said no need right now, we’ll be glad to help when it’s time. No charge…just a professional pleasant exchange that proves they put the customers interests first.”
“Locals is the only place we take our cars for service for more years than I care to count. Best service and workmanship around Boone. We have been customers since they opened their doors.
Brad, Kyle, Courtney, Brittney and their team are the best at what they do.”
“This is one of the most honest and genuine mechanic shops I've been too, both Nathan and James are very knowledgeable, and experienced especially when it comes to old Toyotas and they were great to work with. If you're considering getting your vehicle worked on here I would highly recommend it!”
“10 out of 10. I had an issue with my BMW tail
light & the mechanic fixed it in minutes! No one else could figure out the issue. The owner was also very nice! They are also very affordable!”
“I had a super easy, quick, and thorough experience with Assad’s. They were flexible and had my car done in just a few hours. Plus, I couldn’t have gotten a better price! I will 100% be back. Thanks guys!”
“If you need a trustworthy, fair priced and extremely intelligent mechanic, you have to bring your vehicle to George. My entire family brings their cars/trucks/SUV’s to him and each job is ALWAYS done quickly and he is very transparent through the process. Go see GEORGE!”
“I have been taking my Subarus there since it was Steves Auto service, many years ago. Honest and thorough with maintenance and repairs. I won't take my cars anywhere else.”
“They are the absolute best at what they do. The quality of service and level of knowledge is truly remarkable. Travis and Steve get things done and get them done right.”
“My girlfriend’s car needed work done they were super helpful, charged an incredibly fair rate, and were very quick. Best mechanic in boone and possibly NC.”
“Jason is very professional and well mannered, but most of all very honest with his diagnosis and with how much he charges for his work. All of this, hard to find now a days!”

“Leaving a review for my parents:
‘Super in every way. 10+ customer service and quality work. Courteous, efficient, and professional. We would highly recommend them and plan to use them in the future’.”
“My car broke down on campus. I walked to the shop and Todd lent me a jump box as soon as he realized it would help. It took me almost an hour to get it back, but he just smiled and nodded. Todd was a really nice fellow who got me out of a jam and didn't ask anything in return. The other fellows in the shop were really kind too.”
“I have always had a great experience with this location, even with the staff turnover. Everyone is polite and very professional. It makes spending lots of money on my vehicles a less painful 🤣”

“My car was damaged when I hit a huge deer. Modern Collision was great to work with. They made the repairs and my car is like new. Donna Issacs handled my claim. She was great to work with. She worked with my insurance provider and took care of everything. I highly recommend Modern Collision.”
“Couldn't recommend this repair shop more! Awesome customer service! Not the kinda of shop that will try to sell you a service that you don't need just to make a $.”
“Best mechanic in Boone hands down. Been in Boone over 20 years and been to other good mechanics but Jeff's is always my first choice and never ever have I had a bad experience or any issues or problems. Just quick thorough work at a fair price.”
“The owner was very helpful. The first part to the car would not fit and he took the time to look for another part and found one. Courteous, was not in a hurry. I will go back to Wards Automotive.”
“Picture this: Friday at 5pm, 3 hours from home, our car breaks down., and the tow truck can't get to us for 3 hours!!! We called Phil's service. He not only answered the phone but through a series of phone calls was able to tell my husband how to fix the transmission and get us on our way. He was kind, compassionate, and very friendly. If we lived in the area, Phil would be our mechanic. My husband said Phil walked him through it and never made him feel like a dope. Great job Phil ThanksService: Transmission”
“I only buy from this dealership, Michael Lyall, I've known for many years, and he is the only man I want to deal with, I am still driving My 1999 Toyota 4runner, I purchased from him in 1999. I told him what I wanted, and he found it. I've bought many since, but see him, he's Great.”
“Amazing dealership with great customer service. Rocky in particular helped me on Facebook initially and worked with me a bunch to get me my first car. Can’t say thank you enough to the entire team that played a part. Rocky was personable and very knowledgeable about the vehicles I wanted to inquire about. I have nothing but praise for him and the entire staff there! Will be back!”
“My car battery ? died today, and I called for 3 quotes on a new one. 2 others who will remain unnamed were in mid $175 range. I then called Napa, talked with Anthony who quoted me $142. So I immediately drove there after Bob had jumped started my dead battery. Once I arrived Lee and Bob greeted me very professionally. Then Lee proceeded to replace the old battery with new one free of charge. NOTE it was very easy to get at my battery. I strongly recommend Napa auto parts of mountain city TN!! THANKS ? AGAIN, Frank from Butler Tennesse.”

“Called to have my brakes inspected and they told to come on and they can do it today. Quick brake pad replacement and very affordable price. Recommend highly. Will use again for future repair needs.”
“I’m from Ohio, and my daughter attends college in the area. When she needed help with her vehicle, John’s Alternator took excellent care of her. They were honest, professional, and completed the work in a timely manner. As a father living several hours away, knowing my daughter was dealing with good, trustworthy people gave me tremendous peace of mind. It’s reassuring to know there are still honest establishments like John’s Alternator that genuinely care about their customers. I highly recommend them!”
“This place is amazing! I recently purchased my car and wanted a new purchase evaluation done on it to make sure everything was working properly. Specifically I wanted the hybrid battery tested to make sure it was in good condition, The guy who did it was amazing! When I came back to pick up my car he explained how he tested the battery and what the numbers and different results meant! I highly recommend this place! The worker we spoke with was very knowledgeable and kind!”
“I highly recommend Idol's Tire as they are honest and they were willing to troubleshoot and try to resolve the issue I was having. I had already tried other mechanics and really felt dismissed, but Idol's listened to my concerns, frustrations, and suggestions and ended up fixing the issue for me. The work they did was reasonable in price as well.”
“This place is fantastic! Especially George! My son is a student at App State and was driving and the car died. Very upsetting and scary. George analyzed the car and figured out the problem quickly. So thankful for this place!!!!”
