This was a decent hotel about 4 years ago but it needs some major work. Carpet stained, bathroom needs remodeling and the most annoying end to my stay was finding a roach when moving the coffee maker. I emailed hotel management, sales and front desk letting them know problem but never got a response. I won't be staying at this Staybridge in the future.

Very nice and clean place (despite what other reviewers say). Excellent breakfast. The swimming pool from the photos seems larger than reality. But personally we had a very good time, the staff is very kind.

Highly recommend this hotel. Very clean and the staff cares about your stay. Special kudos to Shawna who runs the morning breakfast for hotel guests. She keeps the food options full, the coffee and drinks flowing and the dining area clean. She is also very nice to talk with before starting your day.

We stayed here one night last week on our way to Colorado. The staff were friendly. Rooms were clean and AC cold.
We didn't have any problems and felt safe the whole time we were there.

STINKS. Elevators reek of weed, the hallways smelled like a dirty cat litter box, not exaggerating. So gross…. The worst Staybridge Suites/IHG hotel I’ve been to. I felt dirty just being there. I couldn’t check out the next morning quick enough!

Got the 2 bedroom suite. Was very clean and no bugs in the room, no foul odors. Shared areas were clean and used the laundry room. Clothes came out clean. Think of this place like a Homewood Suites for longer term stays. People were placing large garbage bags in the hallway which was creating an undesirable odor. Told the front desk lady about them and she said she'd get them before then end of her day shift. The next morning, the garbage bags were still rotting in the halls. The breakfast lady on Monday morning was Great with an excellent attitude.

Pretty much your standard chain hotel experience, the only thing I can fault them for is that their address is 26 Western Plaza Dr but their parking lot doesn't have an opening to Western Plaza Dr, confused me the first couple times coming here. The hotel is only accessible from an unmarked service road.
Walkability: Lots of stuff within walking distance but unfortunately Amarillo's pedestrian infrastructure is abhorrent.

Nasty! Needs a major face lift inside. Public Bathroom on first floor had huge wallpaper chunk torn hanging down the wall. Beds were hard as a rock, room was dirty, couch was filthy and when we opened the couch for the pull out bed it looked like someone had peed on the bed multiple times and puked. Walls filthy from touching and chunks out of the bathroom door, tons of nics on all walls. Did I mention the odor in the hallways? I travel a lot being Gold Elite and I would rather sleep in my truck next time. I’m driving so I had my wife write this review for me, thanks for reading and I hope it all gets addressed - Mark Whitley

Great price. Room was large and clean. Pet friendly which was good when traveling with 3 dogs. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was delicious!! Would 100% recommend!!!

Whenever the bathroom lights were on, the ceiling made a horrid screeching noise. I also found two ants in my bed. I've been to Staybridge Suites before and thought they were great, but I can't recommend this location.

I'm getting really tired of the Staybridge line having pools and or hot tubs under construction and not making that public before I make a reservation.
This is the third freaking reservation in the last year like this.
So now you know. The pool and hot tub are closed at this location and the front desk staff seems uneducated as to why.
Noteworthy details: The pool and hot tub are closed. May 16th 2024. Nobody at front desk seems to know why, or when it will reopen. So if that's important to you, stay at the holiday inn.
