This isn't for amarillo human services it's for AMW. I'd honestly never be the one to leave a poor review because not everyone is perfect all the time but I'm extremely disappointed. I was trying to adopt after a recent loss of mine. All was well through adoption process an the staff was kind an helpful an quick. I was thrilled to be adopting an was so ready to have a new baby to give a home too. Unfortunately within days of her being with me she was clearly sick an that night her spay incision opened up an her guts where spilling. She was kept in an area with no high jumping an alone with everything she needed. An I know her cut did not looked properly sealed when I had gotten her to begin with. I've had to spend more then I have an rely on donation to help with her surgery an treatment on top of this I will now be having to take my other cat in because he managed to get her sickness only twice as bad. Im so disappointed an disgusted with this experience. Please still adopt just make sure your baby is safe to come home. Or take them to a vet right after for a check up.

unprofessional and unacceptable. My coworker just asked for help because you know what? Life throws curveballs at you and nobody should judge anyone on their struggles. Shame on this business for judging someone for asking for help because God forbid were not all perfect. I don't care if I don't know her side. You're a business and calling someone a low life? She works full time you judgemental piece of trash.

These folks do so much for the animals of Amarillo. Please adopt, donate, visit and volunteer. I've coordinated with them in the past to pull several dogs for out of state rescues in conjunction with their neighbors at the Animal Services. This humane society does an amazing job at showcasing adoptable animals. Please help them in the battle, adopt don't shop.

They were running a special on adoptions for cats through the end of october. I was already planning on getting a cat but that made the decision much easier because I could afford it. Everyone I spoke to there was very friendly and informative

PetSmart supports shelter animals through donations and weekly adoption events. The cats are always there so you don't have to wait for the weekend to find a nice cat and give it a good home.
