On Friday April 4th, I was here. I left my debit card there by accident. On Sunday I discovered that I didn't have it. No strange pending charges so I put the card on pause! Went back on Monday afternoon and they gave it back to me. Tonight my daughter who lives in Georgia said she received a FB message asking if she was related to me and asked if I had lost my card. I have no idea how they found her? Just a positive story but I do frequent here a few times a month. Great friendly people, good prices and very helpful. Not to miss!

I don’t want to pin point the person behind the counter but they are extremely rude. I’ve spent a lot of money here and won’t be coming back. Prices are pretty steep. I would avoid. Go to specs or up the street.

I've tried several liquor stores in North Dallas, including Total Wine, Specs, Siegels, Empire Liquors, and others. Empire Liquor is my go-to because of their selection and Matt. Empire is a smaller liquor store, but they have a great choice. I've looked into their tequilas and whiskeys, and they have a great selection that goes beyond most other liquor stores. Total Wine does have a much more extensive selection (probably the biggest of all the liquor stores in Dallas). But Total Wine has often tried to direct me away from highly rated tequilas and whiskeys towards their brands. I don't trust their recommendations, and it rubs me the wrong way that they push their brand over other highly rated brands. That's where Empire sets itself apart with the honesty and knowledge of its sales staff. Matt, in particular, has been a wealth of knowledge. I've let him know what type of liquor I like (ryes and tequilas), and he always shows several different brands and talks about how they're different. I've followed his recommendations and he's not steered me wrong yet. My wife was impressed with the Respodo tequila he recommended. This is why the Empire Liquor store is now the only place I go for tequilas and whiskeys.

If you want something he doesn't have, tell him(the owner) and give him ~2 weeks, then come back for it and give him a nice tip, if he can do that he definitely deserves it.
Regardless, I was honestly very impressed with the selection and will definitely make this my primary liquor store in the Area
