After moving away from Amarillo I’ve struggled to find an eye dr who has the same kindness and dedication to their patients that Dr. Weir has. I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Weir regarding concerns my previous eye Dr got my prescription wrong and issues with the contacts. She confirmed my concerns, explained why I might be having issues with the contacts I received and then fixed the issue by ordering me the right prescription and better quality contacts. After this visit I realized she’s worth the 3 hour drive to make sure I get the best treatment and best quality of products possible. I highly recommend Dr. Weir if you want a positive review experience.

My husband, my mother in law and I have been seeing Dr. Chafin for close to 15 years. We all absolutely love him. We are all elderly and mother in law has Alzheimers so it was very convenient for us to go together for our appointments. It seems there is a policy change in their office and they will no longer accommodate us unless we pay $50. Otherwise we have to make separate appointments on different days. Such an inconvenience for us trying to work around our schedule and other appointments. I understand the $50 is a credit on the books but Medicare pays our bill directly to them so that money will just sit there on their books. I understand implementing new policy with new patients. I don't think we - as long standing clients - should be treated this way. We have never missed an appointment. You have just lost 3 long standing clients.

Good doctor which is important, but the staff forgets to call or text you to notify you that your glasses are ready. I have vsp insurance so it usually takes a while to come in, however when I called 11 days after my appointment to see if my glasses were in, they put me on hold for almost 20 minutes and just never picked up the phone again. I had to call back to ask again. Just tell people yes or no and call them back. The glasses were there, not sure what all the communication issues are.

She is a very knowledgeable doctor and found a serious eye condition after a thorough exam. She’s always available for questions and has helped me find a specialist. She’s very thorough and takes the time to explain anything that you need.

I took my twin grandsons to their eye appointment and was so impressed with Dr. Weir and her assistant that I made an appointment for myself.
One of the boys is mildly autistic and can be a bit challenging, but they were better than great with both of the boys and were meticulous about their eye exams and somewhat unusual prescriptions. They will make sure to get your child, or you, the correct lenses for your eyes.

A very helpful, professional and friendly staff. Dr. Chaffin was very thorough with tests and made a right on diagnosis. A staff member, Gwyn Neal, insisted on driving me home because that day was rainy and my eyes dilated and I had walked there. Who does that?They are my new optometrists. Hope they stay in network. Glad to have them so close to home and to have them to he me keep my eyesight! Go see them!

I will not be going back here. The visit itself was fine but the issues started soon after. They will make you think you have a crazy medical issue with your eyes that requires additional testing and procedures not covered under insurance when in fact you do not. On top of that they will go back and forth with you about your contact/lens selection only to still deny you what you have wore for 8+ years. Lastly you will be paying out of pocket regardless of your insurance benefits. They will assure you have every evaluation that is not covered under your insurance plan without checking with you first. I do not recommend this eyecare to anyone!

Dr. Weir is absolutely amazing and has so much patience with my 6 year old son. I love how she takes her time building relationships with her clients and makes everyone feel welcome. Highly highly Highly recommend Dr. Weir and her expertise!

Used A.F.E. for several years and wouldn’t go anywhere else in town. Both doctors are great and the staff is very helpful and polite. They have a good selection of frames and always have contacts in stock when I have forgotten to reorder mine.
