The most unprofessional salon I have ever experienced. They are not inclusive to the LGBTQ+ community nor those with disabilities. I will not be spending my money nor my spouses money at this salon. It’s unfortunate that a top stylist was fired for speaking up when she saw another human being treated poorly.

Bigoted, homophobic, ableist salon. I have had many problems at this salon with people parking in a way to restrict exit and access to my vehicle, but this experience was a first. I am a full time wheelchair user, and because this person parked like this, I had to jump a curb to gain entry to the building. I am a disability advocate and spoke directly to the woman about her mistake, and asked her to do better next time. Thought it was resolved, went on with my haircut, and onto my errands.
Two hours later, her stylist Tara Childress contacted me telling me I needed to let the employees handle the matter. She said I was out of line, loud, and unprofessional. Speaking over the blow dryers in an open salon passionately, others heard and became uncomfortable. Yet, not one person addressed this alleged issue with to me directly. Sorry my volume wasn’t to your liking when speaking up about basic human decency.
It’s full of “mean girl” energy and unless you fit a specific criteria, you are not welcome.
Instead of rectifying my unnecessary experience, I am made out to be a bad guy for being assertive and saying something in the name of equality and justice. Which would have been cast aside and invalidated if I left it to the stylist to relay.
It is not unreasonable to want entry to a building for a service I am entitled to without unnecessary obstacles and oppression.
I am grateful I will never be returning to this salon.

Shear Elegance is superior! Mandy Spradling is who I saw and for someone as nervous as I am she did amazing! The color and cut is perfect and she really made me comfortable. Also, her station is very clean and cozy and she charges a fair price. I will be going back and seeing her! Thank you Mandy!
