PLEASE READ !!! This Carpe Diem hold themselves to such high standards but cannot deliver . My BIGGEST CONCERN is that as a mother I don't believe a man changing a 2 year old girl diaper is acceptable especially without communicating with the parents. I have spoken with some parents and have came in conclusion that we were manipulated because initially we were told he was the music teacher and months later he transitioned into changing little girls diapers secretly. This has been a traumatic situation on all aspects. For me personally, I teach my daughter that no man should be down there meanwhile unknowingly a man has been changing her diaper in which her DAD doesn't even do... not to mention...The Director/ staff failed to notify the parents such as myself of these changes and under no circumstances should it be tolerated despite their lack of staff or excuses. Although this school is under investigation, this review is to shed light where there is darkness. Please don't take this review as a angry parent venting but rather take it from a safety perspective. This school gets new staff often but do not teach the staff to verify the parent before handing off children, my husband has had the wrong child brought to his vehicle and have addressed the importance of verifying parents before giving away children. If sanitation is a factor please understand that this school allows kids to share binkys (pacifiers) and bring them home. Although, some parents might be ok with their child sharing them I feel that it should be communicated. The lesson I learned from this was - Just because you are paying more doesn't mean you are getting the best. *Good luck .. please keep searching *

My son has grown and learned so much here. There’s a perfect balance of learning and fun. We really liked the teachers who are kind, patient, experienced, and knowledgeable. My son went here for two years and I wish he could go here longer. He has made so many wonderful friends. We also liked the curriculum and all the wonderful activities they do with the children. My son spent so much time here, it was like his second home. There’s also family school events and parents night out that add to the the wonderful school. We are so happy we picked this place. It was our best decision we made since moving to Texas.

Both of my daughters have attended Carpe Diem's regular preschool summer school program for a total of 7 years combined. The school has very consistent and loyal teachers for the most part. Most of my first daugher's teachers are all still at Carpe which is great. I loved the Music and Spanish programs and both teachers for those programs are awesome. I was there during the office turnover and I did experience frustrations like some of the earlier reviews stated, however; I can not say enough fabulous things about Sarah the director there now. Sarah's been in the front office now for going on 2 years and she is simply amazing. Super friendly attitude and I've seen an overhaul in the food quality and environment since she joined the office. She truly loves the kids and brings so many great activities for the kids and parents outside of the classroom. She's really put this school back into a 5 star rating. She gives it her heart and soul and it shows.

My child loves going to school and absolutely adores his teachers. As a working mom, nothing brings me more comfort than knowing he is learning and thriving in the environment I chose for him while I'm away from him.The administration always keeps me informed of what is happening in class and always answers any questions or concerns I have in a timely manner.I can't say enough about the teachers, they truly love the children! Plus the programs they offer are top notch. My almost 3 year old has already started Spanish classes, music class, library time, and even yoga and other sporting activities.Lastly, we truly enjoy all their parties and festivals they throw so we can partake as a family with the staff and teachers. It really brings in a sense of community for us working parents to meet each other. In my mind this is the best money ever spent to invest in my child's future.

I love this school! My daughter started here in 2015, and my son in 2016. They have both loved the school and have had caring, nurturing teachers. The director is dedicated and passionate, and she brings a refreshing energy to the school. They also have great facilities and multiple outdoor play areas. We looked at everything in the area before choosing Carpe Diem, and have been very happy with our decision.

We used Carpe Diem several years and decided they were no longer worth the extra cost (which is higher than established and respected places like Primrose and The Goddard School) due to the declining quality and standards. After 6-8 families in the same age range as my child had left I contacted management and shared the concerns over having no staff in the front area at all times, inadequate food portions, and questions about curriculum and kindergarten readiness. We were given no answers or plans to remedy the issues. They were unable to provide us any plan for the curriculumn for the upcoming year and while some parents are riding out the changes in hopes of things getting better, many of the established families have left since the Endeavor corporate take over. The Carpe Diem that had great nutritious menu and programs transitioned to my kid complaining of coming home hungry every day and increased rates.

It used to be a one of the best schools in allen before endeavor took over. I even recommended this school to two of my other friends since we joined. My daughter went to this school for two years. In the last year, there was a significant drop in quality, way too many management changes, and parents concerns not addressed/answered properly by front staff. The prices keep going up and frankly the school isn't worth the increased rates anymore.

