I went in to rent a truck and there was a gentleman there by the name of Brian and his attitude was so genuinely upbeat and positive and just have a great day it was unlike anything I've seen anywhere around here in Amarillo and I absolutely loved it it made me like that place and I probably will never ever go there but if I ever need anything like that I know where I'm going it was just too great of an experience just to meet that gentleman.

Do yourself a favor and AVOID the 34th Ave. location at all cost - I laughed aloud at the ratings (from 4 years ago - clearly different staffing) indicating "great" customer service. I have personally dealt with customer service across cultures in more than a dozen nations over the last 20 years. NEVER have I experienced such poor, pathetic, unprofessional non-service as on June 18, 2022. It's not only that having a confirmed reservation with appropriate confirmation #, etc. we called to ask a simple question prior to picking up our confirmed truck rental... only to be told they don't actually have a truck....BUT the dismissiveness of Brian, the so-called official "Budget Rep" was beyond unprofessional. It was inexcusable and frankly, unacceptable. I'll save the details for the formalized complaint that will be submitted to Budget Corporate on the 34th Ave location and very specifically their so-called "rep". For the purposes of this review, suffice it to say be aware... If you ask any questions, if you have a confirmed reservation with appropriate documentation, if you are highly experienced in rentals, and have EVERY justified reason to then express frustration....at THIS location expect the attitude of the Budget "rep" to be "sucks to be you.....I can't help nor will I make any attempt to help find a solution." They will not contact you. They will not make any attempt to assist. They will devalue your worth as a customer. They clearly do not care about having your business. They don't give a rip about you. "They" being Brian - the one who gets a paycheck to represent Budget. Do yourself a favor up front, make your reservation at the 45th Ave at Canyon Expressway and ask for Tino. He went above and beyond to right the wrong of the apparent availability issue at the 34th Ave location and he certainly handled the customer service side with the professionalism one expect in this type of industry and situation. Thanks to the Budget Corporate Inventory Manager doing what Brian could have done if he gave a rip about assisting, we EASILY picked up a truck at 45th instead of 34th. Any so-called rep of a company seeks solutions when inadvertent issues arise. They proactively reach out to a customer and find any way to be of assistance. Brian had zero interest solutions. That was clear. He also made it very clear he was much more interested in making sure this customer knew it was our problem, it wasn't of his concern and he was not about to do ANYTHING to determine what happened or to seek a solution. His attitude has no business representing any company in a service-oriented industry. Tino at 45th Ave is a rockstar for Budget Trucks. Brian at 34th Ave really has no business representing any company. Not if they want credibility and satisfied customers anyway. Good luck, All.

Rented a truck for a residential move. Went to pick it up, and they tried to give me a larger truck. Ended up with a cargo van. Unlimited miles at no charge. Tried to rent a cargo van again (because all of load didn’t fit the first time), and manager “Brian” said none for rent and charge for per mile driven. Something is not right.

Beware of these guys! They will run up the price on parts to the point it's ridiculous. Brought in my toro weed eater a month ago to get looked at, I had previously cleaned the carburetor to see if that was the problem and still didn't have any luck myself. Thinking at that point it was something that I couldn't fix myself I had to pay the 55$ charge to diagnose the problem before actually fixing the weed eater. Since they told me the 55$ would apply to the bill if I decided to fix it I agreed. They call back two days later and say I need a brand new carburetor and a spark plug. Then they hit me with a total price of 250$ to fix it my original 55$ plus an additional 195$. Keep in mind the weed eater brand new is about 150$ or so. I ask how in the world is that possible?!? He explained that a new carburetor itself is 135$ plus all the little gaskets etc were 5$- 15$ a piece and then a one hour charge of labor. B******** I went to amazon bought a carburetor part kit for a whopping 29$ shipping included. Took the 3 bolts apart slapped the new one on in about 10 minutes and boom my weed eater was off and running no problem. I understand people need to make money but they shouldn't like that scamming people for the 55$ non refundable diagnostic charge. Find somewhere else to get your equipment fixed!!!

When someone books a truck. Itd be nice to be able to pick it up. Instead they call you the day before and tell you its unavailable. Horrible!!!

I do not have a question. I am putting in a complaint. Oh 8/10 we rented the truck from Amarillo Tx. We advised them we were moving and driving straight from Amario to Pflugerville Tx. From my impression knowing someone was driving over 400 miles to a destination I would of made sure my equipment was up to par to handle that drive. You failed to do so as a company. Thanks to your company's negligence it resulted in the lugnuts coming loss on the trailer. Lucky enough I was in

I own my own business and I am often needing to rent equipment.. When I need a tool I can rely on this is where I go. There is always great service and very friendly people. If there has been an issue with a piece of equipment, which has been very rare, it was taken care of quickly. I always recommend them to people that need rental equipment.

Friendly and helpful place to rent a moving truck. They were much cheaper than UHaul for a one way trip to Austin.
