The horribly stressed and aggressive owner by the name of Victor began banging and accusing my fiancé and three sleeping children of no payment so we must leave. We then informed him we already extended, he still acted extremely dismissive as if he couldn’t understand what my fiancé was calmly saying from my understanding the man could hardly speak any English. Turns out he hadn’t spoken to the front desk receptionist. I’m not sure if it’s due to not having enough money for staff but, accusing customers of trying to forcefully stay in a room without payment sounds a bit ridiculous. Thenn the thin woman with multiple face piercings operating the lobby irrelevantly began mimicking my respectful/calm statements and suggestions to better conduct the unheard of method the business currently operates. I asked her name & she had questioned “why” I informed her I would be leaving a review so, her and victor proceeded to say “no.” There was simply not enough communication between the owner and the front desk receptionist but, this could’ve been handled in a smoother manner. This hotel has an extremely dysfunctional nature. Disgusting bathroom ( I feel sympathy for this man as we were told he’s the only housekeeper available to clean all rooms at this location in an hour & a half daily, he also happened to be the only staff who apologized for the miscommunication later into the afternoon)

This motel just decided today jan 31st 2024, to start charging 250.00 incidental fee out of nowhere. So I book a room online not knowing anything about this 250.00 basically I've spent 328.00 to stay here 1 night because unless you pay cash it takes 3-5 days for your money to come back to you.. ive stayed here many times never a problem.. now management had a problem with a guest here and has decided to take it out on all the other guests with his new found fee.. very disappointing. This is not how you treat people that come back to your business

This is my first time leaving a bad review. This hotel was horrible. Once you book your room they tell you that each dog you have is $45 each, the most I have paid for a dog is $20. We get in our room around 11:00pm exhausted and the sheets had hair on them, the shower had hair and open soap wrapper, the toilet was not clean. We go to take a shower the next morning and the shower head was broken and sprayed all over the bathroom. When I told them how dirty the room was they said the maids were underpaid. Then I pour coffee and they are out of regular sugar. I will never stay there again.

This was actually a nice, clean place. It’s one of the lowest priced hotels in this area so I wasn’t expecting much and definitely not breakfast. Not only did they have breakfast but it was good. The rooms were clean and seemed to be recently updated. It’s an exterior entry hotel so if you’re expecting the Taj Mahal, you’ll be disappointed, but it definitely rivals the nearby interior entry hotels that cost 50 - 100% more per night. I’ve consistently found Choice Hotels to deliver great bang for the buck.

Wouldn't give us a receipt apon check out. Was having a private conversation with my spouse about it. The night clerk interjected herself into the conversation and took it as far as challenging my spouse to step outside. Very ghetto.

What West Texas town serves sausage gravy from a can? At least don't open in front of customers. Seemed nice at first but had mold growing around tub. Try cleaning up. Was not offered down stairs room because they were full. Parking lot was hardly full. Hard to believe.

Typically Quality Inn & Suites has there stuff together. Unfortunately I think they left a new hire to run solo. He was trying extremely hard, but it was busy.

Drove to Abilene from South Carolina for the funeral of a friends wife who was being laid to rest in nearby Albany. He was staying at the Quality Inn with others attending, so it was convenient.The room was better than I expected from the reviews...pretty clean, well serviced, plenty of towels, etc. It was noisy, but that is due to proximity to the Interstate. But the young person on the front desk was the rudest person I have experienced in a long time. She did not honor the price quoted...increased it 50% (as she did for another guest), initially assigned me a room that had someone already in it, then gave be plenty of attitude about having to change to another room because I was upset at opening my room to see other people in it( I was very tired...I just traveled 1180 miles straight).I could go on but his place isn't worth it. There are plenty of options right in that area...stay at one of them...you can't do worse.

I stayed for one night and I can honestly say the first part of my stay wasn't bad. This stay was day 2 of 4 of me traveling across the U.S. I woke early in the morning to find a roach in the shower, I proceeded to kill it, and move on because I needed to hit the road. I started the shower and the water started to fill up the tub even though the drain was open. That was all I could take, at that point I just had to hit the road without being able to clean myself.Now just think, if the room was actually cleaned, the water not draining is something that would have been noticed.I spoke with a young lady at the front desk who I sent photos and video I had taken, and she shared my thoughts on how nasty it was. She took my information and told me I should expect a call from the manager, a call that never came.I called back a few days later once I reached my final destination, and was once again told I would receive a call back from the manager. Another call that never came.In general, I am not the type of person to make complaints or reviews, but I am extremely upset about the quality of customer service/cleanliness of Quality Inn's Abilene TX (1758 E. Overland Trail) location.I do have the photos and video, which for some reason I can't upload for your viewing pleasure.

Good location, heading into Abilene, coming from the east,, but not in downtown. Dinning,and or fast food with in walking distance, nice?clean simple room, a/c, fridge, microwave all in working order, safe area, 5: minutes from where I needed to be next morning, middle of the road on cost, could have been a few bucks cheaper I thought.all in all, good nites stay.Rooms: Simple, everything worked,cleanSafety: Off of main road, not in the downtown areaWalkability: Fast and or sit down dinning available

Absolutely one of the best Hotels I’ve stayed at in a while. Extremely clean, smelled nice and the beds were so comfortable. One of the nicest gentlemen ever behind the counter. Would stay here again if in Abilene.

Rooms are nice but not 125.00 nice. Get to the room went to eat and the door lock was jamming on the door when I got back it had latched and I couldn't get inside. Went to the desk clerk was kind of rude about it. Like it was my fault. How do I lock a door jam from the outside?? He couldn't get it open had to call and wait on maintenance. Finally got it open and he changed the jam it was catching at the bottom even when inside..... now I just lay down and the fire alarm battery starts beeping. Called him again. He didn't have a clue. Asked me what size batteries it needs. I told him I don't know it's not my fire alarm. Still waiting on batteries. If this thing keeps me up all night I won't be happy . Front desk needs to learn better customer service.