My two daughter's attend Carpe Diem, and we highly recommend this private pre-school. The teachers provide a caring environment that my daughter's look forward to going to every day, without them and their level attention and care, this would not be possible. We also love the concepts and curriculum that they are exposed to. I researched and visited many many schools in the area prior to enrolling, and Carpe Diem is by far the best all around school.

While touring the school went into the class room and there was weird smell. Also restrooms attached to classrooms were damp and smelly. It's the most expensive school so one expects everything to be super clean and pleasant

I've had my daughter at Carpe Diem for almost 1 & 1/2 years starting in the Infant room and now in the Toddler program. She has thrived under their loving care. The 3:1 ratio in the infant room - which is lower than most that offer 4:1 - combined with the bright open space and daily music really sold me. Since day one, she has been loved and cared for by amazing professionals - most of which are parents themselves. Each classroom has a structured curriculum that fosters both creativity and learning, and I love the daily music program. My daughter has really blossomed, is speaking tons of new words at 18mos old, and absolutely loves music. I can't say enough wonderful things about Carpe Diem and the difference it has made for our family. Having confidence that our daughter is in a safe, loving environment while we're at work gives us great peace of mind.

The environment is clean and organized. Teachers are nice and genuinely care about kids. Good curriculum and fun activities. My son loves it. The video feed is also nice. The only reason I cannot give it a five-star is because of the safety. Granted Allen is in generally quite safe and the school has camera, finger scanner, check-in / check-out system. So the security is not bad. But the finger-scanner at the entrance breaks down quite often. The school recently added a check-in / check-out system. I would like to see that kids cannot leave without check-out. But now the way it works is that if the parents do not check out, they have to talk to the admins next time they check in. It becomes more like a system for the school to avoid liability instead of to improve safety. Hope this can be improved.

I had 2 kids in CD-Allen from the infant room till Preschool.First the pros:* Wonderful facility - bright and airy!* Comparatively less student/teacher ratio.* Excellent curriculum!* Love the daily music and spanish lessons* Lots of options for extra lessons - ballet, yoga, music, sports and as its scheduled during the day it saves us from driving the kids from one place to another. Now here come the cons:* Not all teachers are great - yes, most of them hold a degree in education but they are either too young with minimal experience in the field and focus more on making crafts rather than teaching the kids or they have no patience and seem too bored to be doing the work they signed up for.* In the last 2 and half years I have seen a very high teacher turn over. 2 years ago my kid's class went through 3 (main) teacher changes. Last year there were two. The front office staff are forever changing.* For the premium price you pay there is not much tolerance - one step out of line and you get called to pickup your child. I wonder how that is even helping the child in learning from their mistakes and correcting them as it feels more like an escape from the current situation - more like a reward rather than an opportunity to learn a lesson* The staff involve in a lot of 'labeling'.

The building is clean, lots of light, nice toys. Those are the only cons for the toddler.Teachers are generally nice, but they are changing on daily basis. There as not a week, that we had same teachers all the 5 days.Activities are being switched as well based on who is the teacher in the class. I also didn't see much interest in kids and their needs. The food isn't good, teachers doesn't pay attention for kids to eat.and not that there is a lot of teacher changes - there also moving your kid from room to room.I took my kid out of this horrible place. Wouldn't be recommending anyone to go there.

My son has been enrolled at Carpe Diem for two and a half years now starting in the infant room. The moment I toured I knew I had found the right school. He was enrolled at the time at a school in Carrollton with overcrowded classrooms and nothing for the children to do if they were not able to go outside due to weather I didn't want to keep him at a school where he could not grow.Carpe Diem has changed his life and mine as well. It is the absolute best feeling when you can leave your child and know without a doubt that they are being taken care of. From daily sheets that you are given to see what books they read, what computer games they played and any other information you need. To the camera access, anytime of day you can log on and check on your child. ( its all secure and safe)There is daily Spanish and Music classes held in the music room and library...yes this school has its own library! There is a computer lab with education games programmed and no internet access. And the activity room...its what sold me! A huge area where the children go twice a day and play. So no matter what the weather is like they are getting the exercise and movement their little energized bodies need. The teachers, I can not say enough positive things about the teachers at this school. Every class he has been in the teachers are loving, and kind. He always brings home the cutest projects and as he is growing I see everyday more and more they have taught him. He is counting to 15 now..at two and a half years old!!!!!!The staff in the front is outstanding they will always do their best to ensure they have answered any questions you have or concerns and I have always felt like they care for my son as much as the teachers and that he isn't just another child walking through the doors. If you are looking for child care in Allen do yourself a favor and stop in, its worth it for your child to be happy and have fun and learn at the same time!
