The physical therapist that I saw here was very knowledgeable, but you have to ask questions to get information. The front desk was friendly enough and helpful. The place is clean and seems well equipped. However, the supervision here is poor. By my second visit here I was asked if I remembered an exercise and then the PT or tech usually walked away without watching me at all to make sure that I was doing the exercise correctly. The therapists often stood around the desk in the middle of the room charting or chatting without watching patients. This kind of therapy does not qualify as skilled service in my opinion. My friend who went here recently, after knee surgery, fell and hurt herself during a visit. She believes this was because of a lack of adequate supervision.I was glad I quit, because they billed my insurance $1500. During the visits I laid on a heating pad for 10 minutes and was put through a dozen or so exercises. Obviously the therapy was not covered by the insurance at that rate, but I was still shocked. The reimbursement rate was still double what most places get and I learned that they can bill at this rate, because they are charging hospital rates.

I visited Allen Therapy Center around a month back and their therapist are good. Reason I am giving them 1 star is, due to a billing issue. They filed a claim to my insurance company and used therapist name instead of using their company name which put my claim outside of the network. Now I owe them $1000 for single visit. I tried to reach out to their management company, my insurance company tried but no response. I spoke with Allen Therapy center people and they told me they also reached out to them and no response. I need to schedule more visits to get therapy and can't do that as I am not sure how they are gone file future claims and I might end up getting thousands of dollar bill with no one to work with. I would suggest if you are using this center or any center who are under their management, please get in written how much you need to pay to avoid any such implication.

Allen Therapy Center is a very professional physical therapy clinic. I had total knee replacement therapy done at ATC. They set a very clear goal from the beginning and did everything necessary to achieve it. I achieved my goal within the timeframe. I recommend them.

Marc was very friendly, informative and helpful with my shoulder issues as was the staff.Going to PT is similar in my mind as going to the dentist but Marc made the experience at times even enjoyable. Do not see any shoulder surgery in my future. Thanks Mr.Marc.

Sign on the door states masks are required, however the ladies at the reception desk were not wearing masks correctly (below their nose). One lady pulled her mask down to hack & cough and didn't bother to cover her mouth. I have family members dealing with COVID, and her lack of general decency and etiquette made me so uncomfortable I told them to cancel my appointment and I walked out.

On feb 2 I had a full knee replacement on my right knee. I had home physical therapy for 2 weeks. After that I went to Allen Physical Therapy and started my treatments. After a full evaluation of my right knee I began a specialized program for recovery. Receptionist was very nice and was able to schedule my appts that worked well for me. Marc Fielden was my physical therapist and did an evaluation and consultation.. The techs started each session with heat to the knee for 10 minutes and directed me on each of the exercises. Techs kept the process moving in a timely manner. At the end of each session Mark did a progress report. Communications were excellent. I progressed quickly coming 3 days a week. I had minimal pain and some soreness and ice was applied. They did an excellent job to full recovery 3 months from my surgery. I would recommend them to anyone for PT because staff is friendly knowledgeable and professional. My doctor was very pleased when he did my final evaluation. Loretta Curtis

I had a great experience at Allen Therapy Center for a lower lumbar injury. Daniel was my PT and I had great results from the therapy. Daniel has a very calm presence and the staff is very helpful and attentive. Hands on PT plus exercises got me back to 100 %. I highly recommend Daniel and Allen Therapy Center.

My specialist recommended Allen Therapy Center for physical therapy for my tailbone, and to put it simply, I don't recommend this place at all. One positive is that scheduling an appointment was easy, especially since they close at 7pm during the week. I appreciated not having to miss work or cram a session in during a lunch break. One thing I didn't like was that I wasn't informed of how much my out-of-pocket cost would be until a few hours before my appointment, even though I inquired a few days before. Also, no one requested I show up early to fill out paperwork, so 15mins of my session was wasted scribbling my information. When the session started, I was greeted by Marc's assistant (Freddy?) who was super nice and made me feel welcomed. Freddy got me settled and eventually, Marc made his way over. I did the standard "here's how I got here and here are my goals with PT" bit and Marc tested my range and flexibility. He decided leg, glute, and lower back stretches would be the best route for me so Freddy got me set up with those. I've been to PT before -- I was actually at a different facility 4 months prior for my knees -- so I know what's normal and what I like/don't like. I didn't like that Marc wasn't attentive. He'd leave me to do the stretches and sometimes Freddy gave me incorrect directions. I understand Marc had 3 other people to attend to in addition to me, but I prefer places that offer 1 on 1 guidance so that I don't end up doing something with incorrect form and making my injury worse. I didn't receive that here. The 1 thing that made me decide this wasn't the facility for me was Marc. At the end of the session, he printed out the stretches to explain what I needed to continue doing at home. While explaining, he was rubbing my shoulders and upper back, making me feel incredibly uncomfortable. I believe I was leaning as far away from him as I could without falling off the table and yet, he saw nothing wrong with massaging me. Mind you, my injury was my tailbone, lower back. There's absolutely zero reason for Marc to rub my upper back and shoulders, let alone touch me when the PT session was clearly over. Everyone but Freddy, Marc, the woman at the front desk, and me had left at this point, so I felt even stranger and honestly froze. And again, I've been to PT a few times in my life so I know what touching is normal or appropriate. Also, I've been on this planet for 3 decades and I know when I'm feeling violated. The rubbing wasn't right. It further didn't sit well with me because I watched how Marc interacted with the 3 other folks (much older woman, older man, and a man around my age) and not a single one got a goodbye-shoulder-rub. One thing I will emphasize is this is a negative interaction with Marc, exclusively. Freddy had to deal with some awkward moments and he handled them professionally. At one point, Freddy had to expose my butt crack so that he can apply the stickies for electrical stimulation. He warned me that my moon was gonna shine (my words, not his). He asked if that was okay. He made sure there was consent, as he should, and respected my body. Had the woman at the front desk not bolted to the back to prepare to head out for the night, I would've confided in her and told her what was going on and why I wasn't returning. Unfortunately, I didn't have that opportunity so I just left, pensive about what I just experienced and feeling inexplicably creeped out. All in all, regardless of what's deemed necessary or not when it comes to touching, the treatment at this facility is subpar and you'll have better success going elsewhere or doing the stretches/exercises at home, like I ended up doing.

Daniel and his team at Allen Therapy Center are experts at their job. I went in after a knee surgery with very limited ROM and strength. They were able to design a therapy regimen that brought me back to almost normal within few weeks. Very helpful , attention to detail , clean premises and prompt scheduling are their strengths.
