Alvin AMOCO is great!! Very helpful and friendly staff! Mandolyn F and Jennifer M are both very awesome as well!! They helped me with getting my first auto loan and made sure that experience would go as smooth as possible. I’ve been with Amoco since I was 16 years old and working an internship Amoco Chemical Plant. I’ve boasted and praised this credit union, have purchased 2 cars and loans.Today has been a mentally draining day for me. I went into the credit union to pay my monthly bills through cash advance from another institution and my card was swiped multiple times duplicating transactions and my account is now over drafted -$222.00 and $700 extra was taken from account. I went in and Madelyn assisted and even spoke to UFCU to discuss the duplicate transactions. She provided me with receipts, her contact information and agreed to cover the overdraft fees and explained the process. Let’s just say I have to wait 2 business days Friday and Monday for the transactions to fall off. She offered to skip a payment but it’s a weekend and I dont have any extra money.I called UFCU and received a letter getting that my account was over drawn. I called Madelyn back and didn’t receive a call from her but Branch Manager Justin called. He was pleasant and offered to cover overdraft fees. I submitted the information via email and he advised the follow, “I’m able to reimburse for fees, but I’m not able to cure a negative balance, unfortunately. The negative balance at UFCU will be cured soon on their end. Overdraft fees related to the negative balance is something we can work with on this end”.The negative balance is a result of their negligence. He was responding but I didn’t hear back from him regarding the overdraft fees. This should have been resolved and taken care of today. I have no extra gas money, no food, I had plans with my family and have been inconvenienced. Justin seemed to be concerned but you did not follow up with me. I am sitting here trying to figure out how I will survive. I appreciate them skipping a payment but that’s not going to help me because I came in to make car payment plus my auto balance doesn’t change with a skip a payment. They’ve done nothing to help me while they’re home with their families. I’m very disappointed and will be escalating this matter and how it was handled.

My husband & I have been customers at Amoco FCU for years. January 12, 2021 we got an RV loan. Amoco did not send the title paperwork to Galveston County until April 9, 2021. The registration expired on the RV so therefore we could not pull it to our property. I went to the Galveston County Building and they told me Amoco had dropped off 2 big boxes of loans for registration. THEY LET THESE SIT FOR 4 MONTHS! I had called Amoco 3 times prior and was told it was submitted to the county and that they were "behind". A TOTAL LIE. I am furious!!! The RV is STILL in the prior owner's name because Amoco FCU couldn't do their job. I was told that they are all working from home "remotely". Where are the supervisors? Why aren't they doing their job to ensure the employees are getting in paperwork in a timely manner???? Everyone uses "Covid" as an excuse, and I'm calling b******* on that. These employees at home are messing around and not doing their job. Shame on Amoco FCU for not managing their employees better. Such crappy customer service. There is NO excuse for a 4 month delay in submitting paperwork. My husband & I have discussed pulling ALL of our accounts from AMOCO and moving it to another bank. If you want good customer service DO NOT go to AMOCO FCU. They SUCK!!!!

Not helpful at all.. wouldn't replace a torn 100 bill I have. Tried to lie and tell me I had a serial # missing. Then when I called them put on that they wanna ask for my account # (which i dont have an account) and then tell me they don't do any cash transactions without an account. I thought u could go to any bank to swap out money that was torn, ripped, burned, etc as long as both serial numbers were intact (which mine are) Well they definitely gave me every reason why I won't be getting an account there.
