If I could give zero stars, I absolutely would! This review specifically targets an employee named Kimberly. Upon entering the bank, I was surprised by the lack of a proper greeting, especially since my previous visits had been much more welcoming. It felt as though I was completely overlooked.
While I understand that Kimberly was occupied with another customer at the time, her demeanor changed dramatically once I approached her. Instead of a courteous welcome, she brusquely asked, “What do you need?” I politely replied, “Hi! I’m here to cash this check,” and handed her my check along with my ID.
After what felt like an eternity of flipping the check back and forth, she informed me that she needed to call and verify it. I was taken aback and asked why. She claimed it was because she felt uncomfortable cashing checks for unfamiliar customers. When I inquired whether this was standard protocol, she misleadingly stated that it was.
During my earlier visits to this bank, I had never encountered such a situation. Furthermore, how can one expect to be familiar with every individual who enters a public bank?
After verifying the check— which the issuer had confirmed just an hour before my arrival—she finally cashed it. However, her next comment was both unprofessional and rude: “Do you want an envelope or no?”
Since when does a bank not provide an envelope for cash withdrawals or checks? This experience highlighted a severe lapse in customer service. The insinuation that I might be engaging in illegal activity simply because of my appearance is absolutely unacceptable. Discrimination is real & a trait that a dense close mind individual possesses. It is disheartening to see that someone in her position would harbor such biases.
As a business owner, I have been considering opening a business bank account with Truist, but after this encounter, I have serious reservations. Kimberly, it’s important to recognize that not everyone of color is involved in illegal activities, and not all of us are struggling. The sooner you realize this, the better it will be for you and your interactions with customers in the future.

The bankers at this branch are clueless. The experience makes you feel like you are in a third rate bank in Mexico--not the United States.

OMG. I got worst happened today. I went for deposit but drive true is all closed and only one opened. However, it didn't have sending jar. I called and the banker say it doesn't have jar. Also, there are some people at the lobby, so she can't help. I just entered the bank and the banker, who is senior relationship banker - Rose Tarbet, was so rude. I just let them know the drive ture is only one section open. However, she keep try to argue with me. I said I don't want to argue with you, just let you know. She keep did over action.i thought I am not a customer in there. If you need and service, please please find other location or do not ask to Rose Tarbet.

The seating area is actually disgusting. Gross stains on seating. Totally unacceptable for a bank this big. Employees untrained and because of this incompetent. It is not the employees fault, just so poorly managed. The CEO is worth 50 + million and they have untrained employees and stained chairs in lobby.

The team at Truist is great. I'm not very financially savvy but I always get more than enough help. They really care about doing things correctly and always go out of their way for me.

Bill is a very knowledgeable and understanding banker. His ability to interpret federal regulation and audit a bank error, where another branch failed to do, saved Truist my business and probably a major FDIC audit

Worst bank ever to deal with. I have my mortgage with it and I tried many times to refinance it, but they have very bad communication don’t reply to email or to call back. I’ve been trying over than 2 months and no result. Stay away of it.

Horrible customer service from Shawn. I deposited a check into my account and I usually don’t use it. It was actually overdrawn. So I figured I should put money into it. He tells me that it won’t be available until Dec 22nd. I didn’t know I could say no thanks and get it and bank elsewhere. Naive I guess. So I just got my slip and left. I got home upset and decided to call. Shawn was not helpful and rather rude. He admitted he didn’t tell me I could take my check back, but now it’s too late and there was absolutely nothing I could do to get my money earlier because my account was overdrawn. (Like $20 because of a bank fee) Had no understanding or helpfulness about him. Just o well! I expected more quality service or even an apology for not giving you all your options. Guess I will be closing my account on the 22nd when I finally get MY money and closing my husbands saving and business accounts as well.
