Beware of 35 Motors.
My daughter was looking for a reliable car (she works as a vendor for a company that has her travel from store to store in different towns). She saw a cute little VW bug convertible. When she went to buy it and make the deal, she was informed she couldn’t buy it because 35 motors were not authorized to sell the car. That should have been our red flag. The owner said he had a “great reliable car, that would be perfect for her.” And it only cost twice as much. When she bought it, she financed it and purchased the extended warranty. It wasn’t till the deal was done, we found out it still needed the safety inspection before it could be registered. 35 motors gave her dealer paper tags to drive till it could get inspected. She took it to the inspection place recommended by 35 motors, and was told it needed to be driven 200 miles before it could be inspected because the check engine light was recently reset. During the 200-mile driving the check engine light came back on. My daughter took it back to 35 motors to get fixed so it would pass inspection.
This happened over a month ago. 35 motors still has the car, will not return calls, avoids when we call them, and when my daughter called this morning and asked about it, whoever answered the call said it was ready, we got there and the door was padlocked shut with nobody around.
I understand used cars, and they are bound to have some issues. My daughter still hasn’t been able to put the car in her name because of these issues. If you know the car is a piece of junk either do not sell it or disclose up front what is wrong with it before you sell it.

Very nice people. Will do all they possibly can to get you into a decent vehicle. You can finance in-house or through a bank. They will even take their vehicles back as trade-ins .

I would recommend 35 motors. Sal has gone out of his way to ensure I have a good running vehicle for my family and I.
We both were fooled by the first vehicle I chose but he did everything in his power and managed to get me into something better. Him and John have been nothing but good to me. I appreciate their kindness and willingness to help!

At first I was very impressed and felt pleased with my prospective vehicle purchase. Sal made me feel confident that I could trust the Traverse as a safe vehicle for my daughter and I. As a single mom, safety for my daughter is most important for me. When it came time to finalize the transaction John dealt with my trade in and finalizing. Something about him from the start, I was a little hesitant but needed a safe car for my daughter and I so I went ahead. They took my trade in which I was grateful for but the 2010 Chevy Traverse wasn't ready for me to drive off the lot yet as it was at their "mechanic" (which is a guy at the gas station car wash up the road) getting cleaned and whatnot so they gave me a "loaner" (a Cadillac suv with no AC and couldn't connect Bluetooth) but it drove..... when I finally got the Traverse I drove it maybe 3 days before the "brand new AC" stopped working and the hesitation upon starting (which they told me was from it sitting on the lot) became problematic..... it was at their "mechanic" again and I was again given the Cadillac suv.... the "mechanic" "fixed the problem"..... ONE week later *APRIL 15, 2024* problems continued and arose... John sent me to Ron Carter up the road.... problems found and fixed at Ron Carter
-Rear evap core leaking (AC)
-Starter needs to be replaced
-Turn signals bulbs need to be replaced (rear)
-Motor mounts broken (*need replaced)
I DIDN'T GET THE TRAVERSE BACK FROM RON CARTER UNTIL MAY 7th, 2024.... mind you I drove the car one week, first car payment was May 8th.... the ONLY reason I didn't stop the payment from going through is because I had the "loaner" when my car was in the shop at Ron Carter.... AC was working great, car drove good except I need an alignment.... I finally was able to go get the inspection at their place they use, it passed.... I drove BACK to 35 Motors to get stickers and new paper plate (since I was driving with an expired one) and lo and behold no one was there because John had went to lunch and run errands even though I told him I would be by as soon as I was done.

