This is a magical place - whether with the kids or romance. So picturesque, going on pony walks with miniature horses , outdoor cookouts , coffee in the cool morning air Friendly animals that greet you, all kinds. Absolutely no stress , no traffic, not even traffic sounds - ride a horse, chill out and Janis will make you feel right at home to the point you don't want to leave. Very comfortable!

What a wonderful place to kick back, catch a fish, and relax! A perfect home away from home. Janice was a delight! She heads out each morning to welcome the day that you have to be there to see. Plenty of animals to pet, that would sit and wait on the porch for us each day.

Great place! The Cowboy Room was very comfortable and Janice was a fantastic hostess. Our 10 year old granddaughter loved helping with morning and evening chores (when we were there at the right times), and just loved all of the animals. And the location in the Smokies was beautiful. This was also a great central location for Dollywood, Gatlinburg & Anakeesta as well as some whitewater rafting. Could not have asked for a better week.

If you want an amazing smokey moutian experience then look no more. Janice is the nicest person ever and has a little slice of paradise. We stayed in a beautiful cabin, hiked on breath-taking trails and got to see and pet all her farm animals. It was such a peaceful kind experience and we only stayed 1 day! We will be back for a longer stay, for sure. Thank you

I never write reviews but have to after our recent stay (just left today!). Our trip here was life changing for so many reasons, but it is one that we will never forget. The value of hard work was reinforced in our kids and they loved every second of doing the farm chores (even woke up voluntarily at 6:30am to do them ??). We fell in love with all the animals, with Miss Janice, and the other family who stayed at the farm with us. We have done our fair share of traveling the world and country but this probably tops the list of best memories we will have together as a family. I am sure my kids will never forget it. God sends us where we need to be, and I’m sure He had his hand in this. It was perfect timing for us. I’m so grateful that Janice was willing to share her farm and way of life with us. Thank youuuuu!

I was looking for a cabin that had a fire pit and some water nearby. Just a walk up the driveway and there’s a fire pit, a pond you can swim in, fish in, a little boat you can float around, and picnic tables, it’s like camping and staying in a cabin with amenities all at once. Owners are really nice and it was a great getaway. There are dogs and cats and goats and pigs and animals roaming free all over. hoping to come back! A great place to sort of get off the grid!

The horses seemed tired. I was watching the first group leave as we got there. As they were walking, I seen the horses "knees" shake and looked painful for them to walk. My horse seemed to have something wrong with its mouth. When we mounted, my horse was chewing on the bridle angrily. The guide instructed me not to pull on the reigns, but my horse kept getting to close to my daughters horse in front of me and making my daughters horse kick mine. I had no choice but to pull on the reigns a bit. The guide did say they have days off. But from what I've seen, they seemed tired and in pain. Their manes were full of tangles and burs. The trail was beautiful.

Janice and Marcus do such a good job of everything. They really care about making the experience the best it can be. The only thing they might want to improve is cell phone reception with a good WiFi signal.Chuck

My family and I stayed here for an evening on our way to the Smoky Mountains for a fall getaway. We were immediately welcomed by everyone, most especially Janice. We just loved all of the animals and property. Our daughter rides horses and our son loves to fish. It was a win for everyone! We helped with evening and morning feedings of all the animals and thoroughly enjoyed it. Janice and her crew take such good care of all the animals and it shows. We stayed at the lodge and it was very comfortable and clean and enjoyed our delicious breakfast. We absolutely hope to be back! Thanks Janice for being so welcoming to us.Rileys from Ohio

Twin Valley is a full on ranch experience in the best of ways. We enjoyed 2 nights at the Lodge Bed and Breakfast and a full day of riding horses on the trails. Janice is incredibly welcoming and trusts her guests with helping feed the horses, rabbits, chickens and other animals. You can even take the mini horses for a walk whenever!I was also amazing by the homemade breakfast each morning. So much variety and I ate more than enough! And different each time. With a full day ride, a lunch is provided by Janice and it was excellent. Again, lots of variety and we really enjoyed it.Staying at Twin Valley makes you feel like you can live the horse ranch life. Janice welcomes all questions about horses for learning how to care for horses and let's you care for them as well.Stating at Twin Valley and riding horses is an experience I wish everyone could have. Leave the craziness of the world and live a simple life on the ranch.

Janice runs a GREAT B&B! The ranch is filled with all kinds of animals running around! The horses and the rest of the live stock are very well taken care of. Janice and her staff are amazing to deal with! You should really give them a look if you need to a great getaway! Also be sure to go Horseback riding. Marcus is an amazing guide!

This was the favorite family vacation of our lives so far (and it had some pretty stiff competition!)! Jan and Marcus are so incredibly welcoming and kind, and they help build confidence in kiddos and adults alike with animal care, horseback riding, and farm "freedom!" The horses, pigs, goats, ranch dogs, rabbits, etc. are all "living their best life" - healthy and used to people and so well cared for! And oh those kittens! Is there anything sweeter than a trio of fearless little barn kittens bouncing along behind you as you walk back and forth between the barn and the cottage? My kids and the neighboring family certainly didn't think so!I highly recommend participating in sunrise and evening chores (there's as much work as you'd like to volunteer for, but Jan and Marcus guide you every step of the way.), riding in the back of the truck with Indigo and Ranger (pups) and cheering the Cowgirl song as loud as you can! We've been home 8 months, and my kids (3yo and 7yo) still chant the cheer every so often...but they beg to go back about once a week. :-) From a myriad of unique trail rides (with tons of local history and flora education offered along the way), to creek stomping or walking a mini horse on a lead through the trails, there are countless ways to pass the hours in a wonderful, mindful, memory-building way!! Painting with Indian Stones we found in the creek (including painting our faces and Jan letting us paint hers) during a snack break on the ride is perhaps my favorite memory. And a very special photo. And fireflies lighting our way "home" after evening chores... ahhh!!! I'm relaxing thinking about it.Plan to bring your meals with you - and quick dinners since you'll be bone-tired - for us that meant frozen dinners, hot dogs/sandwiches, snacks and tons of gatorade/water (that farm work makes you thirsty!). I hear the breakfast for guests in the lodge is AMAZING! The Cowboy cottage was incredibly spacious and comfortable for our family of four, great hot water, and a fully stocked kitchen. I admit I did a quick "re-clean" in the tub since Jan was so very busy the day we arrived, but that was honestly just because I'm typically kind of a luxury/snobby traveler. :-) Everything else was perfect and felt like a rustic home away from home we can’t wait to return to.You’re only 20 minutes from Tuckaleechee Caverns (HIGHLY recommended!) and less than an hour from Gatlinburg. Easy day trip into the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, and closer still to some “river fun” in the Little Pigeon River nearby. It was such a special 3-night vacation... my kids and I cried when we left because it felt like we were leaving family behind in Jan and Marcus (or was it the kittens??) :-)

Excellent experience in an amazing nature environment. My 3 grandchildren, ages from 7 to.9, enjoyed the interaction with the animals, pigs, horses, goats, donkeys, dogs, cats.My grandchildren obtained information and classes on how to handle horses and also riding the horses as a great reward.

my boyfriend and i went here for a trail ride and it was definitely the best trail riding experience i've ever had. it was a little bit more expensive than the typical ride but it was definitely worth it because it's such a long ride and you actually get to take care of your horse and learn some riding basics. the woman who owns the ranch is very kind and welcoming, and had lots of great stories to tell. she let us walk around the property and see all of her animals and it was just an overall great experience. i would definitely recommend going here if you're in the area and looking for a good trail ride adventure

Loved the horse back riding, helping to feed the animals and care for them. The whole experience was top notch.
