Google maps brought me here when I was looking for a truckstop with the shower. They say one is scheduled for the future but it definitely doesn’t have a shower.

Refuses to cash EFS with no reason given, makes zero sense just because I'm a local driver and didn't need to fuel or drive the semi up to the store that they just flat out refuse to cash the check. Happened on multiple occasions, would avoid this truck stop if at all possible since there's a new QT right up the road that was more than willing to accommodate my request and cash the check.

I am a 38 yr old, terminal diagnosis, ambulatory wheelchair user, which means there are times or days I have to be in the wheelchair because I can’t stand more than 45sec. And there are days I can stand up for 20min at a time. This Loves is right between my house and my parents house. I go to my parents nearly every day to do my water therapy. Since I’m in a wheelchair sometimes i forget my shoes. That happened tonight, it was around 11:45 on my way stopped to get some candy and Subway. I want to make this clear, they DO NOT HAVE ANY SIGNS UP, saying no shoes no service. Nowhere on the doors windows hanging from the roof, NOTHING. And I stop in this store every day. Sometimes multiple times a day. So me and my dad went inside they greeted us, I started to order this old lady come up behind me and says I can’t serve you with no shoes. You’ll have to leave it’s a violation of code. OK fine, but do you know how many kids and children and teen I see everyday going in with no shoes, In their pajamas and socks. Adults traveling do the same thing. so there were two white people working, But she literally took one look at my Mexican father who was with me in case I couldn’t stand anymore, and was right on us quick. The store had maybe 3 people inside, the young man was very pleasant, she first said maam I can’t serve you without shoes on, I whispered to her that I didn’t have any, trying to get her to lower her voice, it didn’t work. She said loud enough for everyone in the small store to hear, she made me leave the store when I told her I had no shoes. I know she can’t have known this but a lot of times it’s incredibly painful for me to even wear socks. My hands and feet swell up like ballon’s due to my disease.
I’ve never been more embarrassed in my life and I’ve fallen out of my wheelchair in front of 450 people. I understand it’s policy, but maybe a little bit of compassion could have gone along way. You know dang well the health department isn’t going to show up at midnight. If it was JUST a subway or they had their own chairs a walls around it I would understand but to order is literally in the front isle leading to the sodas! Luckily My dad stayed in there and called me and just put me on speaker. I had already told the man what kind of sandwich I wanted he was just getting to veggies. She startled me when she said very rudely tone, what kind of dressing you want. It threw me bc I was going to tell her the veggies I wanted so I paused for a min and she said “dressing!!) oh extra extra mayo on both please. Then I heard her start to wrap it up when the guy said maam did you want veggies? I told him what I wanted.
I should have just went and got in my wheelchair and said now I have 4 shoes.
On another note; when we walked in there was a homeless man sleeping in between the front glass door on the right and a trash can. I would think it would be against Loves policy due to liability issues but again here we are.
When I got home and stated to eat I had to open the sandwiches which were made upside down. Now I worked at subway in high school and I know meat goes on bottom veggies and cheese then dressing in between or on the top fold of the sandwich. She made a couple circles in the middle leaving about a half inch on either side which nothing but dry bread which I had to tear off bc it would choke me. My esophagus is destroyed and has a hard time pushing food down so it will get stuck in my throat or upper chest. Either way it’s incredibly painful, so I always use A LOT of wet condiments to bread so in can actually swallow it. She mockingly put two swirls on the bottom (inside)
I’m sorry, I’ve worked for subway,in a travel center myself, no less, I guess your standards have lowered.

So I have learned that Google review is a great way to help increase positivity in the world. Or by keeping people aware of who or what to avoid. That's still being a positive outcome for someone. So that being said. I have to say, one of your employees at the Loves on Hollywood rd, he assisted me at the subway. His name is Josh. He was a a positive person to have encountered tonight. He was friendly and helpful with my decision on what sandwich I wanted. I hope you guys show that particular employee some credit! Oh and btw Josh, the toasted rotisserie creamy Sriracha was a great decision!

After driving, 10 hours arrived to find super small tight parking spots for truckers. About 10 parking spaces.

The whole staff is AMAZING. I'm a motorcoach driver and we stop there from time to time. This place here is clean and the whole staff goes above n beyond customer service. I've been to other loves and I don't get customer service like I do at this location in amarillo at exit 115. Shout out to Chico.

Easy off and on from I-40. Not busy as it could gave been for small vehicle traffic. Truck traffic was brisk for fueling and for some parking for mandatory breakcin travel. Has amenities for truckers; showers, lounge for relaxing, watching tv or playing games during their downtime. Has a would selection for travelers of souvenirs, nice selection of easy foods to fix while traveling, limited choice of some fresh fruits. Nice selection of pre packaged foods of sandwiches, small salads etc, cheese and crackers, protein packs. Has a hot deli section for limited choices of hot quick foods like hotdogs, taquitos, sausage links. Wide selection of drinks from refrigerated case to fountain drinks. Have on site and other chain restaurant like Subway, pizza franchise or other food restaurants.

A brief stop at this Love's for a restroom break. It's one of the smaller sized Love's I have been to - the parking lot is not at all large but I did manage to find parking for the Sprinter van. Inside, the usual coffee with fixings, grab-and-go bunker of chilled food, snacks, drinks and yes, roller grill of hot dogs and similar tube-shaped snacks.Men's room was clean as was the parking lot. The place is just off I-40 so expect it to be super busy and take care.

If coming in a big rig from the south, going north, go past the light at the exit, for Truck Entrance. There was about 3 lanes, but be wary, because Class C license holders go through that lane, sometimes the wrong way, to put air in their tires!
