I’ve rented through spare box in the past at a different location in Amarillo and was pleased so I find myself in need of storage again. I picked this location for the convenience but mostly because it had the lowest price. Well I know why now. The property is ok except there are NO LIGHTS. It gets dark at 6 or so, and I have very little time to access my unit before it gets dark and honestly a little scary. There are plenty of dark corners to hide in.
I’ve seen a few people hanging around the property on two occasions. Yesterday I went by and the front gate was wide open. I went in but never exited my car. It would be too easy to get gotten in that situation. So I left without the papers I needed from my unit. I plan on moving to a different location when I can time it right because they do not prorate rent for a different location. Another downside. Also the units are so close together it’s tricky maneuvering the corners without hitting a wall, and I have a small car.

I currently have a storage place rented with Sparebox Storage on the western edge of town and was needing an additional Storage space Closer in the city. Your representative on the phone (ANDREW) was super helpful in explaining my options and finding me the best storage size for the best price to fit my needs. The great thing is, I was able to set the whole thing up over the phone and was able to begin moving my stuff into the new storage the next day on a Sunday!
I almost forgot to mention that I also talked to another representative (AALIYAH) about a week before who also spent over half an hour with me on the phone locating empty storage units at your many various sites to help me pick out the best location and she was also great and extremely patient with me! So… Just wanted to say these customer service reps both were instrumental in helping me locate exactly what I needed, and made the experience, smooth and easy.
So kudos to Sparebox Storage and the Exceptional teamwork from your Helpful representatives. Quite happy with your services!!

I had a very excellent experience doing an emergency storage rental from SpareBox storage on Labor Day weekend 2024. I had to move a U-Haul full of furniture from Fort Worth Texas, to another city about 400 miles away.
While my helpers were loading the U-Haul, I was calling storage places in my new city. Luckily SpareBox storage was open that day, and they had the perfect-sized unit at a very reasonable price, much cheaper than the price I was paying for the same-sized unit in Fort Worth.
I was able to get the total rental transaction done very quickly and efficiently over the phone. It only took a few minutes to get the whole thing completed.
I spoke with 2 people on my call. One was a man who sounded like he was in India, and he was very helpful. Then he transferred me to a lady who I think was in the USA, to finish the transaction, and she got everything done very well. Both workers were very efficient and answered all my questions.
After 9 long hours, including 6 hours driving, we got to the StorageBox place in our new city late at night, just in time to unload our U-Haul. The unit I rented was the perfect size, and the instructions on how to access it worked perfectly.
This was a good experience, and I appreciate that StorageBox was open during Labor Day to help me rent a unit.
