We have been with Independent Financial since 1999. This week, I went to open an IRA, and dealt with Meagan Maxcy. She was so helpful and knowledgeable. She spent so much time with me, explaining my options and the interest rates offered for different accounts, and going through all of the best options for our accounts. She really went above and beyond answering all of my questions. I can't say enough about how helpful and patient she was.I have never had any problem with Independent Financial in all of the years that we've used them. It is also helpful to me that they have so many locations in different cities in the area. We will definitely be using them going forward! I would recommend them highly.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! Do not waste your time at this branch. My husband has been cashing checks from his employer at other Independent branch locations for years with zero issues. Today he was in Anna and decided to use this branch. They refused to cash any of the checks because they couldn't get his employer on the phone. The manager made up the most bs excuses for them to not cash the checks even though we've done it at other branches countless times. She even stated that the ink was different on the checks. Yes, the accounting department wrote them, the owner signed them. I know a lot of business owners who don't write their own checks, but sign them.

Can’t access my safe box, cash advance, and other business needs because the lobby is closed on Saturdays. We will close our checking, savings, custodial and box to take somewhere else.

I will NEVER do business with Independent Bank of Anna. We went to open a business checking account to have a local account about a week ago. Rep said we needed to have a Collin County business license for our incorporated business. I disagreed but went to Collin County. Collin County confirmed that they stopped that in 2019. I purchased the license anyways to make them happy. I went back today with everything in order including a typed sheet of pertinent info like business address, business office number, home address, etc. Hubby was on a Zoom meeting so he said he would go sign his paperwork after. They would not open the account until he signed. Ok. So he goes and they prepared the signature pages with all wrong info and said I would have to come back in to change it. What??? I gave her all documentation plus the cover page that detailed the info she had wrong. Hubby is hot and did not move forward with opening the account. They are IDIOTS. I have personally worked FOR banks in the past and have never seen a bank act this way to open a business checking account. Seriously! I will keep with Bank of Texas and BBVA in McKinney. I was trying to bring some business to Anna since I own a house here but ya'll make it difficult. #NEVERINDEPENDENTBANK

I had a the best experience at this bank and I don’t even bank with them. I was in a pinch and had left my bank in McKinney with out getting the correct bills 20s 5s ect. I was in a pinch and had visited three different stores to get change but couldn’t walked into Independent and the took care of me right away with giving me the “you don’t bank here” comment that every other bank gives you. I will be putting my business account here after this experience.

This is the worst bank ever in 3 months I have had my bank account emptied ( stolen ) and I have found out it is the banks falt. It takes them a month to return your money. They have no fraud prevention. Do not bank with this bank.

This bank has been awesome to work with! Mariah is a manager there and she always goes out of her way to help. I love having somewhere to go that has a small town feel with all the conveniences of a larger national bank.
