Always had great experiences in the past. NOT THIS TIME !!
Went in for a new prescription, as in the past (many times) and the new right lens was way out of focus at a distance. Now, the last pair they prescribed was spot on. I had some scratches I couldn't live with so I wanted a new pair of lenses.
They had me check with the lab and the lenses matched their "incorrect" prescription to "T". I have had plenty of eye exams and never had an issue until now.
Dr. Preston said, in essence , Tough luck, it is what it is and the practice is not going to take any responsibility and never has in the past. Wow!, how arrogant and presumptuous.
He is retiring and on the way out and possibly doesn't "Give a damn" to quote Rhett Butler.
It really took me back as I have been a client of theirs for a long time and had them do cataract surgeries in the past and recommended them to numerous people.
NOT anymore. I will gather up my records and head somewhere else. Very disappointed in their attitude.

Excellent staff. Very friendly. Dr. Clark was very professional and was thorough with her explanations and answered all the important questions. I highly recommend this business.

Highly recommend!!!! Excellent people and very easy to work with. Had a small piece of rust in my eye, they got me in quickly. So great to wake up with no more issues thanks for all you guys do!!!

3 months after my surgeries and I still have problems daily. The surgical doctor only will see you one time after the surgery. every week you go back and see an assistant, and they all told me something different. If you go there I hope you don't have problems, because they don't seem to have time to figure out what is wrong. They just tell me it's dry eyes and use your drops. My vision is not that good at times and I can no longer see very good at night. It was a rush job and not much support afterwards. It's really aggravating to drive for 2.5 hours and get 3 minutes time from an assistant you have never seen before. Very discouraged at this time.

My dad had really bad cataracts to the point he thought was loosing his eye sight the doctor was amazing and staff as well

My experience AEI was wonderful. Had cataracts in both eyes the right one being worse. Dr.Phelan and staff was very outstanding and polite. Explain all through the surgery what he was doing. Staff was very concerned with me and my issues. Awesome people. I’m 59 years old and see better now than I have in 15 years

Dr. Mc Adams saved my eyes he operated on me the same day as I was referred to them the day before the Fourth of July and then operated on the other eye on the 5th he never stopped until he was able to save my eye sight he also sent me to a professional retina doctor they teamed up and saved my eye sight. I had glaucoma, hematoma hemorrhage, retina Vein Occlusion. Quite a feet for any doctor. Dr Mc Adams is the best !!!

I used to go to Abilene Eye Institute but had to be sent to Dr Patel. After he corrected my problems he told me to go back to Abilene Eye Institute to my regular dr that I was seeing . Which was Dr McAdams! When I called for appt I told the person that made appointments and she was very rude to me and told me”you can’t pick and choose who you see. I told her Dr Patel told me go back to my dr at Abilene eye institute. When I finally got her to make me an appointment to see McAdams I went for my appointment and she ran to McAdams and I don’t know what she told him but they were both laughing ! I had gone to this facility for many years BUT after that happened I never went back. I love Dr Phelan, Dr Preston and Dr zThames but never liked her or McAdams. That was all uncalled for! I still have the same problems but I found a very knowledgeable and sweet Dr and I would never go back to Abilene Eye Institute

Excellent Customer Service from front desk all the way to Dr. Phelan! Worth the drive to have him as my 86 yr old mother's Primary Eye Dr. Highly recommend this place.

Professional staff and very thorough services. Dr Hacopian was fantastic. Explained the diagnosis and surgery in-depth. Follow-up visits were kept on-time and examinations very thorough. I highly recommend them for your eye care issues..

Dr Mcadams is excellent. Great customer service snd you can tell he truly cares for your well being. All the rest of the crew are friendly and professional. My wife and I both had lasik and should have done this years ago. Dr Mcadams even goes in on Saturdays to follow up with his patients. I highly recommend using him and this location instead of going to a metroplex. The standard of care and technology is more than sufficient. Thank you again for helping and caring!!

Our daughter had intense eye pain that our pediatrician couldn't diagnose so he referred us to AEI. It was 4 o'clock on a Friday and Dr. McAdams agreed to see us. We were in and out with a diagnosis, medicated drops, a prescription, and instructions to see him again on a Saturday morning to make sure she was healing all in about 15 minutes. The staff and doctor were kind and helped put us at ease with a scary diagnosis. Very thankful we found them.

Unbelievably disorganized office! When I arrived at my first appointment, I was "not on the schedule but worked in". At a follow up appointment, with 3 text reminders that I confirmed, I arrived and "was not on the schedule" again. The same thing happened to the person in front of me. If you have a lot of time to waste, this would be the place to go!

This is the best place to get your cataract surgery. I could never be more happy with my eyesight. He went in and fixed and repaired both my eyes now I'd need no glasses no readers no nothing. Thank you so much for all the work that y'all have done. Outstanding

Dr. McAdams and staff were skilled, thorough, and personable. I had a tricky cataract situation, and it all went without a hitch. State of the art equipment.