I have been a customer of John's for 5 years! I actually should have left him a long time ago! My first car was almost paid off but I ended up burning out starters. I went to get my oil changed and the mechanic said the oil and transmission were leaking onto the starters and burning them out! I had to have a mobile mechanic come out and put in yet another starter and even he said the oil and transmission were leaking on the starters and burning them out! I told John this and he promised to fix it after he asked me if I was going to buy yet my 3rd starter! My car spent weeks at his shop and he borrowed me a used run down Mercedes with a tire that didn't hold air and there was NO spare! I come up with a temporary hack of bubble gum, fix a flat and more of MY MONEY and air in the tire! He said he wanted to sell me the loaner but couldn't find a tire! Then he came up with a Nissan Altima that had bald tires and within 2 months of driving it, the brakes started to grind severely!
That car ended up getting stolen, in police impound, and is no longer a car but a scrap heap!
At that time I was severely traumatized, was ready to cut up my license and never drive again! EVER! I called John and told him of the tragedy and HE OFFERED ME ANOTHER CAR! HE OFFERED! I never begged nor asked nor did I care! He KNEW I HAD NO MONEY! HE KNEW I WAS GOING THROUGH FINANCIAL DIFFICULTIES BUT HE OFFERED! I RELUCTANTLY AGREED and was PROMISED the Kia Rondo I have now was going to be a good car! 2 months into this car and clunking A LOT OF CLUNKING! I took it to a mechanic that said it's the shocks! It was NOT the shocks! Then a month later, squealing brakes and grinding! I went to another mechanic and he said 300$ for the brakes and rotors and 212.00 to fix the Tyne rod/bar that helps you to steer! Oh! I forgot to mention: it cost me 50$ UBER to drive to John's! I have replaced the battery which cost me 140$ I don't have as now the car started to stall and when I described the issue on Facebook, my family said it sounds like the car is going into limp mode! When I looked up limp mode: it said that the car will stall due to low fluids, or the transmission. With my luck and these cars? It is DEFINITELY the transmission! I have not had this car but a year and already 5 MAJOR ISSUES! To which John should have known and had fixed and still should fix...at his expense! Should have been done before he sold it! He also tried to sell my son a Leif that didn't keep its charge, he then gave my son a POS that lasted a year and broke down in the parking lot and ended up getting towed! I confronted John last night and as EVERYONE can see, he used God against me, used gas lighting, said I'm full of hate and anger, and that I need help! He stated that he gave me this car out of kindness and God knows his intentions! Oh he knows alright! John is taking advantage of a divorcee and runs me down and blows me off when I've told him the issue with this car! And expected me to pay for everything!
This car is NOT safe to drive! It would at this point NEVER pass inspection!
I could get into an accident and end up dead and hurting others!
I told him he can either get this death trap or
Give me the title and pd for bill of sale!
And he will never hear from me again!
His response was: God bless you and best wishes! And then he said he was sick!
AM I SUPPOSED TO CARE!?
I have had NOTHING but Anxiety, Stress and depression with this car! And at this point TRAUMA! OH and I forgot: the bank called and asked me about the car
I told them the truth: when I mentioned it to John, he said: oh ! You should not have done that bc I was wanting them to send me
A check for the car bc you have not been paying me! YES I HAVE! I HAVE PD!
So I was supposed to lie to the bank!
And last: I had to BEG for car plates last year as well! Ive had nothing but problems with this lemon sales dealer! And TO TELL A CUSTOMER TH

We had a great experience getting a car at 35 Motors! Sal was very helpful and showed us several cars that we test drove. When we made a decision, John really worked with us and made it happen! We are very grateful for the whole experience!

BEWARE!I bought a car from these people last year, they had sold me the vehicle before the previous owner had even signed or given them the title. It took about 3 months before I was able to get my plates & tags and we paid it off in CASH the same day but said they then didn't have the money to get it doneTheir hours were unreliable they are open only whenever they feel like it without any warning.I also found out the the knob to change the direction of the air flow was missing as well as. The cabin air filter.**EDIT**The owner of the business replied, let me clarify that this vehicle was not from carvana, the woman who had traded the car I currently drive was there the day I bought the car. Also the business WAS made aware that the controller switch for the AC direction knob was completely missing as well as the cabin air filter and I was told that they couldn't help me for I have driven it over the amount of miles covered by the warranty which wasn't long ( I had had the car for 2 months at that point and only use it to drive back and forth from pearland) the PROBLEM, unlike what the owner stated wasThat they sold me a car before the title was even signed. I was driving a car around that wasn't even legally mine. The DMV suggested to me that I take legal action and we chose not to because after months of calling and showing up in person and getting two different paper plates we FINALLY got the title.Be careful if you buy a car from this company and make sure that everything is together. We were at first very impressed with this company only for it to quickly go downhill. Luckily besides having to pay 600$ to fix the car we haven't had any only issues
