He needed a bath after camping in the Big Bend backcountry and she gave him an extra scrubbing because he needed it. We heard about this food truck from the YouTube channel Mission America and decided to give it a try. We ordered the Chicken and Swiss sandwich and the Chicken Philly—both were delicious!! The gentleman at the counter was super friendly and helpful, and the seating area was quirky and fun. Honestly, if we hadn’t seen it on YouTube, we probably never would have stopped because it looks a little scary and run down from the outside—but we’re so glad we did!

Cedar Coffee Supply
103 N 4th St, AlpineTucked behind and connected to a bookstore just off Holland Ave, Cedar Coffee Supply feels like a splash of modernism in a small, rural, historic town. The service was excellent, and the atmosphere struck a perfect balance--clean and contemporary, yet quiet enough for real conversation, with plenty of space to sit and linger. I didn't get a chance to ask who roasts their coffee, but the light roast was impressively smooth, almost tea-like, with none of the bitterness you'd expect. I also ordered a mocha latte and loved that they make their syrups in-house--the freshness really comes through, a welcome change from the usual plastic-bottle pumps. Overall, it's a calming, rejuvenating space and an easy place to slow down and enjoy a great cup of coffee.
