Make sure you see what you are paying for before checking out. I went in the store today for black Friday and the cashier named Chantal charged me for an extra item that I did not purchase or receive. I live three hours away so I didn't check the receipt until we got home. The item on my receipt doesn't have a description only an item number that is 34647705. I literally got charged 18.67 for an item I didn't purchase or receive and the item didn't have a description on the receipt. This is really sketchy for the cashier to do this. So once again please make sure the watch what you are paying for before checking out.

Sadly, I am forgetting the name of the manager (might have been Chantel?) but she and Keely (hope I’m spelling that right) took such great care of me while I was buying some gifts for my nephew. For some reason, two of the items I was buying were not showing up in the system, and they found a way to make it work so that I was able to purchase them and be on my way. They were extremely friendly, and when I noticed a button on Keely’s lanyard that I loved, they looked it up to see that there was one left and dug through the seemingly endless button bin to try to find it for me. They never did, and I had resolved that I would look at up and find it somewhere online, but then Keely gave me the one she had on her lanyard… It was so sweet and even though it’s just a button, that act of kindness meant so much to me. In the midst of how long and patience-testing my transaction was, they remained kind and help and I cannot sing their praises enough!

One worker in the store this afternoon (Monday, September 15, 2025). My family of 5 was in the store for 30 minutes at least. The entire time, the sales girl was at the back talking to two guys. Comparing tattoos, etc. Did not move so I could look at the earrings they were standing in front of, never acknowledged our presence at all. We found several shirts and other items, and stood at the check out counter for several minutes. The sales girl was still just talking to the two guys at the back of the store. She made eye contact with us several times, but never interrupted her conversation to come check us out. We finally decided she just wasn't interested in our money. So we left all the items and walked out. Although we probably could have just walked out WITH them, she would not have noticed. We luckily found the same items at Spencer's, and happily spent our money there instead.

Honestly everytime I go the employees are always so kind and helpful!! I just signed up for the membership because of how kind and respectful shilo was! He helped me save a bunch of money on stuff I was already planning on buying!

Cool Halloween review incoming… I had been on the lookout for a low budget bowser costume for hours around town all day. Finally, in Hot Topic, a young man named Shilo helped me immediately identify the last little bowser trinket in the store. While in line I overheard he had been there by himself because his assistant manager quit that day before even showing up. He has ran the store SOLO all day and it’s 4:30pm, on Halloween. He’s in there right now, holding it down with at least 6-7 customers. Get that man in upper management!

Love love love. Such great stuff for anyone and everyone❤️ I am 58 yrs old and I love all the items in this shop. Who doesn't like a great band tee? Or a sticker or 2 for your Jeep? Or cute jewelry? I have always always loved Hot Topic? I don't like going to the mall, but if I do, I always stop here!!
