I rented a car from the North Dallas area last week to drive to Amarillo, dropped it off at this location before it was due the following morning without incident. I was told that the deposit they held would be released back to my account that day. Over a week later and still no deposit in my account. I'm also trying to reserve a car to drive back home in some time in the next week, as my family emergency has ended, and this location, that I turned the car in to, is sold out every day for over a week. I've tried the airport location as well, sold out.If I don't find a rental car soon I'm going to have to pay a small fortune to fly. Avoiding paying a small fortune is why I drove and returned the car after one day, and planned to do the same to get home. This is so frustrating.

The vehicle itself was okay. It was comfortable and got us to where we needed to go. The customer service was hit or miss. We dropped our vehicle off in Douglasville and Mike and John work there. They were nice enough at first, it seemed like they were helpful but the advice from Mike to end our current contract to start a new less expensive one backfired because we were unable to get the new contract started so we left without the vehicle we had rented that we had paid for until the following morning. Our vehicle had broken down and we were waiting for a new part to arrive and we ended up with no vehicle because of this. We have twin toddlers and we just relocated to the area and are staying at a hotel. We don't know anyone here. Thankfully someone offered to give us a ride back to the hotel. We rushed to get everything out of the rental vehicle. I realized a couple days later that I had left two necklaces in the rental. One was made by hand by our oldest son and the other was picked out by two of our older children for a birthday present. It said "mom" inside a heart. We called Avis and John told us that the car hadn't been cleaned yet and he said he would get the necklaces and we could go in to get them. When my husband showed up in a uhaul rental we got Mike said no one had gone through the vehicle and that it was filthy and he was very irritated about that. First, he was not telling the truth due to lying or lack of communication but we know for a fact the necklaces were in there and John said he would get them for us so John went through the vehicle. Second, it was very unprofessional and rude to react negatively to the car having some trash and crumbs left in it. We would have cleaned it if we were able but because the advice Mike gave us failed we didn't have time to but Avis pays the workers to clean the vehicles too and the mess was typical toddler mess. We had driven from New Mexico to Georgia in the vehicle while our broke down vehicle got towed..it seems normal there would be some crumbs and some wrappers. We will try and wait to see when John is at work again to see where he put my necklaces. It isn't about the monetary value of the necklaces but the sentimental value. This is very sad and upsetting for us. We were already inconvenienced when we were unable to start the new contract despite having over $5,000 in our checking account and having been able to start the first contract just a week prior but we just accepted it, however, we will not just accept these necklaces disappearing and the lack of kindness regarding our situation. We are looking at what steps need to be taken to talk to corporate. This has been difficult for us but now things are getting very hurtful and people are being very unprofessional. We are paying customers who paid over $1000 for a rental and we were planning to pay more before we were sent away with no vehicle.

On taking a family to the airport Avis to pick up a rental after their car hit a deer at 5 am, they had to go to the Avis in town on I-40. The staff at the I-40 office was very helpful in getting a car 30 minutes before they closed and getting the family on their way.

I was able to reserve a car today (9/12) at 10:00 am. I walk into respected Avis lot to find out there are ZERO cars to rent out. Computer stuff. Shoulders slump in defeat .Due to circumstance beyond Brandi and Sherri’s control(the Avis CSR’s)are then armed with the unfortunate task to inform me there were no cars for them to rent out because other pious customers who have yet to return their cars upon agreement. A bind ensues. Luckily, part of my string of bad luck resulted in Brandi & Sherri having a car that just so happened to have to come back to Dallas, on a one-way trip. I too, am traveling to Dallas on a one-way trip!Relief and excellent customer services allows me to hop in a car and make it to Dallas! Don’t blame the person who is tryin to help you. I have always been an Avis dude. And, will stay an Avis dude.Totally recommend!

Unfortunately, service was terrible on this visit to Avis. Only one person was there to provide service. Consequently, she was stressed and quite unhelpful. Inventory was practically non-existent as well, but current market conditions have caused this problem at all the car rental agencies in town.

Suffering from a vehicle shortage, and an enterprise monopoly Davis is this towns, saving grace. I’ve never rented much from Avis. I’ve always rented from enterprise, but now I will change that Avis supplied a rental vehicle worked with me, and was very, very, very pleasant. This made my experience amazing since I was stranded without a vehicle due to troubles with mine thank you Avis for being the best rental agency in town and lightly in Texas because this is not my first issue with trying to get a rental vehicle!

Worse place ever to rent from. The guy is rude. He will try and charge the cleaning bill for any thing. I vacuumed my rental out and cleaned it very well before I returned it. Glad I took pics. He tried to charge 450$ extra dollars for cleaning.. and the normal charge says its only 250.. he's a dirty business man.. go some where else is what I recommend.

Excellent Service.Above and beyond very friendly.Had to get a Car due to bike issues so Reserved online and picked up in the morning.Off to FL
