Felicia was so friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable.I decided to open an account because my “regular” bank (Wells Fargo) was too busy to help me with what I needed and didn’t seem to want my money. I am super impressed with Origin and glad my brother told me about it!

DO NOT BANK HERE!!!! I just received a call from the President of their Texas division because of an issue we had with an Employee (Manager April) at the Frisco location who said that almost 2 years ago (which we did not know about) my husband spoke unprofessional to her. This was after they closed a line of credit that we had a few years prior. Apparently, they mature which Mr. Birdwell told me tonight and that it was MY responsibility at the customer to know that. Unbelievable we have been doing our banking with Origin since they were Community Trust, I believe for 7-8 years with NO issues. Until the line of credit issue, but we moved on, life is busy and didn't fuss about them closing it until about three months ago, when we found out that our life insurance had Origin as a beneficiary for this line of credit they closed! God forbid something happened in that two years, 250k would have went to Origin!! It literally makes me sick to my stomach, this issue still has not be resolved because Origin says they can't find the account number? Then on Monday of this week, we needed to inquire about getting a small loan and was told again by April without looking at ANY of the number for the business that Origin would not do this loan? We thought that was strange. So, we inquired as to why? April then said it was another employee Gerardo that made the decision. I called for two days in a row to speak with her manager, David Helms and then his manager, Russ with no return call. Then Tuesday evening we got the shock of our lives! Geraldo called us and told us that April and "another employee" which is turns out to be her manager David filled harassment complaints against us, yes, us the customers??? Then Geraldo went on to say that their compliance department was inquiring about a check WE WROTE to an individual with CBD in the memo line. A bank can't tell anyone where they can spend their money. Geraldo said basically that we could not do that?? I have inquired to our lawyer and he is 100% wrong. So, we set up a meeting with him for tomorrow to try to resolve the issues. However, tonight we got a call from the Texas president, Warrie Birdwell. I thought, finally they are going to apologize for this craziness and listen to what really happened 2 years ago with April closing the line of credit. No, he told us within 1 minute of the call that they were closing ALL of our account within 30 days. I said, you don't even want to know what happened, he said NO we believe our employees? So, we have over 10 accounts and this will be detrimental to our business as some of our income is from direct deposit which will take 60-90 days to get moved. I then told him about the life insurance and he again said it was our fault. I asked if he would have been upset as a small business owner about a line of credit being closed, he again said No it was our responsibility! I am just really in shock. I love Mercedes, Cotis (previous manager) and Manual they are great but the management at the bank have some real ethical and moral issues!!! Stay far far away!!!! It is NOT THE BANK that we opened both our children's 1st accounts in or that supported our son/daughter athletic events. There motto is "We exist to enrich the lives of people in our community." I don't think this is how any small business should be treated!! They have changed!

I can't say enough good things about Origin Bank, and specifically the Allen Branch. About 5 years ago I was tired of being just a number at the big banks. I wanted to get to know my banker, and to have them know me and my needs on a personal level. That and so much more is what I've received from Origin. A BIG shout out to Edan, our banker, who always goes above and beyond and treats us like family!

Horrendous! I NEVER RECEIVED A DEBIT CARD. I applied for the account in October, got an email stating that I was approved and I was given an account number to set up the APP. TWO MONTHS later (still no card) I got a letter stating that my account was closed, so I went into the bank and they reopened the account and requested a card be mailed to me. Today I received a letter stating that my account had been officially closed as of 1/16 because they “didn’t receive a signature card” from me! I NEVER RECEIVED A DEBIT CARD IN THE MAIL- what on earth is this? I’d like back the fees that I paid to keep the account open. I will never recommend this bank to anyone- just as well their online customer service is HORRIBLE.

I absolutely love this bank! All the people that work here are excellent at customer service! They know your customers by name they are very friendly and they are extremely helpful. I am so happy that Amie P. lead me to this bank!
