ALL I HAVE TO SAY IS WOW, FROM THE HOUSE/VENUE TO THE PEOPLE THAT HELP YOUR FAIRY TALE & DREAMS COME TO REALITY, ALTHOUGH IT HAS BEEN SEVEREAL YEARS AGO SINCE WE SAY I DO, I COULD NOT HAVE ASKED FOR ANYTHING MORE. THE OWNER WAS A PRETTY AWESOME & SWEET HEARTED MAN, & THE ON HAND CHEF WAS AMAZING, WE HAD A 3 COURSE MEAL MADE IN HOUSE FOR ALL OUR GUESTS, THE BEST PART FOR ME WAS THE LOAD WAS NOT ON MY SHOULDERS EXCEPT FOR WHAT FOOD/CAKE & DRINKS WE WANTED TO HAVE & THE PHOTOGRAPHER WAS ALL WE HAD TO DO. I WILL ALWAYS HAVE A SWEET SPOT IN MY HEART FOR THE MOST AMAZING DAY IN MY LIFE. XOX

Nice venue. Need to have all of your event timed to the minute. No place to park but the lawn...I thought that was odd!!

Beautiful event place but lacks planning and organizational skills. - They need to step up their game with organization. For an event of only about 70 people - they ran out of plates! The flow for the Buffett should have been planned smarter as we were having to double back through the crowd with full hands to go get our Tea. - Drinks go last in a self serve Buffett because you need 2 hands to serve your plate. - With their giant kitchen island the buffet line could have had great flow if planned better. Zero lighting outside was awkward for everyone trying to park and walk to their cars. Everyone was mentioning that. As a former restaurant owner I know they're just asking for a liability lawsuit with their pitch dark grounds. I get wanting to maintain ambiance but on a dark night at least some soft lighting so you can see where you're walking is necessary. The food was good, and well presented, but salt less. When I asked one of the staff for Salt I was told they didn't have any. (?!) "Any? Not in the whole entire house?" Finally a lady brought out 1 set. (For 50+ people?) If you're not going to provide those silverware sets that include the little salt and pepper packages, go to Hobby Lobby and get those sets of multiple crystal miniature salt and pepper sets. An expense of probably about $30 to have a set for each table. The hostess was beautiful and the place is beautiful but I like my events to flow as smoothly as possible so the focus can be on the reason for celebrating and not on the disorganization.

It was a mid-Sept wedding, which made it pretty hot. My friend and I were kind of late, so when parking in field everyone could see us hustle up to the wedding, no big deal, but it kind of allows for some distractions. Outside, it would be nice to may have some type of cooling off station or water on the tables. Luckily there was an inside location a few people at a time could sneak off to to cool down.Overall, it's pretty nice. Small venue. The food was good, there's some rolls to die for and I may have had those over the cake because they were so awsome. Food was good.As a participant, I wasn't a fan of the bathroom situation. There was one bathroom on the back side of the building, which you had to sneak past the drink station to get to and one of the doors on the inside didn't lock. So, that was a one single person bathroom and then inside there was a 2nd single person bathroom that I didn't even know about until leaving. The other biggest drawback is leaving the location at night, it's super dark, but that's also what allows for amazing moonlight looks, but, it's still kind of tucked away with roads that are lined with ditches and opposums running across.Being near the woods, kind of a creek area, I did have some panicked friends who had to watch their children with some pretty severe intensity, worries they would lose them.Sparkler option at the end, very nice. Oh, but the place is definitely not the best for those who have ADA needs.

My friends and I stayed at Oakland the night before our friend's wedding. Her wedding was at the venue the next day. The house and the grounds are beautiful. But the service was even better! I literally felt like I was at my own house the whole time. I would definitely recommend this venue to anybody looking for that classic, elegant feel.

Can not say one bad thing about this venue. Ann takes care of absolutely everything and leaves you nothing to worry about. We planned on having the wedding outside under the chandelier but it started raining and without any issues whatsoever they moved it inside the beautiful house. The reception in the barn is breathtaking and the food was delicious! All my friends and family could not get over how beautiful the estate was! Could never have asked for a better place to start the rest of my life with my husband.
