Save yourself the time and money and don’t use happy state bank. I have had so many issues. From checks not showing up in my acct. money I put in the at the self serve ATM not transferring. And now they took out $169 from my account and can not tell me why. Worst bank since bought out by Centennial.

We have banked with Happy State for as long as I can remember. My family is actually from Happy, Texas. The Georgia branch has really gone downhill in the form of customer service since being bought out. The male manager is rude, they leave you standing around waiting while they visit or work on things in their office. The tellers often act bothered while you are there to make deposits or do your banking. Today I finally just walked out. Rarely do they have enough staff to accommodate even the smallest group of customers at one time. We do a tremendous amount of business with this bank personally and on the business side. We are moving to first United. Today was the final straw for me.I never thought I would see the day we would bank somewhere else. How sad.

I've had my business account with Happy Bank since 2007 issues started last year with my account being comprised by someone internally...branch manager fixed it however pretty unsettling. Complaint about new ownership(Centennial ?) Is you can never talk to anyone on the phone...every time I've called I've never been able to talk to anyone. Will be moving my business to ANB.

Absolutely horrible bank now that they sold out to centennial. No accesss to your accounts, your loan officer, no one ever answers the phone. Absolutely horrible bank. Moving banks asap.

Had a friend who passed away recently with checking/savings accounts where I'm the executor and need to take over his accounts. Called the "branch" but no direct lines go into banks, they go to customer service in Arkansas since they were bought out by Centennial Bank who can't help me since death requests have to go to a branch. First time, CS forwarded me to a VM for Valerie (no last name). 2nd time I called, CS couldn't get through so they have to send an email to someone and I wait for a response. Odd that a bank that advertises itself as "local" with personal service but a customer cannot connect directly. We will see what happens next.

Happy State Bank has been great for years but this specific location no one ever greets you and/or acknowledges they are helping you in the drive through so you just have to sit there and wait until they say something or get the courage to call. I sent my deposits up (I had quite a few deposits) and sat for over 10 minutes without a word. I had no idea if anyone we working on them or if I sent the deposits into oblivion until I got the courage to call them. This has been the second time it’s happened. I never have this issue with all other HSB’s except this one. Please at least say “hello” or something so that the person knows they’re at a working drive through bay.

Online banking is such a frustrating experience. I just opened a saving account, I had to call to get help to figure out how to maneuver the online banking access portal because it’s so confusing, and I still haven’t been “approved”. I’m sure they will charge me for not signing up for e-statement, even though I’ve been trying for weeks to gain access to turn the feature on.

I love Happy State Bank and this particular branch is super friendly and always willing to go above and beyond.
