I understand employees need to take breaks but I really wish the employees who smoke wouldn't stand in the doorway while they do it. I don't like walking through cigarette smoke when I walk in or having to smell it the entire time I am waiting in the checkout line. The produce at this location is discusting. I asked the cashier to have it removed from the shelves, we will see if its removed. The last 3 times I have come here, the employee with long grey hair was standing in the doorway smoking. Not everyone wants to smell that. I was a smoker for 13 years. If I wanted to breathe it in or smell like smoke I would still be doing it. Please have them smoke on the side of the building, in their car, or the back door by the truck loading area.

This particular Dollar General is in disarray. Employees are non existent though friendly when you find one. This is an issue when using the self check out, which is often the only check out open.

Jessica.. do not yell at customers and try to belittle them because they clicked your bell so you would actually pay attention to your job and customer. I’m sorry you hate your job but what you did today and what you said to a woman who was simply trying to get service because a line of people were just waiting in your dirty store- was unprofessional and just rude. She was trying to help you out by letting you know you needed to do your job. One of the reasons I hate going to this unorganized, dirty store.

I went in and use the self check out I put in 40 dollars the machine said I owe 7 dollars when I told the store manager that I put in 40 she was like no you didn’t cause it says you only put in 20 I told her yes I did then she started arguing with me I used to work there but no anymore because she was lazy she would not give me hours she would always get mad at something or someone

Jessica- if you truly hate your job that much where you have to snap at someone for hitting a bell- which says "ring me for help" .. then just quit. Do not yell at someone when there's a line of 5 people and you are not paying attention or doing your job.

Horrendous is the best way to sum up this particular store. The management is non existent and what mangled mess of the employee pecking order is absolutely clueless and lazy.There is a bell front and center at the one and only person employed cash register because no one is ever up there. They are in the back, taking a nap and playing on their cell phones. I have basically seen this numerous times. This story is basically ran by the customer you come in you get your product you go to the self check out if you have any issues. Oh well, you’re on your own absolutely horrible. I will not return to this Aledo store

One of the biggest stores I've seen. Everything from $1 candy to baby diapers. Have grocery, dairy, produce and frozen foods! Store is over stocked big time. Freight isn't organized to where you could get stuff off the floor so it's shopable.Only one employee, that i seen.All and all I give it a 4 out of 5

I have been here so many times and it’s always the same, the employees are so unpleasant. I feel like this store hired people who are the complete opposite of a people person. Please know it isn’t just one employee it’s every single one of them. They are never at the register and when you ring that bell they are so put out, they’ve made noises before like “ughhh” or even told me “you can use self checkout” then the look they give me when I say I need cigarettes and then the “ughhh” noise again. This store is dirty and gloomy. I wish I never had to shop here ever again but it’s the closest store to my house with the worst employees I’ve ever experienced. If I could give this store minus five stars I would. Whoever does the hiring at this store please hire happy people. I could see if someone is having a bad day but this is every time. Unfortunately I’m in this store at least three times a week and my husband hates this store and goes here too. A bunch of grumpy people who don’t want to check people out.

I'm not sure who the cashier is .. but I just left today, I felt kind of off... I guess because my card was declining some internet issue with my phone.. I used cash and she made sure all the bills were real..keep in mind they were dollars and 2 fives I think... Felt off.. didn't like her service...
