A cross-country move from California to Connecticut turned into a disaster when the transmission temperature gauge started spiking on our Denali. Of all the places we could've broken down, we ended up in Amarillo, TX. Let me also mention that we know NOBODY in Texas. My wife looked on Craigslist & on Facebook for someone to come look at the problem. Mind you everything we owned is in this vehicle. She found Dustin. It was going to take a couple days to get the part we needed to rectify the problem (it was the weekend.) OK, luckily I plan for worst-case scenarios & our stay in Amarillo was extended. Never did get to try Whataburger.A couple days later, the original problem was fixed & we were on the road. & then the new, unrelated problem roared it's head. We were stuck 70 miles outside of Amarillo. We called AAA to get us towed, but we couldn't get my entire family in the tow truck. The people at D/C not only came to get us, but took us so we could have dinner, AND took me to the airport so I could secure us a rental car.Initially the thought is that the transmission went. That's what the symptoms pointed to. So that's what I prepared for. D/C presented me with various options on how to proceed from a Jasper tranny, a reman, or a junker. Now I work in the automotive repair business &, unfortunately I personally know the horrors of a bad diag turning into a nightmare. & I've seen what happens when a customer drops thousands of dollars in repairs.....just to have the original issue not resolved. Not Dustin. I had my mind on having the transmission replaced. Dustin continued checking the vehicle out & it wasn't the tranny after all. It was the transfer case. New transfer case in, my Denali roars back to life, & zero regrets. None at all.The only think that is "bad" about D/C Auto is that they're a 27-hour drive from me. If I lived in Amarillo, I'd only want D/C working on my vehicles. Stand-up people, quality work, & now friends for life.I've written an essay for a 5-star review of D/C Auto & Diesel. This is the shortened version of all the good things I could say about them.

We had a mechanical issue heading to Dallas and no one else in the area answered. D/C Auto & Diesel answered and helped with an efficient and expedited manner, finding the issue and fixing it for a low price. Highly recommend for their services and are very friendly.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Dustin does good work for a good price but I leave it a one star due to his actions. We were sent there by a family member whom said he did good work so for about 5-6 months we’ve been going there to get our oil changed and he has helped us out putting headlights on and yesterday helped put brake light and turn signal light in for my wife, so the problem was a few hours afterwards he texted my wife and asked if she could call when she was not around me (husband), which in itself was weird to ask she told me right when he asked and we talked about it so she called trying to figure out what he wanted, she called and he starting saying how he thought all day about how beautiful my wife was and asking if I ever checked her phone then said that she should come and “hang out” as well as gave her the days and times HIS wife was not at their shop. It made her feel so uncomfortable that she called me crying about it cause that is uncalled for and VERY unprofessional to come onto a woman you know is married and disrespectful not only to my wife but his own wife. She has told me and I agree that we will not be going back there due to how uncomfortable and inappropriate that whole situation was.

Great guy and down to earth. He was straight with me on cost and worked with me thru text and phone calls to help me make the best decision possible regarding my vehicle. I will be using his services again, and I strongly encourage anyone else to give him a try.

The best that you are going to find. Was able to find the problem that other mechanics could not. Affordable and fair prices for top notch work. Had my vehicle in and out quickly. You will not find a better place to take your vehicle. Definately 6 stars on a 5 star scale.

I found DC Auto thru a referral and was in dire need of help at 3 PM on a Friday. The owner of the company took time to listen to me and not only showed me the utmost professionalism but also stayed (very) late and even over the weekend to get me back on the road. He even called in additional resources and shared food with me while I was stranded. I received much better service than I would have received from even a dealership and most likely any and every other shop who didn't have time for my issue, for at minimum, another 5 days. Although the building wasn't as established looking from the outside as other businesses, the caring and the service provided to me was exceptional and unusual. I would recommend anyone try this business before spending your time and money at any other area mechanic. I was very pleased and although I don't live close, I would certainly suggest this business to everyone. I wish I could have this experience at mechanics in my area.
