Don’t bother calling this place, no one ever answer the phones. They also refused to look into a missing package bc the driver marked it as delivered. So they pretty much said SOL

They lost a package that led to a dispute and yesterday they just threw my package on the porch. Horrible service of late.

Always have issues with this post office. Drop stuff off in the box when there is a long line and half the stuff gets delivered quickly and the other half don't even shows scans unless I scan them at the self service first. I also ship cards in envelopes all packaged the same and most get delivered and then I get some back saying they need more postage. Repackage them the exact same way and resend them and they have no issues. Very inconsistent post office.

RR carrier is constantly mixing up peoples packages in our neighborhood. Postmaster will not do anything other than say file an online claim. Then when I go to file a claim and get all the way to end, it says that it cant complete the claim right now and to try again later.

There should be a zero stars option. This is the worst post office I have ever encountered. They should be criminally investigated. They have refused to deliver my mail, they have tried to hold my driver's license until I agreed to sign a vicious animal letter, this is following an incident where a puppy followed my granddaughter out the door and was maced by the delivery person. Animal control investigated a few moments later and found the puppy was not at all vicious. They continue to harrass me by leaving vicious animal postcards in my mailbox when my animals are locked inside my house. The "supervisor" refused to identify herself and hid her name badge after I asked for her name. I had already read her badge. I had to threaten to call the police to get my driver's license. All of this has been reported to the postal authorities and yet it continues. I was told by another carrier that the carrier that maced my dog did so because he wants my route to be a motored route so they don't have to walk it. My neighbors experience similar harrassment but nothing is ever done with these carriers. I once saw a carrier on my camera attempting to deliver a package which contained a very expensive item I had ordered. I was not home to sign for it so she took it with her and left the note of attempted delivery. My package was subsequently lost and I had to file an insurance claim on the package. I know the package arrived in Amarillo because I saw the carrier holding it on my doorbell video. When they deliver packages that do not require delivery they pitch them onto my porch. Many items have been damaged. I have a small chair right under the mailbox that they could easily place items on and they don't.

Um. you quickly see why people think what they do of the postal atmosphere. Told the person at counter to add my return address to shipping label 3x... It never made it on label... Blank stare when I said "you didn't put my return address on it or..... " They checked me out," Next.... "....

I paid 27 dollars for overnight mail from Amarillo TX to Amherst TX. A 90 minute car drive or about 110 miles. It should have been delivered Feb 14 for her birthday on the 15th.It's now 6:26 AM on February 17th and she still hasn't gotten it. I will be getting my money back. The Pony Express was faster and more reliable.

I have lived at my current address for nine years. In those nine years, I have had the exact same mailbox (with a lock); my mail carrier has NEVER had a problem placing mail in this box the entire time I’ve lived here. Over the last year, I have noticed inconsistency with the mail carriers in my neighborhood. In the last week of December 2020, I experienced an issue when the mail carrier for that week began placing my mail in the mud at the base of the mailbox. I filed a formal complaint on the USPS website; a week later, I received a generic email from the USPS saying that the postmaster was notified and the issue resolved…yet I have no idea what was done to resolve the issue.Fast forward to June 2, 2021 when I received a formal notification in my mailbox from the postmaster at the Western Street location in Amarillo stating that the mail carriers were experiencing issues locating the slot for the mailbox; therefore my mailbox was “not an authorized mailbox” and the “door needs attention;” the issue was to be remedied by the end of the week. There were no recommendations for remedies. My solution: place a notification ON my mailbox informing the mail carriers where the mail slot was located, just under the eve of the mailbox “house” (see attached image).Over the next THREE WEEKS following the June 10th deadline to fix my mailbox, the mail carrier has not had any issues placing mail in my mailbox, until this week. Over the course of this last week, we noticed no mail being placed in our mailbox. When several packages from Amazon were not delivered, we looked at their status on the Amazon website; finding that the packages were mailed through the USPS, it indicated that delivery was attempted, but the packages were being held AT the local post office. I would like to note that the post office did NOT provide any paper notification in my mailbox or on my front door to indicate this; had it not been for Amazon, we would have never known.Today, July 10, 2021, my wife went to the local post office on Western Street to find that they had been holding ALL of our mail and packages because of the supposed issue with the mailbox…an issue I believed was no longer an issue, since we were receiving our mail up to this week! At 12:05pm, our newest mail carrier approached our house while I was outside in my yard; she confronted me to inform me that she was holding my mail because of the mail slot. She said the FORMER mail carrier (a month ago) had placed the mailbox issue notification in my box. She said, “I don’t know how they got your magazines in the box without ripping them”; the measurement of the slot is 9-inches by 1/2-in…plenty of room for mail AND magazines. I told her it wasn’t an issue for almost ten years; the new mail carrier then aggressively stated, “Well, I’m the new carrier on the route and it’s an issue for me.”I personally believe this issue may be retaliation by the inconsistent mail carriers in my neighborhood AND the postmaster for Western Street because of my complaint in December. How can my mailbox, which I’ve noticed A LOT of Amarillo residents have the same mailbox, all of a sudden be “not authorized” and a problem for placing mail when an issue never existed for almost a DECADE?…not to mention it was never an issue for the former tenants of this address.
