There are more secure places to store your personal belongs than Longhorn Storage. We had our unit broken into and everything of value was stolen. The gate was broken for months prior to the break in. The thieves have access to the facility 24 hours a day. The camera closest to our unit was broken, pointing down not capturing footage. Drive through the site and you will see the broken hasp and broken doors. Hard to get a hold of anyone when you have issues. Save yourself the time and headache by keeping your belongings safe at a more secure storage facility.

I had a unit here for several years. This place was fine until it wasn’t. As far as security goes there is none at all. The gate is always broken wide open allowing anyone to enter. The security cameras obviously do not work because the posts they are mounted on are broken and the cameras are facing straight down at the ground. Go drive around the place and you can see all the doors with locks that have been physically ripped from the doors as you can see from the picture. I requested a move out and was instructed to send them pictures of my storage unit that had been cleaned out. After I sent them the pictures they never responded saying that my move out is complete. This was over a month ago. I have sent emails asking for clarification and no one responds. I called and no one picked up or called me back. Whoever owns this place obviously doesn’t care about their customers. I would definitely go somewhere else if I were looking for a storage unit.

When we first moved to this storage it was great, clean, and secure. Now it’s under horrible management that does not care. The gate is always wide open. The weeds, grass, and dirt lot is all messed up, overgrown and under kept. Someone tried to break into my storage, it took forever just to contact the management to let them know, they said they would fix the latch, well half a year later that have done absolutely nothing. The break ins have only gotten worse, people have definitely accessed peoples storages which is sad. Good luck trying to get ahold of them because it’s almost impossible. They also worked out a payment plan with us but is now charging us late fees after previously discussing something else. After making payments they still hassle us for more money because they can’t figure out their system. Absolutely the worst storage in Amarillo!

*------------UPDATE-----------*AFTER GIVING THE REGIONAL MANAGEMENT TIME TO ISSUE REFUND WE HAVE NOT RECEIVED IT YET.. So, I'll go back to my original statement of DO NOT put your vehicle at this storage site. This was an inside job and they refuse to issue a $95.00 refund.. so IF management decides to do the right thing and give me my money, THEN AND ONLY THEN, will I delete this entire review..*----------UPDATE----------*After talking with regional management we were able to resolve this issue with them, and would also like to thank them for personally helping with this problem.We put our truck in storage here because of the reviews and because of the security of a gated and coded entry. It was in there 2 years as we worked during that time in various places out East. We only had 1 interaction with anyone when they called to say they needed to move it from one spot to another. My husband travelled by bus from MN to final get it out only to find it had been stolen from a "secure" facility. When? Who knows. The last time we were in Amarillo for only 2 hrs was in April of 2021 before heading back East.

I rented site unseen from California and stored my belongings here for three months total, after telling them I would need the storage for that long. I’ve never even seen the contract which they claim states they need a 10 day notice to vacate. That’s not my problem if they don’t rent it to someone on the first.Basically in lieu of the 10 day notice, they asked me to write a review on Google. They basically are EXTORTIONING me as you will see in the text. They also when is their unit spotless upon moving out, except for the fact that there is dirt blowing under the doors all the time. They said they will not release my contract without me giving them a review, so here goes.My FORCED REVIEW:This is a horrible place to store your stuff because there is no security and everything gets broken into here. Don’t worry there are new storage places being built all over Amarillo so don’t be Discouraged. Here’s the message from them.
