The rooms are so spacious. The front of the hotel needs a little bit of love but service and rooms are the best for a hotel 6 and they're dog friendly. They do add a refundable $50.00 deposit for pets.

The lady who waited on us was very nice and considerate. The bed was a little bit hard. But the rooms were clean.

The only good thing about this place is the price but you get what you pay for I guess. Walked in to strong smell of weed in lobby which contained down the halls etc throughout the stay. Loud most of the time and the doors to the rooms have big gaps as light comes on and so does the smells and sound. The floors looked like they used a dirty mop but missed some parts as there spots etc. The bed was hard as a brick and they only have a bar of soap and no shampoo in shower. Definitely in need of remodeling as bathtub was stained, rusted and the shower curtain rod was falling down so water got everywhere. Realized the next morning that the smoke detector was covered with a plastic bag so guessing a prior guest was smoking in there but housekeeping didn't remove it. Luckily there wasn't a fire with all the pot and cigarette smoking going on. They charge a 50$ deposit which I got back on one room but not the other so now have to struggle to get that removed. The one positive is there is a Starbuck next door which after tasting their coffee in lobby you'll want.

Motel 6 charged an additional $50 damage deposit at check in. A week later they still have it.

There was no hot water. We were not informed about it during check in. And, there seemed no hurry on the management's part to fix it or make it right for us. We had to check in to another hotel the next morning to take a hot shower.

The front desk was absolutely more than accommodation and pleasant to work with.

DONT NOT COME TO THIS HOTEL. DO NOT COME HERE. They are stealing from people, they charge extra rates arbitrarily, they refuse security deposits for using the towels they provide. They will change your rates for random reasons like 'spring break' No one is having spring break in Amarillo. They are beyond rude and disrespectful, they do not clean, your key will need to be reset daily and they will be rude when you try to get it fixed. The rooms are disgusting and never cleaned, everything was covered in dust when we arrived. We are checking out early to escape anymore unneeded charges that they can come up with on the spot.

I stay at this hotel in the past with no problems. My most recent stay has been the biggest disappointment in my life. The front desk people act like you should NEVER ask them a question. Also if you cancel a room they play games and lie about the manager going to take care of it. It has been five days still no response or refund. For the owner of this place these people are driving your business down and are stealing your money. The desk person told me the manger was supposed to come back and clock out but was not at the job.
Was paying for five rooms.

Just a word of advice to anyone who needs to hear this, if you ever rent a room at the motel 6 on *Hollywood Rd*, dont use the towels if you think there is a possibility that you might stain them, even with something that can be easily washed out. I had spilled one of my makeup bags and made a mess, which I then used a couple towels to clean up because I didn't wanna leave the room messy or anything, the makeup that was spilled is washable and comes out easily, so I didn't think it was a big deal to use the towels to clean it. But the lady at the front desk used the towels as an excuse to refuse to give me back my deposit when I checked out. What was I supposed to do, leave the spilled makeup mess behind? Then she would have used THAT as an excuse to keep my deposit.
Literally because i got makeup on the towels when I used them to clean their room.
I left the room spotless, I had cleaned and taken the trash out and everything so that it would be easier on housekeeping. All that was awry was that 2 small towels had makeup on them, which is washable and comes out easily, and the only reason they had makeup on them was because I didn't want to leave a mess behind in their room. I left the room cleaner than it was when I got there. I didn't cause any problems while I stayed there, I was very quiet the whole stay, I was polite, I was kind. And she wouldn't give me my deposit back.
I think she just wanted to pocket the money tbh, if the towels appeared clean then she would have made up a different excuse.
I had liked the room I had and wanted to stay again sometime, but now I never want to go back because that room was not worth what I ended up spending on it, in the end. I will have to warn everybody I speak to in and out of town to make sure to avoid ever renting there because YOU WON'T GET YOUR DEPOSIT BACK REGARDLESS AND ITS NOT WORTH IT, AND THATS 💯
I'm going to make some calls to see what can be done, because honestly, I needed that money that she just withheld from me 🥲🙁 I'm struggling, like barely surviving. I DONT deserve to suffer more just because she wanted to be triflin.

definitely dont use the towels that they provide (that they legally have to wash anyway) to clean up any messes in your room, they will use the dirty towels as an excuse to keep your deposit.

Required an extra $50 deposit upon checking in. None of the other Motel 6 ever did this.
Also, only 1 bath towel is in this room and the outside building door doesn't open with the room key. Very inconvenient to unload or load luggage.

We rented 2 nights and regretted it as soon as we saw the stairs and room. If we weren't so tired we would have stayed somewhere else. When we got our room it was upstairs. There were sun flower seeds spit all over the floor and a THC gummy wrapper. The room was ok clean. There were foot and shoe prints all over the floor. The beds are hard as rocks, you don't get served any kind of breakfast, coffee downstairs doesn't work, NO shampoo or conditioner provided, and no one that knows where anything is. We only stayed 1 night of the 2 we rented, bc there was a strong smell of marijuana in the hall and by the door. I reported this as we checked out and was told no refund for the second night bc it was after checkout per manager. The stinky smell of drugs should have been enough for a refund. The manager said we should have reported it sooner, the smell wasn't there till right b4 we checked out. Good luck staying here, choose Comfort inn nextdoor. For 60.94 after tax was way over priced for this place.
