Very disappointed. They were acquired by Centennial Bank and it’s no longer the same bank. They also got breached so customer information is being used by hackers.

Happy State Bank has been my bank for over 25years when my daughters school started them off with savings accounts. The name says it all, they are always HAPPY to help and Sherri Dakin is a TREASURE and always knows how to help or she finds the answer with a solution in a very timely manner.I have been at the bank and another customer was there as well and we both concurred that we loved HAPPY STATE BANK, and request they NEVER change the name HAPPY STATE BANK makes us HAPPY to do business, we truly feel that way and want to say THANK YOU TO HAPPY STATE BANK AND BIG SHOUT TO SHERRI DAKIN, For coming to work every day joyful and ready for excellence with every customer!? I am a customer of Happy State Bank. On Friday, January 26, 2024, I was unable despite more than an hour working on my own to traverse Centennial Bank’s login procedures for access to my HSB archived statements. As that Friday afternoon seemed speeding to the bank’s 5:00 p.m. end of the week, I sought online help. Sherri Dakin of the HSB branch rode to my rescue. Not only did she respond to my plea with a personal call, but she stayed on the phone patiently leading me through what I had found a cumbersome process unlike the user-friendly online site of HSB prior to Centennial’s takeover. Despite her adroit customer facilitation skills, this customer was slow to follow. Even though the 5:00 p.m. closing time came and went and traffic congestion built to usual Friday strangling proportions nearby the bank, Sherri showed no impatience with my progress. Ultimately, she got ‘er done, I found and copied the information needed, and, I want to emphasize, felt a great sense of relief.On account of kind, knowledgeable, and patient Sherri, I’m giving Centennial another chance. Customer service is as simple as Maya Angelou explained with respect to human relations in general: “People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel”.The bank and I both thank you, Sherri, for your generous gift of time and capacity, as well as for your example of excellence in the workplace.

A supposed Manager Josie H resumes to provide even the basic requirements for transferring an account. She claimed it was for “security purposes”.What kind of security purposes do not let you say “we need you to come in with a copy of the articles of incorporation, DL, and board minutes establishing an account” or some such.Seriously if this doesn’t s the level of incompetence that management has, then I will happily recommend other banks.
