Owner is horrible and doesn’t understand personal space. My boyfriend and I came in to look for prom items because it says prom on the outside of the building and there were plenty of other teens in the store when she came behind us and got into my boyfriends face asking what we were doing in her store??? Specifically asking him why are you in my store quite loud it was embarrassing and we decided to leave and she followed us out of the store. We were not loud or touching anything we simply just walked in and we’re looking around we couldn’t have been in the store longer than 5 minutes.

Honestly i’m only giving two stars for the nice employees. when i went to pick out my dress it was great found exactly what i wanted but when we went back for fitting we’re told seamstress wasn’t there so they pinned it themselves then when we called back about our final fitting said they couldn’t give specific time due to seamstress being sick which is fine however communication was lacking and if we had not called i’m scared they wouldn’t have let us know until week of wedding. got to new seamstress and found several holes from first initial fittings with nothing we could do and also the bottom of dress was very dirty even thou i had only been in it in clean shoes for fitting. very disappointed in lack of communication a professionalism would not recommend them! however the younger associates were very nice!

My daughter and I purchased her bridal gown from Brides. When we were supposed to have our "first fitting," I called the morning of the appointment, and the store said they could not do the first fitting. If I had not called, they would not have let me know about the cancellation! My daughter and I took off work to be at this fitting! The store tried to accommodate us and had one of the ladies in Brides go ahead with the fitting. When this lady put the straight pins in my daughter's $1800.00 dress, holes were in the dress from the straight pins. When I called for the final fitting, the store could not accommodate us for the final fitting. I went to Perfect Fit, and as my daughter was putting on her dress, I noticed several holes in the thin lace! I was distraught! And, also, at the bottom of the train, underneath, the dress was DIRTY@!! Please do not use this store. When I purchased this dress, I was under the impression Brides would be ordering my daughter a NEW DRESS, not the one that had been on the floor for a long time! Perfect Fit cannot fix the holes in the dress! I spent $1800.00 on a dress that is not worth the money!!! DO NOT SHOP HERE. Go to David's Bridal!

I didn't even get around to trying on dresses because the attitude of the owner was so rude and repulsive. My family had driven and flown across the state to be here with me for wedding dress shopping but the owner would only allow two people in to see you try on dresses, even though almost everyone in our party had already been vaccinated and would also wear masks. This is long after the state had already lifted the mask mandate anyway, so I asked why if everyone but one person is vaccinated and masked is it a problem, and she dramatically swooned and said "she'd been personally touched by the virus in her family" -well yeah, not to belittle anyone's loss but haven't we all? We've lost many family and extended family members. But it wasn't the answer she gave that upset me of course, it was the overly-dramatic and obnoxious production she made of the answer as if she's the only one who has experienced loss and how dare I even inquire about bringing my group. She then told us that the other people in our party could sit in LAWN CHAIRS on the front sidewalk and look at the dresses through the window. Tacky. The first time she finally put on an air of customer service and caring about our business at all was as we were walking out the door. All in all, it's her business and her right to have whatever policy in place she wants, but seriously don't make a big dramatic production about it. And don't expect that it won't turn people off of your store when you knowingly make the experience miserable and difficult on an already stressed out bride. I have a feeling that if this wasn't one of the very few places to shop for wedding dresses in Amarillo, they would've long since been out of business.

0 stars if I could. Please read these reviews. This place is awful. My wedding dress slowly ripped all night. We paid over $500 if it to be altered and it was a waists of money considering it ripped. The red headed old lady is very VERY rude. We were told alterations were included in the price and that was the deal breaker for buying the more expensive dress. Later she called me a liar saying that was never said. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone in a million years.

The employees were all so nice. They didn't make me feel rushed or pressured in to anything specific. I said yes to my wedding dress and it couldn't have been a better experience

Really wish I had read the reviews before going here. The girls that helped me were lovely, however I had to ask the manager a question. She was awful. I asked a simple question as to why my niece couldn’t come in. I followed Covid policies because I always do. It’s respectful in my opinion. There policy was no kids which I understood. However when I arrived, there was a group of 8 people and 2 kids. One was not wearing a mask. So I asked if my niece could come in. I was told no. I tried to enquire about the large party and the children that I just saw in there. She put her hand up cut me off. And said “No, this is my store and my policy. And Covid you know.” Then she continued to speak to me ask if I was a child. If I hadn’t been in total shock of how I was treated I would have left. I tried on a few dresses but couldn’t shake the bad feeling so we left. I cried when I got in the car. This was heart wrenching because I was so looking forward to dress shopping at numerous places. Planning this wedding has been less desirable due to family matters. I wanted to feel beautiful. And I did at David’s Bridal. Those ladies are fabulous. However, my experience at brides will forever have put a damper on the memories of this day. If you want the boutique experience, try Ruthette’s in Canyon. However, I’ll say it again.... the ladies at David’s Bridal were superb!
