I am very disappointed with the quality of service and care I received from this Ford service department this time. I had used them in the past for warranty work, and I was happy at that time. This time, I guess, due to short staff, I was not getting updates on my vehicle for over 48-72 hours. This happened multiple times. I had to call and leave messages multiple times. Even sent emails, but no luck. They misdiagnosed the issue and completed work that didn't cause the issue and charged me over 1000. When brought back again for the same issue. Without proper testing, they wanted to charge another 1500 to replace another part that was not even defective. Technician didn't have enough knowledge to diagnose the cause properly or didn't trouble shoot it right. Took the car to another local mechanic I have known for years. He quoted 850 for the same job. But after testing the car, he said it was an electrical issue and charged me only 370. I am never going to use this Ford service again. They are unprofessional and lack knowledge and experience. They ripped me off for money and wasted 3-4 days each time the car was in their shop. If your car is not under warranty, don't take your car for engine related work or any complex work there. Their team had no clue for my cause and told me to replace parts, that were working fine. I am definitely going to dispute my charge.

What a horrid experience.Very rude service agents, used remarks like don't expect us to jump on it right away. There could have been a polite way of saying the same. Next they said we will call in couple of days. 5 days later - still no communication. When I called, they said your car is not the only work we have. I have other cars but what if this was the only car i had. How would I go to work etc. There are lots of other Ford dealerships around Houston. I am definitely taking my business elsewhere. Never Again here.

I’ve used Ron Carter Ford for 20 years but several years ago they sold and their service department is absolutely horrible now. Kept my truck for 3 weeks and didn’t repair one thing I had asked them to do. No communication from their service department. I literally had to drive over to get an update. Karen my service representative is worthless and lied to me repeatedly. I finally went and picked my truck up and have taken it to another dealer. I will not be back.

On Tuesday, August 22, I dropped my 2020 explorer off at Ron Carter Alvin Ford service department for a couple recalls, an oil change, and a concerning shifting issue with the transmission. Ron Carter Alvin does not do loaners, (which I was aware of and is fine), and I was told the services might take a couple days. The following day I get a text from the service representative, Doug, with a game plan on everything they need to do. He said it would be done Thursday, Friday at the latest. Ok, potentially a day longer than originally told. That’s fine, my husband and I have a baby, so we want don’t want the car to be unsafe. No word from them Thursday or Friday. I texted Doug on Saturday, no response. I called Saturday and they say it would be done by end of day Monday (so now a couple days turned into a week). I called Monday to get a status update. The service department advised that they don’t know what’s been done and they’d call me back before the days end. They never called me back. I had to call them to get an update to which they tell me EVERYTHING has been done except one thing (this wasn’t Doug but another representative). I called Wednesday and was advised that now they don’t know what’s been done because they can’t see until they finish everything. It’s now been 8 days since I dropped it off and I can’t go any longer without a car as I have errands and a family to take care of. I told them I would be picking it up Thursday regardless if they corrected the unknown “one” last issue. I called Thursday (8/31) morning to tell them I would be there by end of day to pick my car up. The service department advised that the transmission was “reset”, one of the two recalls were done, and they reset my back up camera. I get there and find out that they rushed an oil change minutes before my arrival. The screen was still black and not functional. Doug seemed to be just as frustrated as I was, because when the tech pulled up my car I saw the screen not operating and he thought it was fixed. My car was filthy inside with black marks all over my dash and upholstery. I left my car with a little under a quarter of a tank, and somehow when I got it it was 3 miles to empty! When I get home I realize my car is dripping oil on my garage floor. I also discovered they didn’t fix whatever is wrong with the shifting in the transmission because it’s still occurring. I’ve never experienced such poor communication, conflicting answers, and poor service with a business. I understand that things happen and some plans need to be modified. However, the blatant disregard for simple communication and flat out lying is unacceptable. I hope this isn’t common practice for Ron Carter Alvin, I’m beyond frustrated. Now I have to find another dealership that can actually fix the issues in a timely manner.

The Service Advisor was great! I was very pleased with the overall service. There was an issue after I picked up the car that ended up being unrelated but they immediately addressed it and even had the transmission Specialist ride in the vehicle with me to make sure it was fixed. I would highly recommend this Service Dept.

