It's not about this branch but overall RBFCU.This branch has great people. Even the branch manager Brian case is greatIssues:Entire customer service and all operations are handled by a call centerThe worst globallyCall center :1. Six months no access to my online statements2. The entire staff goes home at 6.00 PM3. No credit card staff on weekend, if your card is blocked by chance4. Extremely poor service. They hang up the call and not polite5. When you call credit card services it says 'we don't recognize number you are calling from and goes in circles'6. They charged me overdraft fees even when it was a bank error and would not refund money.7. I had a fraud on my account. They credited the money and came back after 3- months, sorry we cannot process your request, no reason. Fact ( they lost my report ). I kept on thinking it is done. I lost $1300.I am very angry at these losersProduct review : in scale of 1-5, 5 being best1. Checking /savings account - 1 ( read above )2. Credit card - 1 ( read above )3. Business account - 1 ( I plan to close it ). I never used it much. I know they will mess up in future.4. Loan - 3 ( Only problem they are also a part of call center. They do work hard and but they also shut down at 6.00 pm)

Best bank I ever had! Free checking. Quick arrival of checks. $1 money orders. Cheap safe deposit boxes (I think $10). AND.......they greet you by name! Don't hesitate. mb

Pretty good location, no lines or wait time in the middle of a week day. Karen took care of me with no issues at all. Great communication and customer service, their loans have low rates and good terms.

Stopped by to open an account. Stood there for 15 minutes and no one helped us. 2 people said someone will be with us in a moment. The line was long and only 3 workers in the building. This was at 11:30am on a Thursday. Will never visit again

I've been a member here at the Allen location since 2015 and up until the last 7 months or so i have been happier banking here. I'm not sure what recently changed but the service sucks at this branch. The final incident that made me decide to finally swap my accounts to other banks was after getting a new debit card rush shipped for a mishap that happened on the RBFCU corp side of things I went to deposit some cash in the atm. The machine never gave my card back. When i went inside to see if they could retrieve my card, I was told they cannot as they don't service the ATM at their branch and if i wanted to rush a new card it would be $35.I called the corp bank number who rush delivered a new card and waved the fee for me.this incident was just one of the 5 issues I've had with them since seems their customer service has gone down the drain.

Terrible, terrible experience! I made a deposit in the ATM and the machine did not give me back my card. I went inside to resolve the issue and when I went up to the teller a Hispanic gentleman behind her said "WE can't help you unless you have a proper mask". I had a mask on, apparently one he didn't like, so I said "I do have a mask on". He offered me a disposable mask and I declined. I stated that I have a medical condition which required me to wear the kind of mask that I had on and he refused to service me. The gentleman left and then the teller refused to service me. I told her that I was the one inconvenienced and that she herself had a cloth mask on which is ineffective! After standing my ground she finanally serviced me but not with out a bad attitude. This was ridiculous especial since Governor Abbott's order specifically says "People pumping gas or entering a building that requires screening or surveillance, such as banks, DO NOT have to wear a mask". This experience was infuriating and I am looking for another banking service.

A couple of weeks ago, my husband and I went into RBFCU to convert a matured CD into checking and savings accounts. A teller, Christina, helped with this. She was businesslike and seemed capable. When we received our checks, they had the wrong city/town on them. I went in to get this resolved and Christina again waited on me. Again, no smile, no hello/welcome, no anything but strictly business. She never even offered a verbal apology for the inconvenience. We received our new checks a few days later. This time only my husband's name was listed on the checks. My name was gone. I know that they use another company to print their checks, so they are not directly responsible, but I went back into the credit union to get this resolved. This time Cynthia handled the matter, although Christina was there and seemed to be guiding her through some of this. Neither lady greeted me, smiled, or in any way acknowledged me as a customer. Cynthia did enter information into the computer then handed me back the checks. Again, absolutely no comment, apologies, nothing!!I have accounts in other corporately owned banks but wanted to support our local credit union. In the past, the credit unions we had were absolutely the BEST!! They were personable, very friendly and made you feel valued. I expected MUCH better than what I received on my last two visits!!I then read the reviews for this branch and just 3 weeks ago, Christina was cited for rude behavior. The powers to be responded that the matter would be worked on by the team. There appears to be a disconnect here, which is why I am sending a letter to their headquarters. As I was working on this, my husband noted that he had an account with this credit union back in the 1950s. At that time, if someone ran into a problem with this organization, the base commander would be notified and appropriate action taken. While I doubt that this would still be the case, I am taking this action because I want to see the credit union be a successful organization, but judging from most of the reviews, it has absolutely terrible customer service. Customer service is an easy fix. The manager of the branch, whose name is not listed anywhere that I could find, should insist that all tellers and staff follow certain protocols. Rule number one is to be welcoming, friendly and customer oriented. If there is a problem, a simple apology and assurances that the matter will be rectified should be standard procedures. A smile, kind words and some warmth, will go a very long way to helping the customer feel appreciated and valued. My husband wants to pull the account but I want to try to affect change because this kind of change really is easy, but direction has to come from management. I hope this will happen.

Bank teller Christina at RBFCU in Allen Tx was incredibly Rude and unprofessional. My husband and I were In a room for an appt unrelated to this matter. I quickly remembered I needed to deposit money with a few minutes left in the clock before 5pm. I step to the banker as she stared at me without asking me for assistance. She Never asked how she could help so I said I would like to deposit some money. She asked for my account, or Id. I told her I had an ID in the car I could run and get, she looked at me with a blank stair as if it was an inconvenience for her, so she then proceeded to say I needed and ID. I said ok, I normally have one and I could step outside and grab it. But then she decided to ask for my last name. I gave her my last name, she then stared at her computer for minutes not saying a word besides telling me to pull my mask up higher. Meanwhile I took my money out, which I didn’t realize she was annoyingly waiting for, I was under the impression she was still messing with the computer and contemplating weather she was going to allow me to deposit the money. She says I’ll go ahead and deposit this time, but again I would need and ID next time which she said for the 3 rd time and I agreed I could still step outside to grab it. so I rushed to hand her my money. She asks me how much I was depositing, I said I wasn’t sure( I had handed it over to her quickly when she gave me a go) so she was annoyed that she had to count the money. I have a Wells Fargo account for 12 years and they have never had a banker not count the money OUT LOUD and then still putting it through a machine. She says a number, and I was so upset already and wanted to get away from her that I didn’t even ask to count my money myself before handing it back. I still don’t even know if this human counted the right money I gave her but I’ll take fault in that. You are the banker Christina not I. You should count the money, be friendly and lively. Don’t focus on the time on the clock, and my mask when you have a Mask yourself and A clear board In front of your face and on top of the clear distance between us. You are doing the bare minimum for your job. Your ruining ppls day. Stay home. You’re protected at home.I felt extremely discriminated against.
