What an excellent facility! My husband had neck surgery here on Dec. 30. Everyone here has been wonderful, from the waiting room liaison to the pre-op staff to the floor nurses and techs. They take time to explain things well, and they include you in the decisions about your treatment. The suites/rooms are large, and the floor is quiet—no hearing conversations in the next room. Highly recommend this location!

Everyone from the surgical staff all the way to every single person I came in contact with after that, absolutely love every single
One of them!! The entire staff seems amazing, and the pre op floor has the most wonderful Christmas decorations! Never seen a hospital so cheerful! Made my initial encounter more relaxing and was just a great beginning to my stay here!

I had lower back spinal fusion surgery in July 2024. Methodist Hospital in Addison is by far the best hospital I have ever experienced! The doctors, nurses, lab, and all the staff are excellent! I received wonderful and attentive care during my hospital stay. There is definitely TEAM work at Methodist Hospital in Addison. The administrative departments are always willing to help as well. Thank you for a wonderful experience during my hospital stay.

First time staying overnight in a hospital this was for four nights... slightly terrifying for a newbie. The level of care empathy compassion and kindness delivered by all the teams goes beyond anything I possibly could've imagined.
It is definitely true you don't get much rest in a hospital but that is just the nature of the beast.
While there are so many people I should call out I honestly can't remember most of their names. But there is one angel in particular that I will always be thankful and grateful for...Noemi Valesco. This sweet woman took the time to truly see me as a person and talk to me as a human not as a patient. She knew I was headed down a rough road and in terrible pain but she stopped to ask if she could pray with me and that exemplifies who she is. Thank you Noemi you will always hold a special place in my heart and I will see you again someday. Muchas gracias!

Far from it.

Having experienced multiple surgeries in the last year for myself and my immediate family at hospitals in Houston, Waco and now Addison, I believe that I have a much greater than average experience to give a fair review of Methodist Hospital for Surgery in Addison.
I had my pre-op visit/testing a few days before my surgery. I was in and out in less than 45 minutes. At all times I had a hospital representative with me explaining everything and checking to see if I had any questions or concerns.
Concerning my surgery, my family was very concerned about my having a family member be with me to advocate for me during the times that I would be mentally and physically incapacitated. Based on past experiences at every other hospital we have ever had to do business with, this seemed to be a very real and legitimate concern. However, during my entire operation and stay, I never needed my own family member to advocate for me at any time.
I could write pages of details how that every single person that I had contact with, from the front desk gentleman to the very sweet lady that pushed me to my ride in a wheelchair, treated me like I was their family member.
I am at a loss for how to sufficiently give the praise that the entire staff at this hospital deserve.
What perplexes me the most is how this hospital has actually achieved, across every level and department of my interactions, absolute conformity to not only the highest level of competent care, but they have done so with every staff member having a genuine kindness, care, concern, smile, nice word, etc.
Maybe a very simple illustration might convey what I am struggling to say.
During my visit, my throat was very irritated and I could barely swallow. I needed ice very often. If housekeeping was in my room, they would go get me ice immediately. If it was the Chief Nursing Officer, she would get the ice. If it was the lady taking vitals, she would get the ice. Everyone would go get the ice. NOT ONE PERSON ever said, “Let me get your nurse. That’s not my job.” No one rolled their eyes or forgot about me. They got the ice every time, smiled and genuinely asked if there was anything else.
Years ago, I heard the saying “Success or failure rises or falls on leadership.” I believe whole heartedly that this is accurate.
I did request to let the hospital admin know how amazing my experience there had been. President Trey Klawiter, Director Mary Anne Smith of ICU/Inpatient Surgery and Chief Nursing Officer Patti Griffith did stop by my room. I truthfully did not expect them to do so as I am just an average person and cannot do anything for them. As I went through the list of names that I could remember (PT Susan, RN’s Catherine and Kelsey) and the ways that their great care and competency had positively affected me, I also did tell President Trey Klawiter how that I had asked a handful of staff how they liked working at this hospital. To the person, every single one stated that they loved their job. I then told Trey that I believed he had done an amazing job of hiring the perfect staff. He immediately deferred the credit to those below him. This only reconfirmed what a true leader he was.
Methodist Hospital for Surgery in Addison is amazing, top to bottom. You will not find better in any category from competency, personal care and concern or to how clean the parking lot is. They are the platinum standard.

I just got released from being here for 5 days. This has been one of my BEST experiences ever in hospital care.
The nurses, the nutritionist lady & gentleman were awesome! Everyone treats you with respect and most of all kindness. Being with so much pain has made my stay so pleasant!
Thank you everyone!
Kim, Jenny, Thomas, Kat (I forgot everyone else's name) but you all were the best

The nurses were great, After the care I have tried to get medical records and have been promised 3 times they would be sent for my insurance policy. It's been four months and I still have not received them. I know my address is correct, they get me the bills here.

Outstanding consistent care & service end-to-end. I was here for an ACDF surgery with overnight recovery. The process of checking in to getting into surgery went quickly. I quickly became a Roll-Tide fan of the day with Eddie, to Candice who did well getting me prepped with IV's easily prior to surgery.
After surgery I believe I had both nurses Paula & Jesia who were wonderful both night time and daytime. They were always on-time with pain med management, and expressed a genuine care for ensuring my recovery went well while under their care. Any questions or connections I needed they explained clearly next steps. The nurses even took the time to offer my wife a pillow or blanket while she waited in the room with me.
The dining team and their food is fantastic as well. Lots of nutritious options that went down easy with a sore throat after surgery.
Consistently excellent bedside care and service end-to-end, this is a very clean and well operated hospital.
Grateful to be home recovering well - thank you!

I just had a 360 complicated spinal surgery. From the moment we walked in the front door we were met with the most amazing and caring staff. From the security guards, admission staff, the housekeeping, the nurses, anesthesia, physical therapist and even just other patients and their visitors. Everyone was so nice and caring and willing to help in any way needed. This hospital/surgical center will definitely be recommended. Highly satisfied and impeccable job from every employee!I can honestly say, I enjoyed my hospital stay!

I had an acute pinched nerve in my back preventing me from standing, walking, and sleeping. Dr Jeremy Denning is my wonderful neurosurgeon and advised me to go to Methodist Surgical Hospital in Addison. From the moment we walked in to the ER to the moment we were discharged the following day, we experienced the most amazing care with the most wonderful staff. Victor and Dr Campbell took great care of me in the ER, Sarah in CT was amazing, our nurses Vivian, David, Brandon, and Camille were incredible as well. Dr Ghermay, Uzo, Clinton, and their staff did an excellent job with my spinal injections. Everyone was so caring, competent, and a pleasure to deal with. We drove over an hour to come here and it was worth the drive in so many ways. Kudos to the administration, you are doing everything right and should be proud of your stellar staff.

My wife had a procedure performed here recently. The service from end to end was impeccable. The staff were attentive and helpful through the entire process. I couldn't imagine better treatment anywhere else. The facility extended support for family to stay over, a kitchenette, and dietary items at your fingertips. The onsite convince store and grill were excellent. Food was comparable with a fancy restaurant. We can't say enough about the army of post op care personnel. Our compliments to the entire facility. Thank you!!!!!
