Rented a truck a week in advance. Showed up to pick it up and was told no trucks available. Giant waste of time and almost screwed up our entire move. Thank goodness Uhaul was available and very professional. Never again.

I was in desperate need of a rental, as my car had broken down driving through Amarillo. This was the only location that had cars available that day. Cost was twice as much as others nearby, car was dirty inside (dusty and sticky on console) and had obviously not been cleaned recently, never mind disinfected. This is all during the COVID outbreak, and employees were NOT wearing masks. I returned next day when I found another car for less than half at Enterprise. In my haste to return car, I did not fill up gas tank. I expected to pay more for the gas, but it ended up being 24.64 for 3 gallons of gas! This was a very unpleasant experience, and I will never again rent from Budget .

Buyer Beware! Do not rent from Budget Car Rentals in Amarillo! If you reserve a car through their company website, they DO NOT honor those prices. They said that even though they carry the name and the logo of Budget, they can charge whatever they want because they are an independent family business that does not follow the policies and practices of Budget Car Rentals. There are 633 complaints on the BBB.

Please put the correct address on the key chain. Accidentally went to a different airport because of it. Also, gave me a cheap car where you had to manually roll down the windows and personally lock and unlock each door since there was no unlock button in the car.

Had to wait for an hour for the guy to show up. They lost my reservation. And finally, they wouldn't accept my Visa card when I created a new one.
