So, I have four kids. I got a gym membership a year ago so twice a week I can come and hop on a machine and watch my “Dawson’s Creek” and “Roswell” and other early aughts teen drama nonsense uninterrupted for forty minutes. It is an arrangement that works quite well.
All the staff has been fantastic. Allyson lights up a morning like it’s not 6 am, Hope has the best taste in music, and the big guy whose name I haven’t caught (Michael, maybe?) is the height of professionalism and welcome. The team somehow makes coming to a cold building first thing in the morning, surrounded by a bunch of sweaty strangers an appealing prospect. That’s talent.
For the important stuff: they keep a clean establishment, it’s never too busy, staff is friendly and helpful. Price is totally decent, machines stay in safe and working order, they resolve issues quickly and efficiently, and you never have to wait long for anything because there are enough for sharing. Good gym.

There's no water at all for washing hands or flushing the toilet! Boooo.

Very old gym, just a few machines broken, not busy at 2:00 p.m. on a Wednesday. Men's bathroom smells horrible, definitely needs a deep cleaning and trash is overflowing. Women's needs cleaning also.
Parking is RV and 18-wheeler friendly, no shade, plenty of parking. Might be a little busy in the late afternoon when people get off work.
All of the mirrors In the workout area look like they have never been cleaned, they all have a film of dirt on them, you could wipe it off with your fingers. If they are cleaning it, They're not using any quality glass cleaner and paper towels.
One member is walking around now Cleaning which is a good sign. This appears to be one of the gym's that has not gotten the remodel. There is one one big fan on the ceiling to cool the place off but they definitely need to turn the AC on as this place is very humid inside And there's only about 20 people in here, I can only imagine what it's like when it's busy, probably very miserable with the humidity. The water fountain does not put out cold water although it has power to it. Puts out lukewarm water which is horrible.
For the price you can't beat it.

The staff was friendly and helpful the gym is actually bigger than the one I normally attend and have a few more machines then the one I normally attend does the music that was played was not to my liking and it was so loud... outside of that I had a great workout

Overall, I’m satisfied with the gym and the equipment provided. However, one concern I have is the number of individuals who spend extended periods sitting on machines while using their phones. This tends to disrupt the workout flow for others who are waiting to use the equipment. I believe encouraging more mindful use of the machines could significantly improve the experience for all members.

Again, another Planet Fitness that should be the standard for all other Planet Fitness clubs. The Matrix gym equipment, the cleanliness, and the overall professionalism of the staff should be mandated to all Planet Fitness locations.

Not for sure that they clean their showers.. I used the same showers 2 days apart, and the floor was just as dirty as it was a few days earlier..

I had plans to work out here but after seeing what the surrounding area consists of and looks like, I decided to keep driving towards Dallas and look for one there. The surrounding businesses. The surrounding housing. The types of people lurking about. It all screams dirty and unsafe. Even in the daytime.
