AAA mode of operation: Their first response is to tell you that help will arrive in an hour. Then I received a text when the hour was almost up, to tell me help wouldn't arrive until 4 hrs later. How is that help? I had a flat tire and wasn't about to wait 4 hrs. High likelihood they would have pushed out that time also, because that is what they did to my daughter last summer as she waited in a parking lot late one evening with 2 small children, hrs after calling AAA. They didn't bother to contact her to tell her they were not sending anyone for many hrs, if at all. She eventually had to get alternate help, as did I yesterday. I see no benefit to having AAA. It's a scam as I see from the reviews on the BBB a website. This is the AAA pattern. They are pulling the same deception on many others. Years ago they did this to me as I waited in an airport parking lot late at night. Time to send help was also pushed out. Yesterday I googled and found a tow truck service that came to my car before an hr after my call. He gave me an estimate of an hour and beat it. No hours long delays. AAA has shown a pattern of not being a reliable source of help. I will be cancelling my membership. I rarely used them but when I called, I needed the help and got none. I would have given them "0" stars if this rating tool allowed it.

Went to this location hoping for help to plan a trip to Jamaica. Young lady spoke with me briefly, told her I had just received passport and had money ready. She took my name, number, and email and told me that she would send a link of some vacay ideas. It's been a week and I have not heard back. Not sure how much ready I needed to be!

I was stranded on HWY 60 Northwest of Alba, TX. Called AAA Road Service at 3:44PM. Called again at 5:14 PM to check on status of tow truck. Agent requested information provided at 3:44 to be sure the correctly sized tow truck would be dispatched. If they had the information, why did they ask for it a second time? Are they out of pencils and paper??? Tow truck finally arrived over two hours after the initial call. They were very efficient, professional and provided excellent service. Their arrival time was not their fault. The delay lies with AAA contract policy with tow companies. Apparently contracted pay for tow truck companies is standard nationwide. Companies in urban areas get paid the same as companies in rural areas. Consequently if a rural tow will not cover the cost of fuel let alone associated costs such as insurance, maintenance of the tow vehicle and personnel costs they do not answer the phone. Meanwhile, it takes time for AAA to realize that and eventually authorize payment to a tow company not under contract for a reasonable amount and pay them directly. While this BS was going on I was stuck on a rural highway with at least a 65 MPH speed limit less than three feet from the travel line of the highway. Every time a motor home, cattle trailer, horse trailer or 18 wheeler passed, the low pressure vacuum created when they passed caused them to be sucked towards my vehicle. Did I mention it was a dark, stormy night with violent weather in the area? I have been a member of AAA for 45 years. I think I have wasted my money. Why continue throwing cash down a rat hole?

Deceptive advertising! AAA advertises that they offer battery service, but, unfortunately this is no longer true. We have been members for 14 years and have never had a bad experience until October 5. Our car battery was dead and we called them to come and replace it. A guy in a car showed up and could only offer a jump. I called back and was told that No One could come out to replace the battery . We live in a large suburban area and I find it strange that no one was available. if AAA no longer provides battery replacement, they need to make this clear on their website. we will cancel our membership.

Came in for an international drivers license renewal. I asked if I can use my existing photo from my existing international driving permit and the rep replied "nope, you need a new one every year." So they charged me $15 dollars for a new photo!?!?!?? This is pure insanity. Bring your own photo or don't come here at all.

I'm new to AAA locations as I've been a AAA member for over a decade and this is my first time visiting a facility. I went in to get a document notarized and the process was very quick and easy. This branch is located in a shopping male complex near the inner corner of the mallUpon entering the place is set up with two sorta front desk and several cubicles like an office space set up. I was greeted by several individuals and asked what brought me in. I shared my purpose and was directed to the second front desk where the notary on-site was set up and reviewed my document and signed and notarized it. I signed her book and was on my way.I am happy to have experienced a actual AAA branch and will stop back here for my AAA needs.

If I could give them a zero, I would. I have been a member of AAA for 37 years in two states. Several years ago I had both membership (primere) and auto insurance. I had the Auto insurance for over 8 years, but after having a car ten years old, no accidents, I wondered WHY my insurance kept going up. I asked them multiple times for quote and finally I went to progressive and my cost savings were over a $100 a month. So I dropped their insurance which is really a ripoff. So this past year, still having the membership, I stopped in the local office to pay my membership fee ($90!!!). I noticed a few months after I kept getting membership reminders, so I sent them back and said I had already joined. This fall I got some more membership items and emailed them and asked them to investigate. Nothing. This winter I went online and signed in, only to be notified that my membership was expired. I went on my bank account and found the check I wrote them, WAS ENDORSED AND DEPOSITED IN THE MONTH IT WAS DUE BY AAA TEXAS. I now have a complaint with the BBB and will probably have to go to court to get my money back from AAA TEXAS. It is a shame since this used to be a pretty good organization.
