We booked an appointment for a kids cut for my son at this location and when we arrived we got paired with a lady who off the bat hesitated to take my son because of the type of cut we asked for, a low fade or all around taper, whatever you want to call it.
I assured her we take our son to our local floyds in Frisco all the time since he's 2 1/2 and get the same cut without issues, we didn't this time because we were not going to be in that area anytime soon.
I usually stand close by during the cut to make sure he's listening to the person cutting his hair.
Mid hair cut the stylist clipped my son's ear and didn't mention it even though she had seen it first. We only noticed because his ear started bleeding and it wasn't a bit of blood, it was dripping. I was flabbergasted, he didn't flinch or cry about it that's how calm he is about his cuts. She started patting the injury with a rag and then placed barber powder on it. The cut didn't stop bleeding and we had to get a first aid kit we keep on our car in order to properly give him the care we knew he needed. As a father and as a paying client this is not what I expect of Floyd's long standing quality of service.
At this point she didn't even want us to cure him on the spot and instead insisted on trying to put the damn powder and patting him with that rag. I proceeded to the counter to pay and get out while my wife stayed next to our son. The receptionist said we got a specialty cut $34 instead of a regular kids cut $27.
For a half done cut plus my son injured ? I let her know of the situation and they said the MANAGER said it would be comped. We had to drive our son to the an urgent care because the cut didn't stop bleeding even after 30 mins from the incident. They cured him and there is clearly a clipped spot in his ear now, will it regrow, maybe. But we are definitely not coming back to this location.
I say this with all the calm in my soul, if you don't feel comfortable doing a kids cut or you don't have the experience to do so, don't do it. I will keep going to Floyd's but not at this location at all, we will stay loyal to our location and our usual barber.

Just needed a basic no frills haircut and they did it well with only a 5 wait before hand and a 15 min cut and clean up time

I feel like if you can’t do a cut, don’t accept bookings. Simple. I scheduled my son’s back-to-school haircut, showed up on time, and we were turned away because they “wouldn’t have time.” Funny how that’s not mentioned when you’re taking appointments.
As a licensed specialist myself, I know what it means to respect a client’s time. If I have an AVAILABLE slot, I honor it. Even if it’s the last one of the day. That’s called professionalism. What’s the point of offering bookings if you’re just going to cherry-pick who you feel like working on?
The service here has tanked over the years. Overrated, unprofessional, and not worth the gas it took to get there. I won’t be back, and I’ll make sure everyone I know saves themselves the trouble. Honestly, I’ve had warmer welcomes and better cuts from a bored stylist at chain salons inside grocery stores… and they didn’t act like they were doing me a favor by showing up to work.

I booked a detailed beard trim and a haircut for my sweetheart's birthday, and a shampoo and haircut and for my new job. We arrived a half hour early and I gave them the names and services for our two separate reservations. While the beard trim occurred right away, it was rough with no shape or neatening. An hour later, neither cut was started. We asked how much longer the wait would be, since we had plans across town, and learned the gent at the door disregarded half of what I said and found just one of our reservations. Two rushed cuts, no shampoo, and an unkempt beard later, I don't think we'll be returning to this location. The cuts are great, but the service and attention to detail is severely lacking.

Awesome service, great cut, fair price... James N. not only saved my hair from the chop job I previously had but worked with me to get a custom style that I love based on a couple of pictures and an overall idea, modern take on a classic side part, scissor cut. Also helpful with tips and tricks for styling. Pricing is so much cheaper than other places out there that I don't feel strapped giving the tip that they deserve.

Absolutely LOVE this place! I took my son here for kids cut and they’ve been so nice and sweet every time we go. We used to go to another barbershop and they were so impatient and rough when it comes to kids cut and my son hated the haircut. But ever since we came here, they were so nice and gentle with kids. We had Michael to cut his hair the first time and again today. Everything was so smooth and fast and perfect! The second time we came here it was an Asian lady did his hair and she was also the sweetest person ever!! I wish I knew her name. Definitely recommend this place if you have a little kid! Not to mention their affordable price!!!
