Good mechanics capable of handling tough diesel work. I was passing through town and needed a vacuum pump replacement on my 7.3 Powerstroke. They knocked out the work that even required a bit of engineering (AC compressor deletion) on their end. I'm now smiling again with the Texas wind in my sails.

The 5 star reviews on here do not lie!
I cracked the brake fluid line on my Jeep while off-roading in Big Bend and was looking at a multi-day delay waiting for an OEM part. I (carefully) made my way to Alpine and to Big Bend Auto Repair and got taken care of right away. These guys went above and beyond to get me back on the road by custom making a new line for my Jeep. Good people with real skills and real heart. (Even my kids were taken care of with Netflix, plenty of toys and Bash the sweetest dog ever to play with.)
Would definitely recommend, and would definitely come back if anything pops up in the future while I’m over this way.

The team at Big Bend Auto Repair were great! They fixed a failed tie rod quickly and at a fair price and got me back on the road in a couple of hours. They even recommended a good towing service to get me from Terlingua up to Alpine so I was towed, repaired, and back on the road the same day. I’m glad to know these guys are there for the next 4x4 adventure.

Went there to have a simple job done and when I got my vehicle back it was improperly repaired. The owner said the mechanic is now on something else and for me to come back. That's sounds great and all but that is two hours of drive time and 80.00 worth of gas . Didnt even offer maybe a discount on my bill or credit , kinda shitty and dishonest to take someone's money when it's not done right . Any how got that issue fixed and the rest of the job that we talked about for a lot less at Bill Williams treated as a guest and not a paycheck... Honestly is the best policy,

My vacation was ruined after driving through miles of torrential rain and ending up in a flooded ditch. The result was a flat tire and a nonfunctioning alternator. The guys got me on the road at a reasonable cost in terms of $$ and time. Given my circumstances, they performed the service on a Saturday! That’s extraordinary. That’s small town hospitality. They’re good guys.

Bran and the mechanics at BBAR were so knowledgeable, kind, and flexible! They were able to schedule my van for a brake pad replacement, and squeezed in fixing my sliding door. Their business cards are so clever! 10 stars!

Cannot recommend this place enough. Had car issues while in Big Bend..there were zero shops in the area open on weekends. Gave Brandon a call and he graciously opened for us on a Sunday so we could figure out what was going on. The mechanic very quickly diagnosed the issue (in about 10 minutes). They did not rip us off and helped us figure out options. Seriously…best shop in the area. Do not go anywhere else. This is the ONLY place you want to take your car!!

Amazing experience after dealing with major car issues. Brandon and his team came in on a Sunday — their day off and gave me an honest diagnosis. Brandon then drove my girlfriend, two golden retrievers and I into town. Best experience Ive ever had at a body shop!

I was a stranded traveler towed out of Black Gap WMA. The mechanics were honest hometown type of guys. They gave me a fair price for repairs and got me quickly back on the road back to New Brainfels. Thanks Big Bend Automotive!!!

I recommend this shop. I had a flat in Big Bend National Park, found out the last person to work on my car cross threaded my lug nuts. Once we arrived the owner had the threaded part cut off and replace, then took the rim to the tire shop to have a new one put on and returned. They were friendly, professional and went way above to help. I'd use them in a heartbeat if I was in town again.

Flat tire in Big Bend NP was distressing but BAM in Alpine fixed immediately once we got towed in by Sixto's Wrecking (AAA). Disaster day saved by great coordination and service!!! Thank you!
