I am honestly shocked to see reviews of anything less than five-stars for Cat Hospital of Collin County. Dr. Dana and Allen are incredible, compassionate, and caring individuals and in the 15+ years they have taken care of my cats, I have had exactly zero, and I mean ZERO problems with their office. I have always been seen in a timely manner, often same-day if my cat is in bad shape. Their pricing is super competitive, especially considering the level of care and attention they give both you and your pets. They have NEVER pushed unnecessary treatments on any of my cats, and I even had 2 with cancer at one point. When medications or labs are necessary, Dr. Dana has always presented me with several options, explained thoroughly the pros and cons of each course of action (and disclosed costs to the best of her ability), and then let me choose what's best for my cats.My experience with Cat Hospital of Collin County has been nothing less than five-stars. Do yourself a favor and read through all the reviews and you'll see that 99% of reviewers agree. If you want to take your cats to someone who truly loves what they do and truly wants the best for your fur-babies, visit Dr. Dana and Allen!

I really love Doctor Dana. She really cares what’s best for your cat and is not running up a bill like I’ve seen with previous providers. Walking into the lobby is like walking into a cat spa. My cat was anxious and uncontrollable everywhere else but was calm and manageable here. When it was time for him to cross the rainbow bridge, Dana was compassionate and reassuring. Thank you.

Dr Crigger and staff are the best. I have 4 cats ranging in age from 1 year to 17 years old. I was so grateful to find this facility so close to my home. All of my cats are happy and healthy. Cat Hospital of Collin County is always available to help me with any of their needs. I highly recommend their services.

My 4 week old kitten and I were treated with incredible kindness. It is very clear that Dr Dana and her husband care a lot for the kitties and those of us doing our best to care for them. Thank you so much for everything so far and we'll see you again.

Dr Dana Crigger and Allen took excellent care of our Frisco for 15 years, before he passed at 17. They are now taking wonderful care for our Honey. They are great.Frisco and now, Honey really appreciate their cat only practice, which make the trip to the vets, less stressful than it would be, otherwise.

Idk what happened to my review so here it is again. I lived nearby and I was excited to come here since I assumed they were cat experts based on the name.My cat Garfield was sick, he wasn't eating, pooping, was lethargic and would throw up.This place couldn't find anything wrong but they were quick to offer an exploratory surgery. They treated our cat like this was a high school biology class. What are you going to look for if you have no idea what he had? X rays were clear, they didn't feel anything abnormal on his body.I was very worried to begin with and this made me very upset and hopeless. This didn't make any sense and thankfully, I was able to turn down the service.We took Garfield to our old vet, they gave him an IV, antibiotics and he got better within a week.This was ~6 years ago.It shocks me that this place is still open. I couldn't imagine having lost my cat due to the incompetence of these people.

I had high hopes for this place, but sadly, my experience was quite the opposite. I entrusted their medical opinion, because as a licensed veterinarian it’s their job to know how to properly go about caring for animals. I should’ve known better, but it’s their job to do that for me for the best interest of my cat. Instead of addressing my cat's underlying issue, they opted to load her up with medication without even suggesting any diagnostics first. Their approach seemed more like applying a bandage to the problem rather than genuinely treating the root cause. As a result, my cat's condition worsened. I brought Olive, my cat, in because she had a decreased appetite. They recommended anti-nausea medication, despite telling them she’s not vomiting, and gave her an appetite stimulant. They also suggested she was due for her rabies vaccine, even though I had her chart indicating she had received the same shot just four months ago. I noticed when I left and walked back in to point this out, they downplayed it and said “it only changes when her next dose is due”, but it turned out to be harmful. That night, my cat developed a fever, became very lethargic, and had diarrhea. I rushed her to the ER at 2 am, where they informed me that the vaccine had exacerbated her condition. Seeking a second opinion from another vet the same morning at 11:30 am (Animal Medical Center of Plano), I received the same diagnosis. They advised us to call “Cat hospital of Collin county” to let them know what was going on and all they said was “we can give her an anti-diarrhea medication if you bring her in.” That’s not a solution! While they are friendly individuals, I disagree with their approach to feline care. I learned my lesson, and hopefully anyone who reads this will learn too.You’re probably looking through reviews trying to find vet that will give your cat the best of care, look no more! I highly recommend Animal Medical Center of Plano!

We absolutely LOVE this team of cat lovers! Finding a feline-only vet's office isn't easy. Fortunately for us and our pets, we found the best. Can't say enough good things about this team. They were so wonderful over the summer when we were trying to save a 3 week old emaciated kitten found under a car in a parking lot. The little guy wouldn't be the frisky, pudgy dumpling we have today without them. We appreciate them so much! Dana and Al are always very friendly, patient, accommodating and full of good tips and advice. We know our cats are in caring hands when they're there.We recently moved down to the Dallas, but we are keeping this office for all their care. It's worth the trip! If you've got a cat you love, this is the vet's office for you.
