This was my favorite place in the world. I’m still confused as to why they shut this place down. I’ve gone there for 8 years. Even earned the camp name ‘Firecracker’. I will forever miss this place. Every counselor and camper will always have a special place in my heart. The first time I came here for jamboree, I cried the first night because I missed my mom. My counselors comforted me and let me call my mom. Forgot about being homesick and decided to have fun instead. I will miss everything about this place.

A fantastic camp adventure place for the family and kids! Ms. Bug our Camp Instructor/Guide was wonderful, kind and patient with our group of kids. She’s very knowledgeable and takes great pride in seeing the kids have fun, a great outdoors experience and kept them on task to finish their assignments. Sad to see the camp close this Spring but Ms. Bug made it a super adventure for our kids! Thank you! GODSPEED!

Would be cool if some of the camp workers acted like they gave a crap. Specifically Karley.

This was probably one of the worst camps I've ever been to. Lots of concrete, the kids barely ate their food, the instructors spoke incomphrensible nonsense, the activities were boring, endless walking, and my kid was crying himself to home. Might need to tell you this was only in ONE day. 1 star.

hi guys! I just came from camp today. So firstly let’s get started with the outer part and the cabins. Depending on which cabin you have, (I got Crimson Clover), there is a circle shaped like grass field infront of the cabins with other cabins surrounding it. You can play soccer or race with people around it. Outside of the circle, near the cabins, there are benches you can eat on. Okay, now let’s talk about the cabins. In the cabins there are 6 bunkers for students (12 beds), and 2 queen or king sized beds for the chaperones. Next there is a bathroom which is actually pretty clean , and there are two showers and two toilets. Also, make sure to adjust the thermostat at night because it is FREEZING. Also please wear socks because the floor of the cabin is really dirty. The bed mattresses are so dirty because it has crumbs and stuff like that, even though you are not supposed to eat in cabins. I recommend bringing 1-2 twin sized blankets, 1 pillow, and a FITTED sheet!!! Okay now let’s talk about the dining hall, from the cabins to dining hall it’s pretty far (6 minute walk) to their from my cabin. But refill your water bottle at the dining hall fountains because I THINK it’s clean based on what I drank. You can also ask the dining hall staff for a water bottle and pour it in your water bottle. You will go on 2.5 hour hikes so be prepared! The dining hall food is a 10/10 because they have a drink dispenser (Gatorade, ice, water, lemonade and pink lemonade). At breakfast they have a fruit/yogurt/cereal bar which I loved. At lunch and dinner there is a salad bar. Okay anyways overall it’s pretty nice and all but the cabin floor and mattress floor is just eugh!! Anyways yeah I hope you enjoyed my awesome review!! :))

I am a 5th grader and went to this camp for our field trip and there were some good notes and some bad notes. First, let’s start off with the good notes: Upon arrival, we went to our cabins to leave our luggage and it was pretty decent. The food there is amazing and it’s homemade so I’m glad about that. We also got to do archery, canoeing, fishing, and hiking! Now, there are the bad notes: the cabins were dirty and the bunks were filled with rocks and dirt. The bathroom is horrid due to a lack of warm water, and many wasps and spiders welcomed us to our cabins. We also had to do a 2-hour hike, Which was super tiring, be for the hike, we had free time running and now hiking? Our counselor,Jayla was talking about how we were not taking any stops, and that was a HUGE LIE. The first 30 minutes were wasted by looking at useless trees and rocks. Also, before camp we looked at a policy paper explaining how we can’t bring phones, devices, and all that stuff, and that was pretty dumb. There was a boy with his phone in the cabin and no one cared! That’s all I have to say about this.

My son attended day camp for a week in summer 2023, which he enjoyed.
For summer 2024, he joined jamboree 4 and enjoyed it immensely. He is already asking to attend in 2025.

I don't know how this place is operational. Our cabins were FILTHY upon arrival: sand was CAKED in every crack and seam on the floor. Our cabin door had a trail of sticky goo running down it and it's been there for some time. The ceiling has a leak so I'm laying in my chaperone bunk with a literal wet blanket. The education experience completely depends on which instructor you get (no consistency). I don't know how the little water that is on site has passed anyone's inspection. The sites that actually do have water foundations are shut off and there's no water on the trails. The signs are few and far between, so even with the cartoon map they give you, it's super easy to get lost. This place is a SCAM and I just don't know how it's open at all.
