We purchased a property that came with a 500gallon buried tank and we inherited the lease, we have contacted Amerigas numerous time to purchase the tank and the response was, no we don’t do that anymore. Honestly we feel we are held hostage to pay Amerigas inflated rate when other local company’s are 30 to 40% cheaper per gallon. The tank is approaching 20 years old and you would think the deprecation value would be covered by now.I know by submitting this, it would not be used but please listen to the consumer, everyone in this area feels the same way.

Amerigas turned off the gas at my rental cabin . Had to move my guests to another cabin . Contacted the Dist manager and he said he would call me back which he did not call , Will be moving my business in January. Cost me 600 in lost revenue when I had to move guests . Was not surprised when I checked better business and amerigas has a F rating and over 5000 complaints with no response.

We were skipped this year for our gas contract & now they want to charge us almost $5/gallon for a fill. How I get their tank picked up?

Literally the worst customer service. I called 5 different times today after putting a delivery request that was supposed to be delivered today. Each time I called I got a different story. They ask if I want to get an email and confirmation email the day before. I have a call and voicemail confirming my delivery yesterday. One of the 5 literally just put me on hold for 15 and never came back on the line. This is the 5th time I've had this issue with them. Everyone I ask for a delivery, either they don't show, or tell me my delivery is still pending or one time the driver actually never showed up but adjusted our tank to 100% in the middle of winter. Just a word of advice, never place your order on the website because apparently there is a major disconnect from what your account will say and what they see on their end. I am so tempted to be totally done with this company who clearly does not value their customers and find a local, more reliable propane source. They should be ashamed of this. Another word of advice, don't get your propane from Amerigas. You will be disappointed!

I placed an order for a propane tank refill and paid in full, expecting the delivery to be the day of or the next as promised. Two days go by, we contact costumer service (took 5 phone calls to get someone to answer) and they said they would come between 10am and 4pm. And also that someone would have to be home in order to complete the delivery since a pilot light will need to be lit. Spent my entire off day waiting, still a no show. It’s been 8 days now, still no delivery. I called back to see why I paid in full 8 days ago, and it still hasn’t been delivered. Only to be told AFTER they came to our house, that there cannot be a single car in the driveway. So they just left. That would’ve been nice to know beforehand. 8 days without a stove or hot water. Also claimed we cannot get a refund even though it hasn’t been delivered. Bs. Will NEVER use them again, and will be informing every person I know that uses them, of this issue.

The driver that came out to fix the leak in my tank was wonderful. Can’t say much for the driver that filled my tank.He just filled it and put a lock on it and didn’t even tell me I had a leak!

Everything about AmeriGas is always a 5-star experience except for the fact that they don't maintain their propane tanks. Our tank is becoming an eyesore in the yard because the paint is fading/peeling and it's rusting. At one point in time, they set up an appointment to come out and repaint the tank. I understand the weather prevented that from happening, but I don't understand that we haven't heard a word from them since. Linda McTeer

Amerigas billed me for a delivery that never occurred on January 17th. I called in early February when I first became aware of the redundant billing (I had actually received a delivery on January 14th which was immediately paid in full). They acknowledged the issue, stated it was a software glitch and that they would escalate the issue to the billing department. It is now June 16th and the issue has not been remedied. I've been assured over many phone calls that this will be addressed, but the billing department hasn't had time to look at the claim. The emails I send and service requests to attend the issue are ignored. This is truly abysmal service.

They left us without propane for a week at the end of last year. Called everyday and they kept saying they would “expedite” our order. Sure.Thank god we finally got natural gas. It took 6 phone calls and 4 weeks for them to finally pick up their tank.Good luck to those who choose to use them.

We had another company repair our septic & they damaged the gas line in the process, which caused all of our propane to leak out of our tank. This was repaired on 1/2 & we had a tech come test our line & was told we can only order propane online. I prepaid for 100 lbs on 1/3 & was estimated to receive by 1/10. We did advise we were out & needed for heating out home, 7 days later, we still have zero propane & no one can give us a status of our order. Very frustrating since you have to prepay for something you don’t receive when promised. Especially when they are aware your HVAC runs only on gas & you don’t have any at all. Do not recommend.

Long story short. They don't back up what they say they are going to do. CS promises propane within 24 hours when you are completely out. It is delivered almost 48 hours later. This is after I updated my tank status on 11/19 needing propane.