Mike helped me and my husband get our new vehicle. He made it so easy and knew exactly what he was talking about!! Highly recommend going to see Mike if you are thinking about purchasing a vehicle.

Took my vehicle in for a recall. They did a great job on the recall and Doug was a great rep. When I had taken several other vehicles in for recalls or repairs they had vacuumed the front floorboards but this time it wasn't done...it's not that I can't do it it was something that I noticed...

absolutely horrible service experience came in with an appointment to get a recall fixed at 10am, stood in front of the three advisors and waited for 10 minutes before anyone acknowledged I was there one of them finally asked if i needed help and i checked in and was told it would be ready that day. no response so i called them right before closing just to get an update and was told it would be ready the next morning. no big deal it happens. then again no response all day and then finally i call at the end of the day and get told "oh we dont have the part" why was that never communicated? then it was finally ready at the end of the third day when i was told it would be ready same day. horrible communication

Went in for an oil change and check voltage on my battery on Wednesday at 9am. Didn’t get my vehicle until Friday at 4pm. That’s only because I kept calling to get an update and they kept telling me they were going to call me back and I received no calls or updates. Asked to speak to a manager and was told they were no managers. Will not be back here.

On August 8, 2023 I took my Ford Edge to Ron Carter in Alvin to have an oil change and tire rotation. When oil change was done, Karla Wilson the service advisor said they could not rotate tires because they could not remove lug nuts. Apparently they were ALL swollen and couldn't be removed. Advised me to order new ones at price of $244.06, and I said go ahead and order. Said she would call when parts are in. On August 23, 2023 called and left her a message to call me. No return call from her. Tried calling again and went to voicemail. Then called service department, and they said they would check and call me back. No response!!! Worst service by a service advisor!!!!

Shadiest dealership I’ve ever tried to work with. If you’re trying to buy a car don’t even bother coming here. Managers and their salesman are full of BS. Contacted the dealership Saturday about buying a truck - agreed to come in Monday to finalize the deal. Truck was listed for 42,995 and then we’re told by the manager that it was 44k over the phone while trying to get paperwork sent to bank and that he “has the ability to change the prices despite what the internet prices say.” Oh and the cherry on top when we got my FIL to call, the dealership tells him the truck was sold Saturday. How are you going to have a customer come in Monday to buy a vehicle that was sold the day before????? This dealership and management treated us with such disrespect so PSA don’t waste your time because the manager and his stuff are incompetent

Purchased a F-150 Raptor from this dealership, and the experience was fantastic. My salesman Sebastian was very helpful. He answered all my questions and did everything he could to get the deal done. Financing went smooth as well. The managers were very helpful as well and were able to help get the vehicle to me. Very happy with the experience and would highly recommend.

Place is horrible. Took my brand new truck in for water intrusion said they couldn’t figure it out then randomly told me it was rear glass. They had it re sealed then two days later is pouring water in again. Come to find out me and my wife figured out it was the sun roof glass with a water hose after about 30 seconds.

This place is an absolute joke. Multiple times I've brought my f150 in for warranty work and it never gets fixed. They keep it for a week and claim that a sensor behind my rear view mirror is going out because of an aftermarket bumper. In addition my service engine light came on because I needed an oil change?? Had nothing to do with the ford app telling me the engine had a misfire... karla Wilson was my service advisor for the last YEAR while I tried to get this issue sorted out and the only thing more dumbfounding than her lack of customer service is her boss Patrick's incompetence. They literally didn't fix anything, and gave me my truck back with an additional sensor going off (in the windshield) because of an after market bumper, evidently. I'll never service a vehicle again nor will I ever buy from a Ron carter again. I spent AN HOUR waiting to talk to the service manager and In that time I repeatedly heard Karla and Doug laugh about how they weren't ever getting to customers till a week or so later because the dept is so mismanaged and the dealership is a joke, their boss is a joke and nothing ever gets fixed. They laugh about how often the phone doesn't get answered. Rest assured Karla is smoking plenty of cigarettes though. Breaks every 5 minutes. Maybe that's why nobody answers when people call. Maybe nothing ever gets fixed because the service manager is worthless too. Spent a ton of money on a loaded f150. I'll go gmc next time and tell everybody I know the same. Best of luck
