Employees at this branch (Rockport) are very helpful. I never have to wait for long even when they are busy. They make me feel like family and not just a bank account.

IBC’s always solid. Everyone there’s cool, they don’t give you attitude, and they actually help you out without making things harder. Even when it’s packed, they move quick and keep it friendly. Never had a bad time here, for real. Appreciate the good vibes and smooth service every time I roll through.
❤️🔥💯

Waiting in line to cash a check and red headed teller and customer talking about everything but banking, children, others children, going out to dinner, shopping about the time I was going to explode drive thru teller lady came over and helped me. One person behind me, they were still BSing when I left and still one person in line. If she worked for me I'd fire her on the spot. Awful customer service, awful. Rockport IBC.

I’m first going to say if I was looking for a bank this would be the absolute LAST place - no I wouldn’t even consider it! The lady’s voice is pleasant enough when you can hear it, hardly never AND the wait time is the LONGEST and most ridiculous I’ve encountered in Rockport. Something is always broke down, whether it’s the drive through mechanism or their computers. It’s as thought the home bank could care less about this location. I only come here for my employer to make a deposit for those we do bookKeeping for and I’ve heard some say they are looking to move banks. It couldn’t happen soon enough as far as I’m concerned. I wrote this whole review and still don’t have my deposit slip back. Before I started this review they said they were starting on it. I bet there wasn’t 5 checks to deposit. RIDICULOUS!!

I come in to cash my work checks and I'm treated absolutely awesome. Even though I'm not a member, I'm treated as though I am one. One day I'll open up an account with this location.

I open an account at the Rockport location. The representatives were most courteous and knowledgeable. They answered all my concerns. A very welcoming atmosphere. I chose the right bank!

I am greatly surprised any positive reviews exist for IBC Bank. They are not honest when setting up accounts, telling you it will always be 100% fee free (outright lie). In fact, they will charge a monthly maintenance fee and they also want to charge fees for just about every service other banks I use offer at no charge. And if you are convinced to set up a second account so you have a "back up system" to prevent ever having an overdrawn situation, know they will lie about that too and claim that it was never set up that way, even if you had a super long discussion at the branch during account set up to verify how it would work, named it "back up account", and then parked funds in it solely for that purpose. And to add insult to injury, this account for which the whole purpose was leaving a back up system in place will be charged account maintenance fees. For what? They aren't having to do anything with it and wouldn't even do the one thing for which the account was set up. When you call in, rightfully upset and frustrated by the incomptence, dishonesty and theft, the "customer service" people will display absolutely zero empathy, not offer to help in an way needed and will tell you it's your fault (even though you went over the particulars with the person setting up your account AND the branch manager sitting in an office 20 feet away). So somehow it will be your fault that they failed to complete the account set up as discussed/clearly requested. The lack of care is so deeply ingrained that if you are quiet in sad desperation while on the call with them, hoping a few moments of calm will allow them the chance to come up with a solution or at least express concern, they will either simply sit there saying nothing or suggest they should end the call. For all my trouble, this bank has done nothing but treat me poorly and steal funds. In the beginning, I was so swayed by the marketing and lies that I was going to have other familiy members set up accounts with this bank. Now I am very glad that did not happen so they did not have the chance to steal money from my relatives too. It is my strong recommendation to run away from doing business with this banking operation as quickly as you can or just never start doing business with them.

Mrs P and I moved here from Austin exactly one month before Hurricane Harvey and chose to stay, having been thru Celia, Carla, Beulah, Allen and others. We've actually never left, and obviously know how to prepare for and survive a 'cane. We are Surfers, love Catamarans, and enjoy Fishing anywhere on the Tx Coast. If you're like us, you might understand why we stayed for Harvey. OR, you might think us totally InSaNe. Truth be told... It's a bit of both ;) Anyways... Harvey was a strange one as it seemed to almost die out completely just off the coast, then came back to a TS, then weakened again. On Aug 24th however, it went from TS to full 'cane, and the very next day slammed into San Jose Island as a Cat 4. Harvey went down in history as second only to Katrina in billions of damages. We live on the water, a quarter of a mile from "St Joe's" as it's called here. I can see the buildings on that island from our kitchen window. They're still under construction... IBC bank had one of the only ATM's that functioned after Harvey. It took a lot to get it up and running, and secure. Since other businesses/restaurants were closed or operating on a "cash only" system, this was a huge blessing for the entire city and surrounding area. If you banked here (we didn't at the time), transactions were free. If not, there was a charge, but it was cheaper (and safer) than all the nearby gas stations and convenience stores. Since everything in the area was heavily damaged, and residents had already taken up the nearby hotels/condos/apartments/rentals (even before the hurricane), companies that wanted to help rebuild the city found no housing for their workers. So they couldn't come. So it took forever.... Today everybody assumes that we're completely rebuilt, so no reason to come here and remodel, but there are many, many houses and businesses that are still in need of repair as I write this. And it's difficult even now to house up a crew(s); imho it will continue like this for years to come. Not kidding... The reason I mention all this is that ppl that aren't from here thought the city would be back in no time at all, or businesses would at least set up a tent/bring in a trailer (like Pizza Hut / Sherwin Williams did) to get back up and running. But I can tell you point blank that it took some homeowners and businesses over a year just to get their insurance money from TWIA. And Banks ?? Well there's no way they can be secure in a tent or a trailer. IBC did rebuild of course, and we started banking here shortly thereafter. Totally love the tellers and bankers, and the drive thru is spacious and easy. No long lines; plenty of room for even large trucks. Everybody is so friendly; after a few transactions they actually remembered my name. In Austin I think we were nothing more than account holders. The building is spotless inside and out; very clean. Grass outside always looks like it's just been cut. Multiple driveways in an out from two separate streets. Biggest thing for us I guess was Online Banking. We were spoiled in Austin; down here it's nothing like that. Online is a joke; almost like DOS lol. We tried two other local banks but finally came to IBC after I found an YouTube tutorial explaining how their online system works. There's actually tons of tutorials about how this bank functions. Surprisingly, no other local bank here does that. IBC's online banking rocks.
