It had a refrigerator refrigerator in it a kitchen sink kind of place cabinets with toaster Etc in it and a shower and it also had a stove.
This would be a good place to stay if you're going to stay in one location for several days and eat some meals and make some in your room

I always trust IHG brand hotels when traveling. I picked this because I needed to have a fridge for items on my cross country trip. I am used to doing Holiday Inn Express. So the only cons I had were
1. No breakfast....they have a pantry with snacks, coffee and oatmeal. I miss the hot breakfast that Holiday Inns have.
2. The room was a little dated. It was clean but could use a face lift. The Holiday Inns I stay at have been freshly remodeled.
I did like the kitchenette area. Comes with microwave, counter stove, fridge, dishwasher, and basic supplies like silverware and cooking supplies.
For the value it was affordable and the property clean and well lit for my car to park safely overnight. Mostly construction workers staying there. And plenty of restaurants and stores around.
I would definitely consider staying here again.

I truly wish I could leave zero stars. My stay at Candlewood Suites in Amarillo was by far the most disappointing hotel experience I’ve ever had. The entire property was filthy—from the floors and walls to the beds and elevator, nothing felt clean. The room we were first given hadn’t even been serviced. The bed was stripped, the trash was full, and it was clear no effort had been made to prepare it.
After complaining, we were moved to a second room, which was only slightly better, but still far from acceptable. We had to change our own sheets because they clearly hadn’t been replaced. We had to get our own cleaning supplies to clean the bathroom and counters. The room reeked of cigarette smoke, despite being labeled non-smoking. And if you’re expecting amenities—don’t. There was no coffee machine (it was broken), no breakfast, no pool, and certainly no sense of hospitality.
To make matters worse, there was loitering outside the front entrance, which made the place feel unsafe and uncomfortable, even if technically beyond the hotel’s control.
I’ve stayed in many hotels over the years, and this was hands-down the most disgusting and unprofessional of them all. Candlewood Suites needs a complete overhaul, from cleanliness to customer service. Until then, I would strongly urge anyone to stay elsewhere.

The room was great, service was good, and bed was AMAZING. Perfect location. This hotel will be where we stay from now on when coming through Amarillo. It was a wonderful night's stay.

Call this place Grand Theft Auto hotel- Honestly don’t stay here. Just cancelled my reservation for the night after reading about all the CAR THEFT. Called the front desk and she said, “all our cameras work, there has been no theft.” Girl I got the police report right here. 🚩🚩🚩🚩

Our truck was broken into overnight and police officer said it happens at this location a lot and the video cameras are terrible quality. This was second time staying here in a week and the first night was a huge storm. There were others broken into that night that we did not know about. The owner does nothing about it. The front desk clerk offered to call the police. Thirty minutes go by and we ask if they called and they said, no you need to. Terrible service. Do not stay here. Choose some place with active security.

I can’t say enough good things about my experience at Candlewood Suites Amarillo-Western Crossing. I arrived late one evening with my family and was met with nothing but kindness and exceptional service. The owner, Shrine, and the front desk manager truly went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. They found us a room quickly, and it was spotless—comfortable, quiet, and perfect for our family’s needs. That level of hospitality is rare and incredibly appreciated. I’ll definitely be staying here again whenever we’re in Amarillo. Highly recommend!
