EXTREME disappointment in a customer service failure today/yesterday at the Aransas Pass Enterprise location.I am renting a car for my job, to travel out of town this week. I realized last week that my driver's license had expired on January 15th. I renewed it immediately online, and received a printout that stated that the printout, along with my expired license would comprise a valid Texas driver's license until I receive the renewal in the mail.I called yesterday (Monday, 2/19) to change my reservation time to 3:30 pm instead of 4:30 pm, and explained that I had a temporary license printout along with the expired license. The person on the phone asked if the temporary had a photo, and I explained that it did not. They stated that as long as the information matched with my physical expired license, they would be able to call a district manager and there should be no problem renting the vehicle to me.When I arrived at the Aransas Pass location this afternoon and explained the situation, Matt pulled out a laminated paper and went to the managers office. They conferred, and then Matt called a risk management person who stated that they would be unable to rent a vehicle to me with the temporary license and the expired physical copy, contrary to what I was told the previous day. I was confused at first, and explained that I had previously called and been told this would not be an issue. I asked to speak to the manager, but Matt refused and stated that the manager was in a meeting and there was nothing I or the manager could do. Matt suggested going to the DMV here in Aransas Pass and stated I'd need an appointment there but might be able to get a printed copy of the license they wanted today.I did drive to the Department of Motor Vehicles, but they were unable to assist without an appointment.I returned to the Aransas Pass Enterprise location and waited to speak to Robert, the manager. Robert stated that this has happened before at the location (and presumably others). This is a complete failure of your systems - when something bad happens to one person, that event should be examined and then prevented in the future. If there are different rules for renting at different locations or among different franchises, that needs to be EXTREMELY CLEAR to ANYONE who is answering phones for Enterprise. It is completely unacceptable that bad information was given, especially when I called SPECIFICALLY TO VERIFY that I would still be able to rent using the temporary license I have.Additionally, I am renting using a corporate account - I have rented from this location before for both work related and personal use. The fact that no exceptions can be made at the discretion of the store manager seems ridiculous. I would like to know what Enterprise is doing to ensure future customers are not given bad information as I was. I am fortunate that a colleague is able to come and pick up the rental, but I know other people are not as lucky. This is a systemic failure that should be addressed and corrected.

Robert the branch manager is extremely professional and helpful. I rent from here a lot because of his customer service.

Can you give negative stars?! I have had my fill of that place. They had me running around for two days telling me what I had to do and what they wouldn't do. But in the end I was told that I could not rent a car there. Before you go in there have your strong sedatives with you. "Customer service has left the building!!!"

After having my truck breakdown I called enterprise to request a vehicle. At first after arriving at the office there were no vehicles available. Someone cancelled and they asked if I would be willing to take that vehicle. It turned out to be a very nice vehicle. I ended up having to extend the reservation twice without any problems. I would recommend Enterprise to everyone. All of the guys at the Aransas Pass office are really Easy to deal with

I would not rely on these people to be helpful. They don't return calls when waiting on a rental( for a full 7 days), most days there's no cars available and if there's one in the shop they're too lazy to go pick it up (for like 5 days) worst enterprise service I've had ever, and I travel a lot.

Soo funny story I had a balance with enterprise which I tried to pay off multiple times well 6/8 because they over charged my account and put me into a negative balance I cleared that and paid it . But that’s a whole another story Robert the so called manager refused to allow my mother different household different bank account different insurance different person rent a car because I had a outstanding balance then we agreed to pay it he then turned around and said no matter what she did he wouldn’t rent to her ..remind you she was not even on my agreement don’t even have same address but he assumed same last name and color that she was affiliated with me ..discrimination on so many terms ..Robert is very rude
